1904 Steak House at River City Casino & Hotel
We absolutely love it there. Food and service has always been FAB!!!
Steaks were cooked to perfection. Their sweet hitter on the dinner rolls is to die for! Our waiter was very prompt and kept drinks filled.
Awesome service. Food was good but one of the steaks was overcooked. Will definitely visit again.
This was a very nice place. The restaurant itself was beautiful. It had a nice bar area, and a good selection of beverages. They had a varied menu that allowed everyone to have a good choice. The food was very good, but the prices were a little higher than expected, especially for the portion size. You received an entree and a side, but a salad was extra. Our waitress was excellent, and made a great recommendation to my wife for her meal. I would go back, but not for awhile. Overall it was a very good experience.
Very pleased! Our service was outstanding, the food was amazing!! It was a great experience! I will be back!
Great wait staff, pleasant and attentive. We had thre filet mignon and it was cooked well and had a nice char on it. My only complaint was that my seat was directly under a vent, so I was chilly the whole time. Might have stayed for dessert otherwise!
Poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere
I would imagine that Valentines day is a tough day in the restaurant industry. Too many customers, not enough servers, demanding people but our experience was still mediocre. Our server was friendly, the people were friendly but the timing of the service and the quality of the food was marginal for the price paid. The Valentines day fixed menu consisted of two very tough prawns, a pretty good salad, and a filet that was tough and tasteless. The filet came with two pieces of overcooked asparagus and mashed potatoes. My wife asked if she could at first get regular butter with the bread and was told they could scrape off the salt and bring her another butter. She asked to swap out her mashed potatoes with a baked potato and was told there would be an up-charge. Strangely enough when they brought out her baked potato, it came with regular butter. We had to chase down anyone to refill out water. Just simply poorly run and the food was marginal. For what I paid, I simply expected a little more quality and service.
I was pleasantly surprised at the great value and amazing service. I will look forward to visiting in the near future. Thank you!
Good value for an upscale restaurant. 3 people serving our table at all times - felt special. We go to a fair number of casinos and frequent the steakhouses - this is one one of the best!
Early Valentines dinner. They have the best steaks in St Louis. Ask for a booth very comfortable and romantic.
For what I paid I would of hoped for a better experience. Not only was it load, the waitress didn’t do much of anything. The food was bad just highly disappointed.
Two a half hours to eat...service was bad, food was poor, except the Lobster soup Never go back!
Birthday! Caesar salad if little taste
My wife and I eat here quite frequently and always have a great experience. I would recommend 1994 steakhouse to anyone looking for a great night out with a fantastic meal.
My wife ordered the sea bass and no only did it stink when it came out, it was hardly edible. Felt sick rest of night. Pretty sure it wasn’t sea bass. For a restaurant that is suppose to be top notch, it didn’t live up to it. Pass on it!
Our waiter was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. Always kept drinks full and checked on us. However. The food was terrible. For $204 for 3 people I was expecting something edible. My other 2 guest just sucked it up and ate there food, but regretted it later that night. The bread and mash potatoes were the only thing I ate. Ordered a 12oz filet with grilled shrimp & aspargus. The steak had a foul smell and was completely raw when I cut into it. I received 3 aspargus, but it was only the tip tops and 3 jumbo shrimp that were very hard and had no flavor. Luckily our dining credit, plus my choice card covered the bill, but we will not eat at River City again. We had 2 more horrible food experiences at the buffet during peak hours on a Friday/ Saturday. I highly suggest not eating anywhere at that place.
Ask for Mary she was absolutely wonderful and made great recommendations.
I already recommend the Steak House to my friends. Everything was so exceptional. We all loved it.
Was very pleased with everything but the charbroiled oysters. Three had the shell size of a quarter. Those should never make it out to a table. Granted we don’t live near the gulf, but really??? The steak never disappoints as well as the service. But, loose the tiny, tiny oysters!!!!
Had a delightful evening meal with a few girlfriends. Great wine selections and steaks, scallops, lamb chops were all melt in your mouth good. Scrumptious cream brûlée’s and cheesecake. Nice wine list with affordable choices.
