40th Anniversary

Overall a great experience given the conditions in 2020. One of the few restaurants in Harrisburg to successfully adapt to the current dining restrictions.

Excellent food. Our waitress Parker was phenomenal. She was very attentive. Will be back!

The lamb was outstanding. It should be on the menu all the time.

Our table was next to there breakfast buffet or something, we ask
them to turn it off but they couldn't. It was very noisy!

Everyone there was super nice and attentive. It was my parents anniversary and the made them feel special

The menu in real life is completely different from the one on line and is uninspired and depressing. It was clear they were in maximum covid panic mode and the food they were offering looked depressing both on the menu and came out to other clients . We just drank our drinks and left— it seemed so sad, and we didn’t want it to dampen our day by eating their offerings.

Ad Lib never disappoints!! The atmosphere is energetic yet homey, and the cuisine is fun and delicious. Always a date night to look forward. We particularly enjoyed Chef Anthony’s balls mixed with the Ad Lib mac and cheese.

The manager took care of us. On their website the boubon paring was a cheaper price than in the actual restaurant. Our server Parker did the correct thing and she got the manager. He did honor the price on their website. We were excited to go out after many, many months of dinning indoors. Turned out to be a lovely evening with my husband. Thank you for taking care of us.

Outstanding food. Wonderful staff that was extremely adjustable to our needs. One of our guests had some food limitations and rather than adjusting the menu, the chef came to her with three off-menu options to accommodate to her needs. The food was great and we all left happy. Thank you.

Wonderful! This was my second visit to Ad Lib. Very enjoyable.

Very quiet due to low volume. Only one other table being served.
Great digs, can see it hopping in the evening.
Chicken sandwich and burger were very well prepared. Lunch was attractively and promptly served. Fries and chips were great but a little over salted for us. Will return and recommend.

Service was excellent. Drinks weren’t made too well, food was okay but overpriced.

We were looking for a dining experience outdoors to celebrate a birthday among family safely. The Ad Lib Cafe gave us that opportunity to do it safely and have an enjoyable dining experience and good time together. The food and service were excellent.

We treated ourselves to this lovely place for our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff, not just our server, were completely attentive to us and made our experience amazing.

Excellent service and Parker was fantastic. The food was delivered fast and it was cooked perfectly. The staff accommodated our changes and made it a very pleasant evening.

Server was good but a bit intense. Love the ambiance and the food was great. It’s in the Hyatt, which is usually a turnoff for me, but great location.

the staff was very efficient and courteous our waitress Amanda new the menu items and was able to answer any questions about them, the food was great and we topped off the night by walking one block to see the Harrisburg fireworks display, the only bad part about that was that somebody brought there dogs to the fireworks and one of them took off running down front street full tilt and I'm hoping he didn't get hit, he was scared to death from the banging of the fireworks, I pray he was found and is ok.....

This place (1700 Degrees specifically - the 2 are currently merged) is our favorite for a reason. Despite the limits with COVID-19, they still managed to make it a special night for my husband's 40th birthday. The food and service were excellent from start to finish. The menu is more limited (it's a combo of 1700 and Ad Lib) but we were not at all disappointed. We enjoyed perfectly made cocktails, meatballs and salad for our first course, filet and halibut for the main, and we shared the most amazing piece of carrot cake for dessert. The staff went above and beyond to make it a great night (and our first out to dinner in 4 months!).

Excellent meal. I like having items from AdLib and 1700 Degrees. Service was good and precautions, social distancing, staff coverings were all observed.

First post quarantine dining out experience. Outdoor seating, so accompanying increase in noise level. Our server, Rob, was outstanding, as was the food. Social distancing and mask use were observed.

Everything we ordered came out hot and fresh. I would 100% recommend this place.

The food, service, and craft cocktails are all something to write home about! Great atmosphere, ambiance, and hospitality! Definitely recommend the cauliflower & Brussels sprouts appetizers to start! Steak was cooked perfectly and paired well with their homemade Worcestershire sauce!

We enjoyed dinner while in the “yellow phase,”so we were outside on the patio. Everything was handled very well. We were able to order from a smaller menu that was a mix of both Ad Lib & the 1700 steak house. Food was wonderful! Sanitizer was available, silverware came wrapped in plastic wrap, paper menus, etc. we felt safe and well taken care of while dining.

Always a great time, but this evening with Amanda as our server she was personable, friendly, and right on with everything! And it was great to see Dave (bartender) after our two month COVID break....

Great place for tapas and small plates. Food was very good however our service could have been better. Several times we had empty drinks and had to remind our waitress for our beers and cocktails, which one of those drinks was forgotten.

Other than that, good experience but no need to return on a repeated basis.

Ad Lib was a great way to have a fancy meal for a reasonable price! The food was so fun and different. The ingredients in some dishes were so obscure that I just had to trust that it would taste great. And it did! We didn't have a single complaint. Our bartender, Isaac was knowledgable and well-spoken. Our server, Stephanie was so helpful with giving recommendations! Her energy was contagious; it made us even more excited to be there!

Food, service, and atmosphere were awesome! The valet parking was an added plus.
