Pizza was delicious!!!! Quality ingredients and tasty white sauce. Will definitely be back
Todd and his staff has done an excellent job with this new location!! We had the calamari and mozzarella, both were fried crispy and both served with hot fresh marinara sauce and breaded well! You can tell the fry oil was clean, fresh and hot!! The marinara sauce was bright and full of chunks of tomato and other ingredients!! We had pizza as our entree! It was huge!! The thin crust was cooked to perfection, the toppings were fresh ingredients (mushrooms, sauteed onions, roasted peppers). Cloth napkins add a touch of elegance!
We will definitely be back!! Thanks for a great evening!!
Great table, great food, and overall great evening!!
The food was excellent as always. The service was a bit lacking though. We did not get our appetizer, and waitress made excuses for that happening. The service was slow as well. Overall it was good, just wished the service was better.
I had been to the former location a couple of years ago and it was a great experience. However, my experience last evening at the Northborough location was terrible. The service was just awful. They were clearly understaffed, and yet our server never mentioned that, nor apologized for long wait for food, not clearing any of the app/salad plates, leaving us with dirty dishes and no check. We were there for over two hours, just for an app, salad and 2 pizzas. All of the tables around us either were full of dirty dishes, or equally unhappy customers. It was “National Pizza Day”, on top of it all... They should do better! We won’t be back.
We had a party of 11 plus 2 infants, they were very accommodating. The food was delicious and the prices weren’t bad either! Definitely will be back when in the area.
This was our first experience at the new location. The brick oven pizza was as good as usual. The service was also as good as at the Grafton location. We found the new location a bit lacking of the ambiance that the old location had.
That being said, we went for the food, and we were not disappointed.
Slow Weekday night, food good, but cool when should have been warm or hot. some lacking serving utensils, had to ask. Service although pleasant, it was slow and un-interested.
Great pizza!
The food was excellent. Chicken parm was moist, tender, and flavorful. The brownie sundae (a special) was delicious, served hot with a fudgy center and vanilla gelato. Service was very slow, but we didn't mind since we were catching up with friends. The wine list was a bit sparse but had reasonably priced wines. I miss the ambiance of the Grafton location but will be back to the new location.
Husband and I have gone to Anzio's about 5 times since they've opened. We've had several of the various salads, pizza, calzones (a big favorite, custom made to your liking), and dinner. The food has been fresh, well prepared and delicious. The wait staff is friendly, accommodating, and attentive. We enjoy it very much and would recommend Anzio's without hesitation.
Pizza is always good. The dinners we ordered were good except the pasta was served cold.
The salad should come out before your meal not after.
Food is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. Beautiful bar area which is also a nice eating area. Prices are a bit steep. Wish it was a bit more affordable to frequent more often.
Food was very good ... Best eggplant ever according to my wife. Pizza was very good, definitely the best around this area. Small tap list but solid choices.
Love the new restaurant. Really enjoy the enhanced menu. Only complaint.......entrees tend to be too salty.
A large party was sat on the other side of the restaurant, leaving only booth seating . The waitress and other staff were very disorganized.
Could use larger serving of bread with their tomatoes and mozzarella appetizer
Alcohol prices are very high
I miss the Grafton location
Great food, nice atmosphere.
The new location is absolutely beautiful, staff is incredible and food is top notch. Kudos to Todd and his team.
Place was very crowded, had a 6 pm reservation and glad we did!! Able to sit at the bar which was fine.
Had drinks and a delious pizza!! Great value. Service there was excellent and friendly.
Very popular as just moved to this Norboro location from Grafton.
Great environment, highly recommend!!
Not ready for prime time. They are still working the kinks out at the new place in Northborough. Completely ruined my daughter’s birthday dinner.
Since they moved to the new location, the food has remained just as delicious, but the service is slow, the new location looks nice but lacks the warm and cozy ambiance it had in the old location.
We had a reservation, were seated immediately. We waited 10 minutes before I went to the Hostess and let her know no one had come by. They sent a waitress who was lovely, she was not told we were her table. We ordered pizza and a salad. The Ceaser salad was drenched in dressing. The Margherita pizza was terrible. The pizza had a thick outer crust that appeared to be cooked well but the remaining pizza slice was undercooked and so thin that you could not separate the slices. It just broke apart. The sauce was sugary sweet. We were so disappointed. Loved the idea of the brick oven as described on their site as "The pizza is baked in a brick oven and the high temperature produces a thin crust that is the perfect combination of slightly chewy, crispy light, and airy. " it was not cooked at all. Sad to say, will not go back
We always loved Anzio’s pizza when they were in Grafton. Now it’s a little bigger and still is great. Music was a little loud for having a conversation.
Great new location!
Best Pizza around the boroughs! Thank you for the wonderful pizza and ambiance!
Showed up on 10/11/19 AFTER making a confirmed reservation through OpenTable to find the place closed and a sign indicating they are moving to Northborough. Why would you take a reservation if you are closed??? Drove to Grafton for nothing. Not sure if we will try the new location.
Small and cozy location. Does get pretty loud that you can't hear the conversation in front of you. Had a reservation for 6:30 but didn't get seated until 7pm. By the looks of the crowd and amount of people waiting, you know this place is good. Pizza is absolutely amazing. Also have tried the meatballs, steak and cheese sandwich (huge). If you don't want to wait a long time, ordering to go is highly suggested and many folks do just that. Small bar, good beer and wine selection. Definitely will be returning!
Do TAKE OUT ONLY. The pizza is your best bet. This is NOT the type of restaurant to have a sit down meal. The night we went we couldn’t even have a conversation because the party of 16 was so loud, rude and obnoxious. It’s too small of a place to be able to guarantee someone right next to you won’t ruin your evening.
This isn't my first time eating at Anzio's but like my previous experiences everything was between very good and outstanding. My wife and I brought friends for their first visit...I know we will be back and I wouldn't be surprised if my friends become regulars as well.
Service was quick. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.
The pizza was delicious! True Italian pizza. Nice, fresh topping options. Will definitely return!
Anzio’s has become our “go to” restaurant. The food is excellent and always reliable. The service is fantastic. The wait staff is always so pleasant, helpful and efficient.
We had a large combo Sienna and Roasted Veggie brickoven pizza and it was delicious--possibly the best pizza I've had in years. The draft IPA recommended by the owner was fresh and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning.
Xavier was friendly, attentive, well- informed and available when we had needs. We were a group carboing down for the marathon from all over the country. People recommended you, and we were not disappointed. Even the next morning breakfast pizza was great. Thanks for a great experience.
I got the new dish shrimp primavera. It was excellent and had many large sized shrimp.
Best crust around, the wine and cheese shop in the same building is also great to shop for speciality items
All good. We love the pizza. It gets crowded with people coming for take-out. Next time, I’ll ask to sit on the other aide of the restaurant.
The crux of the problem was that no one from the restaurant checked the OpenTAble app, so when we got there we did not have a reservation for 7pm that night. This was despite my making the reservation through your app at 625AM. Some accomodation was made, but no real apology and a weak explanation that the person that checks OpenTable did not work that day. Please don't print this. The food was very good and the service after the snafu was acceptable.
Anzio’s serves great pizza and a good gathering spot. The pizza isn’t your typical greasy pizza, it’s more like gourmet pizza.