Our waitress, Mary, was awsome. She explained everything and went above and beyond to get some extra comps on my Casino Card. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and she brought us 2 amazing desserts. I do feel the food is a little pricey, but it was a nice evening celebration for our birthdays.
Service was great the waitress was very attentive to our needs and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming again
It was a great dining experience. Service and food were excellent. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. I recommend and will definitely eat there again!
This was without a doubt the best fillet and baked potato that I rchad in years!! It took quite a while for dinner but it was more than worth it.
Quality of food and service very poor at best. We were looking forward to dinner, our last visit, it was an over all pleasurable dinning experience. We invited another couple as well. Seated promptly, waited a considerable amount of time before wait staff addressed and took drink orders. Three of us had ordered old fashions they were the worst old fashions I've ever experienced I sent mine back and had a different drink it was full of orange pulp and rinds ,the drink itself looked like a grapefruit cocktail of some concoction it was full of bitters , when I said something to the waitress she basically gave me the idea that I had no clue how to make an old fashioned or what was in it and then she went on to explain to me that she put so much Bourbon in our glasses that she couldn't even top it off with club soda I have never had an old fashioned with club soda. Placed order for dinner my husband and I shared crab cakes, a beet salad, prime ribeye, with asparagus cooked med rare. crab cakes for both the size of maybe a large quarter at best they were very flavorful but very very small meager portions the beet salad was very flavorful they are kind enough to split the salad between my husband and myself the steak came it appeared to have a good sear on both sides when cut it was cooked correctly however it was seasoned very very poorly there was no salt on that steak asparagus amounted to three pencil-sized Spears on the plate , towards the end of the meal I was still hungry so I requested the whipped mashed potatoes which came to the table quickly they had zero taste does anyone in your kitchen taste the food before it goes out there was no salt whatsoever in those potatoes, other than taking our orders bringing our drinks and serving our dinner we very rarely saw Mary, after viewing the dessert menu we decided to move on, pineapple upside down cake pumpkin brulee what awful choices.
Great food, great service!!
Service and food are always excellent. Best steak!
Although not my type of place, 1904 Steak House was great. My wife and I went for our anniversary. We both enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak, fresh salad, and a beer. Overall great experience.
Absolutely amazing! The salmon was perfect. The shrimp cocktail was excellent. The cornbread is amazing. The filet mignon was one of the best I ever had. Cooked perfectly.
It was obvious our waiter was a new hire. And we could tell he was really trying hard. He did good but with some time, I think he will be a very good waiter.
Expensive....had an 8oz steak good flavor a little overcooked for the money would go somewhere else.
Overall good experience. Our waiter, unfortunately was inattentive. It took over an hour for just the soup to arrive. I went to the bar to ask for a second drink because it was an hour since the waiter came to our table. Other staff did come check on us and commented how long our food was taking, but waiter never apologized and we had to ask him to check on our food as I was concerned he forgot to ring our order in.
This steakhouse has the BEST steaks! Never disappointed. Great service too, several private rooms for special occasions . We celebrate friends birthdays there followed by some fun gambling in the casino!
Concert and dinner...The food was great, the service is wonderful and the atmosphere perfect!
Wasn't bad, there were a few things that didn't go smooth. However I believe that was consequential to when other guests were sat.
I mentioned it to be our anniversary and they set us in a more private area. That was really nice and made the dinner more intimate and enjoyable.
7th time there or so. Food is always amazing, filet with scallops...wine...really one of the top 5 places we go on date night.
I would not recommend this Steak house again to anyone. I have been there many times before and it's not been like this.
The restaurant was not crowded at all (I saw about 5 tables) and we were there approximately 1 1/2 hours .
The servers were nice but food was so slow. One would think when serving a Filet it would come with something besides itself on a plate, which just looked empty. Steak was crunchy on outside, but perfect inside. I did see a table send food back.
I think spending with tip $179.00 for two people should be extremely satisfying.
The small steak on the Sunset menu had a good flavor but very tough. The bread and baked potato were the best part of the meal. I will try it again but order a better cut of steak next time. Service was great!
