Consistently one of the best restaurants in Manchester - Authentic French food, great wine list and great service.
63 Degrees serves a mix of traditional and modern French cuisine that always makes me feel that I’m sat in Paris or Lyon.
A go to choice for a birthday, anniversary or special evening out.
Very good quality food, lovely staff and atmosphere. Went to celebrate a special occasion and was made very memorable by the overall fantastic experience.
Such a good value for set lunch. Hope can have different set menu every month so can try their other dishes. One of my favourite restaurant in Manchester.
Excellent food and great service. Lovely ambiance! Delicious and special meal. Maybe slightly overpriced but worth it for a special event!
Service was slow and very poor , food ok very over priced poor poor poor
We received a warm welcome. Service was very good. The chestnut veloute and pigeon burger were the stand out dishes for us.
Ambience was spoiled by the couple at the next table putting their friends on speaker for 10 minutes. Is this reasonable? Or not?
Overall the meal and service were very good. We will return but be brave enough to ask anyone to turn their speakers off next time!
Lovely food, great service and a nice atmosphere. Would return.
of course...this review is during Covid-19 so ambience (lack of it) is not the fault of the restaurant (not many in). I did think though that most French restaurants brought pain français to the table, but maybe that' only when there is a cover charge.
Don't get me wrong - very enjoyable but not cheap.
Had a really nice time, the food was very good and i did not feel over faced with the size of the plates. We will go again we are sure , the wine we had was also very good .
All tolled a great experience.
Amazing food! Would highly recommend! Lobster Salad was lovely
Fantastic food, great service, absolutely loved our meal.
very nice restaurant staff and food great valu e
Fabulous meal. Wonderful unobtrusive service. Took me back to France...
Food and service were excellent - it was our first visit but won’t be our last!!
Ambience and service was second to none. Food was excellent, the only thing that made me rank the food 4/5 rather than 5/5 was that the "pan-fried vegetables" I ordered as a side were a little too well softened for my liking, I would have preferred a little more crunch (but that's a very minor criticism more to do with personal taste), everything else was perfect. I was particularly surprised by the high standard of the cocktails on offer, which were better than those from most cocktail bars that I have visited. Highly recommended.
I had last been to this restaurant when under previous owner.
This dining experience was memorable! Though a bit quiet in terms of ambience, the food was superb. Seriously classy cooking....the snails with Vouvray reduction was rich and full of flavours.
My Boeuf was cooked perfectly to my taste and the Dauphinoise was an interesting variation on the norm.
Wine list is a bit limited, pricey, but of good quality.
Magnificent food and wine for this special occasion of my partners birthday! Would definitely recommend and go back!
Excellent home cooked food with a interesting French flair
One of the best reasturants in Manchester
Loved it. Amazing service along with exceptional quality and tasty food. Compliments to the chef and the great staff.
Thank you so much Nico :)
Belated birthday celebrating
As ever lovely cooking and well paced and diligent service. Glad this place is back
Unfortunately my wife and myself were not able to attend the booking l had made so my daughter and fiance went instead. We were very jealous as they never stopped raving about the total experience. The food was exceptional, good flavours and variety. They also said the staff were very attentive and friendly. All in all, they gave it a five star and they are very fussy, so it must be good.
We can't wait until we also can enjoy 63 degrees and hopefully won't be to long.
Our first visit to 63 degrees and loved it. We stuck to the set menu which had good choices and great value for money. Went for three courses and all were delicious. Also have a really nice selection of wine. Area has been developed and you can see many architectural features in the surrounding buildings that reflect the industrial revolution, nice vibe to the area. Definitely will visit again!
Been to Michelin star restaurants and this is on a par at less the expense
I can never understand why this restaurant is not overrun with customers. The location is a bit off the beaten track but everything about it is near flawless
A real gem. Wonderful food and charming service in the cool northern quarter.
So glad I researched ‘snails’ in Manchester
Food was stunning and the place itself is great
The red wine was a fantastic very good bodied wine, well worth the money
Staff very friendly and very professional
Definitely worth another visit
Overall worth every penny spent
This was our second time at 63 Degrees and both visits have been excellent. The lunch deal and the Tuesday tasting menu offer are both superb value for money. The dishes are modern in style and presentation but very traditionally French in flavour. 63 Degrees is without doubt the best French restaurant in Manchester in my opinion.
A very relaxed enjoyable sunday lunch - excellent service
Fantastic night. Will definitely be visiting again.
Authentic French cuisine, great experience. Food is superb, staff is very friendly offering great service.
Valentines Day - perfect
Extremely overpriced for what you get - £16 GBP -£18 GBP average price for a starter course and v.small mains portions. I purposely picked a Risotto dish @ £15 GBP for the main - as this was the lowest cost dish I could find. I have to say we weren't on a budget - because we weren't - and I really don't mind don't mind paying for good food, great service & atmosphere. However, when the restaurant has the front to charge £4.50 GBP for Evian water - and Asahi beer is only £3.80 GBP, something is dreadfully wrong with the pricing policy. My partner said she felt there was an air of snobbishness to the restaurant, which I did get, as I did feel there was an element of prententiousness (why, I don't know) - but given the location 63 degrees, it's completely out of kilter for the area.
Fabulous £20 menu for three courses. A lovely way to sample the food. Would definitely go back
Although we enjoyed the food and drink, it was overpriced and the portion size of the starters and side dishes were too small. To be honest, I was surprised that our main course didn’t have side dishes included in the price.
You could eat the same standard or better in France for half of the price that we paid. Also the waitress, although she was pleasant, gave us incorrect pricing regarding one of the dishes, which lead to us to paying more than we had expected to pay on the bill.
The head of house, manager, was a little bit arrogant and haute when we questioned the total of the bill, and the mistake that the waitress had made, and also when we asked what was used to light the creme brûlée.
Arguably one of the best meals I have had eating out in Manchester. French food was cooked to perfection, excellent wine and the service was spot on. Our waiter Kevin looked after us great. We will definitely be returning at some point to sample more of the menu. Very reasonably priced, a jewel of a restaurant!
Amazing food , very nice wine , great atmosphere , very nice restaurant , will be going back very soon .
Excellent food, ambiance & service. Only niggle was the charge of £9 for water (Evian) - we were not given the choice of bottled or tap.
