   The appetizer(calamari) was good, the pasta wasn’t the best and the vanilla gelato was the worst gelato I’ve ever had in my life it tasted like it had garlic season and like meat, tasted very old as if it been in the freezer for months and I let the manager know but he could care less. Overall the experience was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant and I’ve been there before a couple of months ago and it was not like what I experienced yesterday.

   We came to celebrate my birthday and it was a great time. I ordered the Caico e Pepe. It was good but maybe just a little too peppery for my liking. At the end of the meal, they surprised me with three very delicious cannolis! I would come back!

   This restaurant is a gem in this convention center neighborhood. We appreciate the availability of table at the last minute even amid a big convention. Perhaps it is a best kept secret of the neighborhood. Anyhow, we were very happy with our food and beer. The pasta with mushroom and truffle oil was the most memorable. The signature garlic bread is a must as well. We will bring our family here in the future.

   We had googled top rated restaurants near our hotel on K street and my son loves Italian. Alta Strada was the top rated Italian restaurant and it’s obvious why. The food was amazing! Literally the best Italian food I’ve ever had and I’m a foodie! Service was impeccable! We’d go there again and again if we lived in DC!!

   I really loved this place. The location was great, the serving staff was so nice, and the food was amazing. On top of this, my party ordered something after the bill was delivered and one of the wait staff took it upon himself to pay for it. Truly amazing people and I will be coming back here again.

   It was lovely to return to Alta Strada since before the pandemic. The energy on a cool, wet Friday night was electric. Almost every table was full by 7. While it is no longer on the permanent menu, our server, Roger, was able to get the kitchen to provide a deliciously satisfying cacio e pepe - for us to split - along with the special pizza (white pizza with broccoli rabe and sausage). The host was welcoming and circulated throughout the evening - EXACTLY what a proper host should do! Seemed to be many locals and returning diners - always a good sign. We will be among them going forward.

    All of our food was really tasty and server was friendly and attentive. Only reason for 4 stars is I would have expected a better ambiance for a newer restaurant at this price point. Felt a little bare bones.

    Came for Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend and we had a great time. We both got the fettuccine alfredo and were too full at the end to get dessert. Store was cute and location was accessible.

    The servers were friendly and attentive. It’s a very nice restaurant and the food was delicious! The chicken parm and roasted potatoes are the best I’ve had in a long time. The tiramisu was luscious and delicious. We will definitely come back to this restaurant when we visit Washington.

    Best food I’ve had in my travels. Dish after dish was vibrant, fresh and just a delight. Service was phenomenal and the experience was one I would highly recommend. Ps. The chocolate caramel cake was to die for.

    The food was really amazing starting with the bread with the spicy marina very good. The calamari was the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant period. The pastas were just out of this world as well. And to top it off the tiramisu was just to die for honestly a 10/10 experience I will defiantly be back soon!

    We went during Restaurant Week. It was a 3 course fixed menu but with options/upgrades for additional money. Very worth it- Delicious!!! Service was good! Drinks great!

    Excellent in all respects. This was our first visit and we came away much impressed! The menu is extensive as is the wine list. Our waiter was superb and very helful in making our choices, The taggliatelle was absolutley delicious, very nicely seasoned and a very generous portion. We watched everyone have the garlic bread delivered to their table. So, we tried it. It was tha bomb, as was the roasted brussels sprouts, Everything was expertly seasoned and had incredible aromas while being light on the palate. This may have been the most wonderful Italian meal we've ever had. Prices are moderate but the portions are generous. Take some home!

    Anti-pasta was good. Pasta dishes were super oily. Cannolis were not listed as lemon favor but were but also had cocoa powder which was a very strange combo.

    My wife and I went here for Restaurant Week. Their deal was truly unbeatable. From the appetizers to the desserts, we were full and happy. For our entrees, we ordered the Tajarin Fra Diavolo and the Fedelini Cacio Pepe. Both were so good!!! The portion sizes were huge, and we had enough to take home for two additional meals each. The reason that this review is only three stars is the service. Our waiter was supercilious and condescending (yes, I know these are basically the same thing, but that’s how over the top his attitude was), and just not pleasant to have as part of the experience. I wish I could remember his name. Now, when we go, we sit at the bar because it seems like he’s ALWAYS THERE. *insert sad face*

    We did the restaurant week menu and added their Brussel sprouts. EVERYTHING that came out of the kitchen was a amazing. Our service was also amazing . Even though we had a late reservation we didn’t feel rushed, everyone was really attentive!

    My daughter and I celebrated our birthdays. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The sever and entire staff were pleasant. We even ordered take out chicken parm for my husband and he was very pleased with the dish. Thank you for making our birthday dinner memorable.

    Some of the food was awesome. Chicken parmigiana and the meatballs - to die for, the sauce they used for the pasta and the meatball appetizer, WAY TOO SPICY!! Burned my stomach and made me feel like I had fire breath. Overall not bad, beyond the chicken parm, not sure I would really go again.
