Incredible service, amazing meal. Beautiful space but on the traditional side. Very expensive but worth it.
This was totally worth it. Even though we didn't get the wine pairing we did the full 10 course menu which was spectacular. We added the Wagyu beef as an 11th course. Absolutely delicios
This restaurant deserves 2 or 3 Michelin stars. I’m sure they’ll receive them soon. Go here before you can’t get a reservation.
There was no menu (the 5 or 10 course tastings are the only options aside from supplements like cheese and, for us, Wagyu beef) so every course was a surprise. The chef made a number of accommodations for our table so make sure you tell them about any allergies or aversions before things get started. The food was excellent and there were some surprises that evoked fond food memories.
The wine list is very strong in every variety and price range. It’s impossible to be disappointed if you order bottles here. Go for value or splurge in the $175+ range and you’ll find some unforgettable wines
The service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was sincerely invested in us having a perfect dining experience.
There’s a fireplace outside that would make for an excellent location to have an after dinner drink and cigar.
Make a reservation here and prepare for an hours long food and beverage experience that rivals anything in the world.
Congratulations on your first Michelin Star! Addison deserves the next two. Fantastic!
We have been wanting to try Addison for many years. It was my husbands birthday and it seemed like a good time. The food, wine and service are all deserving of the Michelin Star. They made the birthday celebration special with every detail. It is appropriately pricey, given the creative detail in every course.
San Diego is so fortunate to have access to Addison. Their new format of 5 course or 10 course meals is perfect. Each amuse bouche, intermezzo and serving, and there are many, are truly surprise and delight moments. My vocabulary cannot do Addison justice. Our experience so exceeds the price of admission and is highly commended. Chef Bradley deserves greater than the exceptional Michelin recently awarded. Amazing talents in the Addison kitchen.
Everything was extraordinary. Service was perfect. Never to slow;never to fast. Each of the 5 courses was delicious. Very expensive but the ultimate venue for a special occasion (like my birthday).
Outstanding experience dining at Addison right after their receiving their well-deserved Michelin star (they probably deserve two). The sommelier, Rafael, is wonderful - and even if you're not doing the full wine pairing he will give you excellent advice on glasses. We did the 5 course menu, which was more than enough food. Not every course was equally innovative, but the best courses were magic, and the service is unparalleled. Considering the service and how much exciting food you are getting, it is a better value than many other "fine dining" places in SD that do not deliver the same experience. And just when you think you are totally full, there is a post-dessert after the regular dessert (which followed a palate cleanser sorbet) - then gourmandises to take home in a beautiful little bag. Thank you, Addison, for a wonderful and memorable evening!
We visited Addison Restaurant for our anniversary last Wednesday. We had an early reservation so had most of the wait staff to ourselves. The ambiance was good and the food was excellent. However we felt quite unsettled when the bill arrived. We each chose the four course menu at $110 each. Each course had 3 choices. Apparently there was some kind of small asterisk on at least one of each of the choices per course, which we didn't even notice, and the waiter did not mention. When our bill arrived we were charged an extra $105 for choosing one pasta appetizer and two beef entrees. I think if you advertise a four course menu for a set price, you shouldn't tack on an extra $40 for choosing the beef, and $25 for choosing the pasta! I understand that this is a 5 star restaurant, and that most people who visit don't care about the price, but we felt we were "tricked" with hidden costs. It was a sad way to end our anniversary.
The food is both tasty and well presented. We didn't have to go for the most expensive package to enjoy the experience and food.
It was otherwise a lovely atmosphere for our first anniversary dinner. However, I do want to share: we brought a bottle of white and a bottle of red, which we intended to pair with our dinner service. What’s mystifying is that it was nearly one hour before any edible appeared on the table — bread? amuse bouche? — even though we had had a cocktail and were the white wine. Our server rather precipitously poured and refilled our glasses, seeming to push us through the bottle. We shouldn’t have the feeling that drinks and our own wine are being rushed upon us, especially when there’s nothing edible to accompany them. Such conditions do not lend to being able to enjoy the meal that eventually began to arrive — and for the most part was exceptional.
Excellent service and a dining experience worth the hype. Elegant, delicious and creative tasting menu and the staff is impeccable. We had the four course meal with wine pairings and it was more than enough food. Perfect way to spend our anniversary.
