Very nice birthday celebration
Always great food and great place to have business lunch. I do prefer the upstairs seating to the main level.
Service and food were excellent, especially the fried brussels sproults (Cavolini). Also we had been stuck in traffic. We did call, but were 25 minutes late and they accommodated us with no issue.
The only thing is they are a little pricey.

My sister and I really enjoyed everything about our experience at 312 Chicago. Thank you to your staff for the service and the high quality food. My sister has trouble with her stomach after eating (her gallbladder was removed so she has to go to the bathroom after eating), but she did not have any issues with your food; she did not have to go to the bathroom right away. That is because of the high quality of the meal and the high quality of its preparation.

Always a delight....Zhanna (hope I'm spelling that right) was our dining facilitator (the term server doesn't do her justice)…..She is the best!.....always remembers our drink orders.....We can't wait to see the remodel.

I've walked by 312 dozens of times but for Valentine's evening booked a reservation.
It was perfection.
Every bite was delicious. Great melding of flavors, fabulous menu especially the pre-fixe multi course meal for valentines night. Service was attentive, ambience very nice, beverages excellent and the renowned chef Luca Corazzina stopped by our table. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. We will become regulars!
We had reservations but were running late but still wanted to have dinner before going to the theater. We explained to our waiter of our very short window of opportunity and asked what would we could order that would give us enough time. Our waiter said that the chef's could quickly prepare anything we ordered. We ordered a couple of pasta's and to our amazement our meals were on our table in a blink of the eye allowing us to enjoy a nice dinner and still get to our theater production with plenty of time.
The filet could have been cooked a touch longer. Service wasn't bad. Wasn't terribly noisy. Kind of interesting that the receipt was missing the tipping suggestions that they normally print for other meals that I've eaten there. Disappointed that no tiramisu on the dessert menu.

Chef Luca Corazzina is a hidden "Jewel" in the World of Chefs. You should always ask to say Hello to Luca as his response will make you feel not only a little more special, but like family. His food quality and preparation is "simply the best" from appetizers to a fillet of beef that is unlike anything I have ever tasted. The 312 Chicago was packed wall to wall and yet the noise level seemed non-existent as we could only hear the two of us talking. The customers dressed from suits and ties to relaxed jeans, and yet the entire restaurant "flowed" with the feeling of class personified. The Martini and other "fun drinks" we had just kept the smile on our face the entire 2 hours we were there. The Server did not try and rush us, and yet if you were in a hurry, others around us ordered right away. We had such a fun evening we stopped at the bar ( where you can eat as well ) for a night cap - two friendly bartenders make a great drink.
As much as I love Cafe LaCave, this is by far, my favorite restaurant in Chicago for any and all nights out.
I have enjoyed lunch there in the past, but this dining experience will always bring me and my family, and now my Daughter's company business back for dinner as often as possible. Thank you Chef Luca & staff.

312 is one of our favorite Chicago restaurants, in part because it’s within walking distance, but also because it is open when other restaurants are closed, and the menu offerings are consistently excellent. We can typically share a 3-course special and one extra entree and have plenty of food to share with each other. The waitstaff is superb - attentive, and well-versed on the food and beverage options.
We went for brunch before the opera. Excellent ambience. The menu was varied and food delicious. I love that the character of the building has been retained in the decor. Our service was impeccable. I highly recommend ! We will be returning.

We went for my husband's birthday during Restaurant Week and it was incredible.
Took my mom and 8-year-old daughter prior to seeing Riverdance. Had a wonderful experience I would highly recommend to all. Food was delicious, affordable for the nicer menu, staff was welcoming and friendly, and they made sure my daughter had a wonderful experience. It set the tone for a wonderful evening,!
This was my second time at 312. Both time were excellent. Food is excellent. Located by the Cadillac Palace theater.

Excellent choice for dining in theatre district, and phenomenal if attending Cadillac (literally right next door). Our group of four had different choices for dinner, but all dishes were worthy of high ratings for both presentation and taste. Prices, while not cheap, were very much in line with service, ambiance and quality of food. We would definitely return.

It's important to note that I was here during restaurant week, which is undoubtedly a busy and stressful time for any restaurant. Regardless, I was really disappointed by entire meal. Front of staff house was warm and polite, but our server seemed rushed, frustrated, and the service was particularly slow. Again, it was during what is probably one of the worst weeks to be a restaurant worker, but we were still paying customers and felt neglected.
Worst of all was the food quality though. We both ordered the a buffalo mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto appetizer and salmon dish off of the restaurant week menu, and were very disappointed. The prosciutto was burned to the point where there was no flavor other than smoke, and when asked how we wanted our fish cooked (have never been asked how we want fish to be cooked, but I think this is becoming a newer thing recently), we both ordered medium. While the person that I was with got what appeared to be a nicely cooked but not completely overdone fillet, I cut mine in half to a nearly completely raw center. The outside portion was cooked, so I started to eat around the raw center, but it was a really off-putting and unappetizing, and certainly not cooked to "Medium" standards. By the time our waiter came around to check how our meal was, I had already eaten what was edible and didn't feel right sending the dish back. Dessert was a fine passion fruit sorbet, but nothing exceptional. Disappointing service and really unappetizing food for a very high price. While I recognize that this was a busy and difficult week for all restaurant service workers, I will not be back.
I would definitely go back again.
My friend and I absolutely LOVED our dinner. We made sure to have the waitstaff share our pleasure with our meals to the chef. Everything was delicious.
The food was delectable and the service was spectacular. This was exactly the sort of ambiance and attention to detail I hoped for when I took my girlfriend to celebrate her 50th Birthday. We ordered off the Brunch menu - prosciutto wrapped around buffalo mozzarella, grilled artichokes with a tomato red pepper reduction and a balsamic glaze - just fantastic. For the entree we ordered grilled salmon over tri colored lentils which was outstanding and eggs Benedict with prosciutto and spinach. It was fantastic. The eggs were perfectly poached and the spinach was artfully wilted. We each ordered a cocktail - mine was a Bellini and hers was an aperol spritzer - both were artfully executed and delicious. After lunch we ordered limoncello And discovered they make their own at 312 - it was spectacular. It was an amazing lunch.
We arrived early due to some unexpectedly light traffic, and were concerned about whether a table would be available, but we were warmly welcomed and even received our "regular" and preferred table. Because it was restaurant week in Chicago, a special menu accompanied the regular one with some very creative Italian dishes, but I preferred an everyday choice, while my wife opted for the salmon. Both were pronounced excellent. Service was well-timed and the wine by-the-glass selections were varied and excellent. We recommend it especially for pre-theater at the Cadillac Palace Theater.
Excellent location and service for a pre-theater dinner. Our server, Frankie, was personable and attentive. The food was beautifully presented and very good. Portion sizes were small for American standards but very adequate. I will return the next time I plan on seeing a show at the theater next door.

Had a wonderful experience at 312! It was Chicago food week...menu was great, food was amazing! Our waiter Frankie was incredible! Highly recommend and will be going back next time I’m in Chicago!
