Excellent service, excellent food. Had reservations for our wedding anniversary. We had the 5 course tasting: canapes, Alaskan king crab, artichoke au gratin, caramelized cod, and barbequed pigeon. We also had dessert, le grande finale. Everything looked too good to eat, and tasted even better. What a great dining experience!
Me and my 2 kids went to Addison to celebrate my daughter's birthday. It was the most amazing experience we have ever had. The service was impeccable, food was like no other and the wine out of this world. I have never witnessed synchronized service before and I do not understand how they do it so effortlessly. I highly recommend Addison to everyone so they can have a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you for the best evening ever.
Our experience at Addison was so much better than we could even hope for. It was very fun, the staff was engaging and so helpful, and the tasting menu was gorgeous. Hands down one of the best experiences. Definitely a must if you're in the area. Absolutely sublime.
It was good... It just wasn't $500 good. It's really rather sickening to see that parts of our society are wasting so much on something so trivial.
What a great experience at San Diego’s only Michelin star restaurant. Chef really gave us something to remember with a fantastic A5 Wagyu.
Best service in SD. Great food.
Amazing food and presentation. Great for Vegetarians also.
Perfect evening. Perfect service. Superb food. We could not have asked for a better experience.
Food, service and ambiance were amazing. We chose the 5 course menu with wine pairings. It was closer to 8 courses with the amuse bouche and palate cleansers. Definitely came away full.
I guess if you can afford to eat here you shouldn’t be asking how much things cost in addition to the basic cost of the set menus. At least I was given a heads up by friends who went two weeks before and didn’t have complete sticker shock when we got the bill.
Amazing experience all around.
Absolutely over the top. Most incredible epic dining experience ever. The service was stunning. Every course expertly prepared and explained to perfection. It’s a bucket list worthy experience.
The food and experience are fantastic! They wen't above and beyond for my experience.
Nice ambience. Great food. Very good style of service. Tad costly but overall very pleasant. Just wished I would have known in advance they were cigar friendly.
Service was excellent, food was very good but a little bit pricey for what it was. Need to work on the location in GPS or provide instructions for people coming from the city as GPS send you through back and cannot Accra restaurant that way.
For future reference, supplements should be clearly called out as all Michelin starred restaurants do.
We reserved a table at Addison's for my 65th birthday. The staff made the evening special in every way. The food is creatively prepared and absolutely delicious. I would love to visit the kitchen and watch the prep, start to finish. I can't imagine how it all comes together. They do a masterful job. It is a magical dining experience.
My bf and I celebrated our anniversary 4 years ago, I would say the service was impeccable but the food was good but too much for 10 course meal for a no Michelin Star restaurant and the price was too expensive than Grace of Chicago that has 3 stars. Fast forward, they earn their star, since my sister’s bday and give Addison another try. Over all the food was just right ,the taste has vast improvement and the service is still the same, impeccable. But the price is still on the high side for a 1 Star, they deserve at least a 2 star than 1 to match the price of the food and services. These Michelin people need to visit Addison again and give what they deserve which is an extra star. Thank you Addison for a wonderful evening.
Exceptional service, worthy of its Michelin star! Go there for to celebrate the most special of occasions.
This was a great experience. Service was exquisite! It could have been stuffy but the staff went with our mood and were professional, engaging and funny.
The food was inventive and delicious! Their take on chips and dip was exceptional! The savory profiteroles were to die for.
There is no way to comment on the wine list except to say, there is t enough time to make it through the list. Extensive is an understatement. They can cater to any budget and have many rare wines and vintages.
Be ready for a long evening. The ten course tasting takes time. But worth it!!
It’s an expensive undertaking so, be prepared.
Amazing dining experience!!!! Can't wait to go back again!! Loved every minute of it!!
An experience your palate and senses will delight in. If you have the stamina the ten course tasting menu with wine pairing it is quite the hedonists delight. Starting right with the amuse bouche and ending with the gift of chocolates when you leave.
The entire experience was immaculate. The food was amazing, the sommelier was fantastic!
French Landry in San Diego
Wine .... out of this world
Fine dining does exist in San Diego after all. It is an experience and not just a meal. Five hours of perfect service, perfectly prepared food, and great ambience. Not for those who are shy with their wallets, as a tasting paired with wine, with two of us was $1500 before the tip. If you are looking for a place to take someone for a special occasion this would be it. It was a great experience.
Exceptional! Beyond comparison to anything in Southern California.
Outstanding food, service and overall experience! Expect to be wined, dined and entertained for a special afternoon or evening. It was an exceptional experience!
Both the food and service were beyond exceptional.
This place was in one word: Exquisite! From A-Z, if I were to nit pick, the decor is not to my taste where it caters to a mature audience, but the food and service are right up there with any.
It’s a high-end, fine dining space. The extraordinary service and well executed food give us a memorable night.
World class service and food. Best in San Diego for sure.
Addison is, by far, the most spectacular dining experience in Southern California. In June the restaurant evolved its menu to feature Chef William Bradley's tasting menus. Guests are given the choice of a 5- or a 10-course tasting menu and then are invited to sit back and experience each successive surprise as it emerges from the kitchen. Each dish features a unique fusion of taste and texture. Each dish is presented in a visually fascinating way on imaginative dinnerware. The wine list is extensive and features wines from California, France, Italy, Germany, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The wait staff operates with more synchronization than a water ballet team. Tables are spread at generous distances and oriented in ways that make each table seem as if it is the only table in the dining room. Addison is Southern California's answer to Blackberry Farm and the Inn at Little Washington.
We took our friends for dinner, to celebrate her 60th anniversary! It’s was a special evening: excellent food, artistic presentation, elegant ambiance, professional and welcoming service. It doesn’t get better than that often.
Can't be beat for a special occasion!
Expensive, but worth it.
The food & service were amazing as always. Make sure to come here when I'm in San Diego. And loved that they changed from a 4-course pre-fixe meal to a 5-course tasting menu. What fun to be surprised with each course!!
This should be a Michelin 3-star restaurant (not 1-star). The service and attention to detail were phenomenal. The food and wine fantastic. Be prepared to drop a very large chunk of money, particularly if you do the wine pairing. The attention from the staff though, is definitely worth the money. Everything was amazing!
It's expensive, but unlike any other dining experience.
Our experience was over the moon. The meal was exceptional and we ate and loved food that we would have never ordered. We were served sweet breads and would never have ordered them. To our surprise, the sweet breads were excellent. Over all it was an amazing dining event. Thank you William Blake!
Immediately greeted by the welcoming staff.
Significant revamped menu since our last visit in Feb 2019 and excellent service as always. The name recognition because of the Michelin star certainly made booking a table a lot more difficult but it’s absolutely worth it.
