Abbondanza Ristorante

My wife and I had dined here once prior to our visit tonight with friends. Our first visit was great. We were greeted and sat promptly by staff. Soon after sitting bread and olives were landed on our table- really good, crusty bread. We ordered the escarole and white bean appetizer and the antipasto di casa, which were excellent.
I ordered the Frutti DiMare, my wife got the Gnocchi. The waitstaff delivered our meals together, as well as tonight with our party of four. Presentation is important, they get it. The Frutti Di Mare was in a large square bowl, stuffed with delicious mussels, clams and calamari, cooked perfectly in a tasty tomato sauce. The home made gnocchi was good as well.
The service was excellent from start to finish and the food as well. My only regret was not discovering this gem years earlier.

I had a fond memory of dining here maybe 15 years ago and was happy for a chance to try it again. The dish I hoped to re-order sadly wasn’t on the current menu. Delicious arancini appetizer special was a big hit but we were later dismayed by the price. We each ordered standard entrees (Marsala, Parmesan, Piccata) which were well prepared and generous portions but not especially memorable. Entrees included side salad which is a big plus but our salads used too much iceberg lettuce and red onion for our taste. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and service overall was better than expected. As this was a last minute dining out decision, we were satisfied. I will probably give it another try.

Delicious meals. We each had fish since it was Lent and I loved my haddock and my friend loved her swordfish. The veggies were great as was the bread served beforehand. Lovely waitress.

great service and great food. Pricing was not bad either considering the quality of the food. Will go back if I'm in the Boston area.

Amazing as usual. The best Italian we've ever had.

Abbondanza has so many things to choose from on the menu. The food is always delicious. The waitstaff is super friendly and eager to please. Salad is included with your meal. What restaurant does that anymore? Homemade Italian bread baked on the premises every day.

Traditonal style food. Some dishes excellent but some lack flavor. One selection is good with very good prices. What really stands out is the quality of the service which is attentive without being intrusive and genuinely friendly. It is very nice to have a white table cloth in a reasonably quiet room, perfect for conversation. Fridays and Saturdays can be crowded but never uncomfortable.

The best Italian food anywhere.. Price and value. The menu selections are incredible. Portions are perfect, hot homemade bread! The freshest fish anywhere. Chicken parm to die for! Every is delicious!! Service is always great! With plenty of staff to take care of you! We have gone once a month for the last 15 years.

Consistently excellent food, service and value. An excellent choice for true Italian food and close to the Encore Casino. A wonderful choice to make a night out in Everett; dinner at Abbondanza Ristorante and fun at the nearby Casino.

Nicely greeted, made us feel welcomed. Wait staff (2) introduced themselves and were very polite. Not too overly attentive.

We started with shrimp cooked in a grand manier sauce with sautéed baby spinach. The shrimps were tender and well seasoned. We each had dinner specials; trout with sautéed vegetables. Trout was melt in your mouth. Also ordered Chilean Bass with spinach risotto and the Chilean sea bass was so good, the risotto was creamy and flavorful. Was a great night, never felt rushed and I got the feeling it a nice neighborhood restaurant.

The food was amazing and the service was great too! Only complaint is that parking is difficult, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

We wished that they could separate diners a bit more, but everyone was pleasant and we all enjoyed our meals. The only server must have been overwhelmed, but remained calm and pleasant throughout. Food was plentiful and delicious. Wish we lived closer, because we would frequent this restaurant.

Great little restaurant off beaten path in Everett. My wife Pork Chip was hit and miss -- one chop was perfect -- the other one was thinner and slightly overcooked.

Abbondanza is small, cozy and delicious! Outstanding staff, our waitress was outstanding as she always is when we are there. Didn’t rush us at all as we went from appetizers to dessert. I booked it on open table and requested a candle on my husbands dessert as we celebrated his birthday and our Anniversary. Our waitress even put a candle on my dessert and my son’s! She is phenomenal!!! They pay attention to details and requests. Love Abbondanza and being going for years and will be for years to come!

We have been coming to this restaurant for several years and love the food. Very delicious Italian food, just like my grandfather used to cook! The owners are really nice and the wait staff is always pleasant. One of our favorite places to eat out.

Excellent! I felt I was in my mother’s kitchen having a fabulous Italian dinner!

Let me begin by saying that we have dined here quite frequently. It is not one of my favorite places but my family loves it. Upon arriving, I was surprised to see an empty restaurant when we were told that the only reservations were for later that night. I was also surprised when the waitress told us that they were not serving tap water as it was not clean. She pushed hard to sell the bottled water at $7 per. When she served ice, I questioned her why she was serving it when it was the same tap water. She replied that their ice machine was full for several days and the water used for it was clean. WHAT!! We ordered and everything seemed fine until on my 2nd bite of food, I found a long hair in my dish. When I brought it to her attention, her first response was it is not mine. She did apologize, brought me over a menu and said she would have the kitchen make me a new dish. She never offered to take it off the bill, which I have found standard when this happens. The only reason I did not cause a scene is my family loves it there (I don’t know why) and will probably return. I will not.

Wonderful food. Had chicken marsala, best ever. Service very attentive. Quiet ambiance. Relatives from Delaware and Seattle loved it, had fruiti di mare they loved it. Can't wait for another occasion to come again.