Definitely one of the best if not the best restaurant I ever visited in the US (coming from Europe with a large experience of up to Michelin 3Star restaurants). All courses were premium and the service was outstanding. By my estimation the restaurant deserves two Michelin Stars.
What a wonderful experience! The food was not only beautiful but excellent. The service was next level. I hope to be back again!
Unforgettable experience! One of the best meals of my life! Thank you to the team everything was perfect
Excellent all around experience by an expert staff that made for a perfect evening of fine dining. The dishes were creative and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable. They warrant Michelin stars on all levels.
Fantastic experience. Food and presentation was on point as expected . Our waiter, Matthew, along with other staff members created a genuine and personable atmosphere. Chef Bradley/ Addison is well worthy of no less than a Michelin.
Best meal I have wver had! Service was stellar!!
All the criticisms of others - lacks creativity, overly relies on salt, and terrible bread - are accurate. The service is fussy and the decor very dated. I don’t see any Michelin stars here.
Absolutely fantastic experience from entry to finish, were treated like royalty. Once in a lifetime experience. Michelin -TAKE NOTICE -better than French Laundry and Manresa.!!
The food was excellent and the servers were very good. They take care of you in a professional and elegant way. But the wine service was subpar. Too bad since we paid so much for the dinner! Took forever to bring the wine to the table, and after tasting this French white, we expected it to be chilled. But this young server came by and poured it into my glass. I had to say STOP! and get him to put the bottle back on ice. After several minutes, I had to flag down another server and ask him for some ice cubes so I could drink the bit of wine already in the glass. Small problem, but I expected better at such a fine restaurant.
Amazing food and service in a wonderful location, highly recommended
What a wonderful experience. My wife and I decided upon the chef’s selection along with wine pairings. The creativity, presentation and taste of the food was superb and the sommelier had chosen a perfect selection of wines to accompany each course. We were visiting San Diego to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the evening at Addison, which happened to be on her birthday, was the highlight of our trip. The evening was expensive, particularly as we are from Canada and the exchange rate is far from favourable but this last comment should not deter choosing Addison’s if you have reason to celebrate or simply want to experience an unforgettable dinner/evening.
Addison gets better and better every time I dine there. Chef Bradley and his staff are one of a kind.
Food choices are creative and delicious. Service is impeccable. Head and shoulders above all other San Diego restaurants in every way.
Superb! Best in town.
Excellent service! Tasting menu was delicious!
My fiance and I went here for my birthday weekend. This was the BEST dining experience of our lives. The service, food quality, and ambiance was more than I ever expected. Also the most expensive dining experiences too, but you get exactly what you pay for here. Outstanding cuisine served by amazingly friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back next year Addison!
Wine & Food pairing with my wife
Amazing experience & food - but plan to pay! Easily one of the top 5 restaurants in world I’ve experienced right up there w/ any Michelin 2 or 3 star.
Their service, accommodations and timing were impeccable.
Easily a lifetime memory made here w/ our meal.
Always a lovely dinner with excellent service and great food, although the food was not up to their usual spectacular level. Two of the dishes were way too salty. Service and wine was fantastic as always.
Everything was perfect!
I should have done my homework and read some reviews. I am not a fan of what I call "fussy restaurants" whether they be French, Continental or whatever. Nouvelle cuisine...not my idea. That is what Addison is. Hardly any vegetables or salads in sight. The portions were tiny, lots of upcharges for items when it was already an arm and a leg to dine there. Anyway...this was not a great evening for us.
Great experience....Amazing food and service!!
Impeccable service. Gorgeous plates. Delicious food. Great wine.
The food was boring. For $250 per person I would expect an experience on the tasting. The chef play it too safe with his traditional cooking. The food tasted decent, some are a little too salty. Doesn’t have any creativity in the flavors.
The dinning room feels sad with the decor. Need some fresh flowers to uplift the place.
The services are excellent from every staff. If it wasn’t for the excellent services I would be very angry to drop $1,000 for the two of us at this place.
We came to Addison to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday, and it blew us away. The service was impeccable, the food was heavenly, and the wine pairing left us surprised in all the best ways. This is definitely a meal, and an experience, that we'll never stop talking about!
El mejor restaurante en San Diego, un lugar lleno de detalles
Every dining experience at Addison has always been perfection, that's why we keep going back. The food is amazingly delicious and the service is flawless.
