Superb from beginning to end.
We always have an enjoyable experience here, start to finish, highly recommended!
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service. The old adage "You get what you pay for" applies here, it's fine dining but you won't be disappointed.
We celebrated our belated anniversary dinner at American Seasons again this year. We felt safe in their outdoor patio, complete with heaters. The menu is always wonderful, the wait staff attentive and accommodating, and the ambience perfect for couples or small groups.
Thank you for making our evening so special.
This was our 25th wedding anniversary as we had told the restaurant prior to coming. We arrived on time and had confirmed a table in the enclosed terrace area but were taken inside which was lovely but not as expected. Our waitress was initially lovely. We ordered a cocktail prior to dinner and as we ordered our dinner we also ordered our wine which was a lovely bottle. Our appetizers came and no wine. We ate the appetizers and didn’t see our waitress until after we had just finished and asked for our wine and she was a bit snippy with us. Ok - well we all have a tough day so we just said nothing. Dinner came and our wine was served just prior. We ate dinner, which to be fair was fantastic as was our appetizer but we really wanted our wine to begin at our appetizer and through the dinner - not to be finished with the dessert. We ordered dessert which was lovely but typically we order a port but our wine was still there. Ordered an espresso martini to finish our dessert and as we finished - we paid the bill and tipped well. There were a few others celebrating anniversaries and were congratulated but ours was never mentioned. And as we were sitting (and to be clear we were never lingering) our waitress informed us that their next seating had arrived which frankly was her way of saying “ok time to leave even though you just spent almost $500 for two for dinner - so drink that last drink and move on”. I’m sorry - we were there for less than 2 hrs and not a “thank you” but a “move on folks”. That is simply rude and not how you treat a customer.
Fantastic! Food was delicious.
The food was very tasty but the service was beyond disappointing. Did not make. $500+ dinner seem worthwhile.
Our starters were good, chicken liver pate and beet salad. The roast pork entre was very small portion and very dry. Not good.
It's a nice place, cool ambiance, great food... but extremely overpriced for what you are getting (even by Nantucket standards). We weren't even served bread at the table (shrugged it off that "oh, only the early reservations get bread"... odd). I expected a lot more for what we ended up paying. All in, I can't say I didn't have a great time here, notwithstanding the price tag... just be prepared for some sticker shock
Delicious dinner! Prices were high but then again it’s ACK. The good news the food was beautifully prepared!
Went for our anniversary dinner and it was beyond what we were hoping for. The ambience was romantic, the food really delicious and the wait staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Highly recommend!!
Always a great meal and this most recent visit didn't dissapoint.
We will be back!
If you're looking for an exquisite meal prepared by a talented chef, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. Reservations are a must and attire is casual.
One of my favorite Fall spots, but a recent dinner left a lot to be desired. We waited for a table for a long while and then the food arrived overcooked. Our seat (due to Covid) was also in an undesirable location with too much light.
Great food and service.
We love American Seasons and try to get there weekly!
With so many great restaurants to choose from on Nantucket, we ate here three times this summer. The food has been delicious, the halibut and chicken liver pate were excellent and they had some nice craft cocktails. I love the cozy dining room here.
It was fabulous. Matt is a great GM and the service was outstanding.
We dined with dear friends. Terrific food and service with great advice on wine. We will be back. Thank you for such a special evening.
We've dined here many times - it has become a traditional part of our annual Nantucket trip. Great food and a cozy atmosphere. Service this time was a little off but in light of the Covid situation not surprising. We'll be back again!
Wonderful evening with excellent service and delicious food. We will return again.
Everything about this meal was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant is charming . The food was absolutely delicious and you will savor every bite. Our server was very attentive. The expresso martinis finished off a spectacular evening and meal. Highly recommend for any special occasion.
The food and service were incredible!! We will be back!
The honey crusted halibut was outstanding and the wait staff was friendly and very attentive.
The wait staff and food were outstanding. The gentleman at the front was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. To be fair; we were late. I misread my reservation time. We did finished within the allotted time given for our table. I was accused of not trying to reach the restaurant; not true. The phone rang busy each time I called.
The excellent and friendly wait staff and delicious food saved the day, and we truly enjoyed our dinner.
I have not been to American Seasons for a long while, mostly since I have not been to Nantucket in 6 years. The service and food were excellent. It is a lovely place and it certainly was Covid friendly. Please try to get a reservation!
Delicious tasting food. The service and atmosphere were excellent.
The food here was very good but overpriced for the quality. The service was horrible! We’ve traveled globally extensively and have a tolerance for subpar service but from the moment we arrived the maitre d was rude and obnoxious. The waiter seemed very disinterested. For $50-75 entrees they need to try harder.
Food was good. Lovely place. Very low lighting though. Would go again
We ordered Scallops and Tuna Crudo as appetizer, halibut and fluke as main course. The fish was fresh, food was very good (was “rich” though, cooked with a lot of butter and olive oil), but overpriced for what they offer overall (tomato salad for $20). The price would be ok if their service and ambiance were better. The service was awkward, and they were a bit “eager” to have our table for the next client. The restaurant is dark with low ceilings and old fashioned decor. For the same price I’d definitely recommend Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant, Topper’s.
The manager at the door was rude.
We spent a week between Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, and this was our favorite dining experience by far. Very well done to the team!
Excellent friendly service and wonderful food!! We will be back
We came to celebrate our engagement and they were just lovely!!!
Terrible service. We had to wait for our table which happens. However, the waiter seem to think that was just fine. He stood at the table next to our for 10-15 minutes talking about his personal website after we finally sat down And we sat there. Parched. When his manager asked if he’d taken our drink orders he said “they can wait like everybody else.” Never an apology. Never a jester. Just very high prices and a feeling directly opposite of what hospitality is supposed to engender. Nantucket: pay more, get less.
