Aperitif Bistro - Bayside
Diced Filet Mignon
With Mushroom and Cheese
I wish I knew the name of our server but he is impeccable. He is half of the reason why I come to this place the other half is the phenomenal food. You seriously can’t go wrong there’s something for everybody even the kids
My family and I ventured from Manhattan to Queens for brunch for a change of pace. We were happy that we chose Aperitif Bistro. The food was very good and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Will recommend it to friends and family.
Love our waiter
We have been there several times always have him
We call him the good waiter
Great food. Lovely servers , sangria did the trick
Apertif has great food and amazing ambiance! Must try!
Food 5/5 stars. Drinks 3.5/5 stars. Would go back again!
Amazing food and service
I had gone to their sister restaurant sage in Woodbury which was AMAZING! I was very excited to see there was another one in queens. I ordered the octopus, and escargot which was very good! But then I ordered the lamb chops medium and they came out over cooked, the spinach was also not very good. I sent the lamb back, the waiter brought it back out and now they were rare. He again brought them back and recooked it. It came back better but not as good as the ones at sage.
Good food. Outstanding service. Very enjoyable meal. Would certainly go back.
I love Aperitif. I moved to Long Island, so I hadn't been here in 2.5 years. WOW was my experience different this time. My husband got the wrong appetizer and the wrong meal. He told the waitress both times and after having to wait for a new appetizer he didn't want to wait for his dinner and mine to get cold so he agreed to eat it. Nothing was taken off our bill even though the waitress told us she would. I mean other than apology from the waitress for two total mess ups, nothing was done. I mean we had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Apertif. I don't think I'll be making the trip back to bayside for Aperitif again anytime soon.
FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. Ambiance was romantic. Since it was Valentines Day service was a bit slower but understandable due to demand. I would highly recommend it to my friends.
Very soso.. waiter wasn’t too attentive and looked distracted.
This used to be one of our faves in Bayside. I dont know what happened but it’s not the same.
Excellent dinner with friends. There was a special menu but they made me a separate dish. Was very happy and everyone enjoyed themselves. Totally recommend.
Highly recommended, you will enjoy the food anf all, can't go wrong!
Really great all around. Wonderful food, service, atmosphere, etc. Two thumbs up!
Food = very good
Prices = reasonable
Ambiance = quaint, romantic
Service = attentive, NOT instrusive/pushy
Staff = friendly, nice
It's a fun restaurant with pleasant atmosphere and yummy food. The noise level was quite high but then many restaurants are like that.
Attentive staff and great food! Great venue for events.
Loved food and excellent service by staff.
Nick our server was great — so polite and helpful
Food was great as usual
Very nice venue with good valet parking!!! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. We had to go to the city so we plan an earlier dinner. We got there 5:45 and we left 9:15. Dinner were for two adults. 3:30 min to be served a bottle of wine, 3 small appetizers, two classic entries and. Desserts we had to ask to be packed to travel. Most of the tables around us came in after and left before us.
I had to get other servers to mlook for the one that was nos attending. I thought it quodecocions odd once there were enough staff and our server were chatting with my friend about politics. Our get together with other friends were postponed after we noticed how long it.took
As usual, the drinks, food, and service were top notch. We had the specialty drinks, Aperitif salad, sole, and the French onion sandwich. All were outstanding, as was the service.
This is the second time I've been to your Bayside establishment, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We both had the Croque Canard, and it was delicious! I just hope NYC fixes the parking meter situation so that people can use credit cards. Fortunately I had filled my pockets with quarters.
They helped me with my proposal to my girlfriend n it was lovely
Definitely a place you can skip past. I mean ... It's not the worst, but not the best, with extremely, EXTREMELY disappointing service. Apparently, our server couldn't be bothered to attend to us, ask us how our meal was or even make small chat.
We basically saw him three times. Once when he finally decided to come over and take our order. Once when he was joyfully chatting with table behind us as he opened their bottle of wine and was more than friendly. And third, when we flagged him down to get the check.
But I suppose his letting us sit there for 10-15 minutes before biking over -- when the place was considerably empty-- should have been our clue.
And that it was New Year's Eve only made this worse, because the last thing we wanted on our date night on NYE was a grumpy, disinterested, completely non-attending and rather dismissive server. The back waiters and bussers were awesome, as was the young lady at the front. Sadly, they couldn't be the ones getting the tip, and sadly they weren't the ones to dampen our night.
No, they weren't busy. In fact, it was rather empty when we arrived for our reservation at 6:30 p.m. (Maybe the clue also should have been that this was one of only a few restaurants that still had reservations at 5 p.m. on NYE for almost every slot on
The food was okay. We started with the escargot and a half a dozen oysters. I would have jumped it to a dozen oysters and added a cheese plate, but the waiter was nowhere to be found, despite two requests asking for him. So we nixed that.
I had the seared tuna. Not bad. Not the best. Not the worst. The soy ginger sauce was the winner.
My husband loves Coq au Vin. Again, not the worst, not the best.
We opted to skip dessert because it just wasn't a place we wanted to be for longer than we had to at that point.
This was the 3rd time I’ve eaten here in the past year . Each time was better than the time before -
The small bites are A-Mazing - Loved the calamari (soooo fresh) the mussels ( not a shell without one!) the scallops (yum!)
The dinner menu is filled with something for everyone !
Can’t wait to go back
Aperitif is a wonderful restaurant. I'm so happy it's in my neighborhood. The food is always delicious and prepared perfectly. The bread and butter served before the meal is always a treat to accompany a nice glass of wine. My favorite is the hazelnut crusted salmon with parsnip potatoes and sauteed spinach, but my husband loves the baby lamb chops. The waiter service is always as one would like. The decor is very inviting and comfortable. A great place to go to for any occasion.
Food was below par and the noise level was off the charts,due to a birthday party. Would not return.
The food was spectacular. Grilled calamari salad and perfectly cooked filet mignon bursting with flavor. Delicious soups and fish enjoyed greatly by my dining partners. Cozy atmosphere; friendly and professional service. Highly recommended.
Excellent food with excellent service. We had grilled calamari salad and baby lamb chops as 1st course. Calamari was soft and well balanced seasons. My 10-year-old was amazed with the taste when he had his first bite. Baby lamb chops were also loved by all of us. French onion soup sandwich was one of our favorites. Orange duck was tender and juicy; this is also our favorite. We are looking forward to our next visit to Aperitif Bistro.
My friend and I were first to arrive. The staff was fantastic and were there as needed, always friendly, always precise. They do an excellent job. The food was delicious and filling, I took the rest home. I would definitely recommend Aperitif to friends and co-workers. I will, of course, return for another meal.
I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Aperitif. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the service is excellent and the food was delicious. The champagne was wonderful as well. It is exactly what you would expect from a lovely french restaurant.
We were the first ones here at lunchtime and we all got delicious food and great service: mussels, all the drinks, delicious sandwiches and salads. This place is a GEM and we are so lucky to have it in Bayside
This restaurant never fails in my opinion! The food is delicious and simple, the Service is spot on and fun, and the Brunch cocktails are never ending :) Parking can be a bit inconvenient but the place is well worth it!
Jamal, our waiter, was wonderful and attentive as always. Bloody Mary, lobster roll, profiterole and cappuccino were all terrific.
It was my mother’s birthday and our waiter was so nice to help provide us candles for the cake! He was very understanding that 1 dish was not up to par so we returned it with no questions asked. Great customer service!
So glad we picked this place for our first wedding anniversary! My husband and I (and the baby in my womb) enjoyed the food and service! Will definitely be back.
For our anniversary, we decided to go to our local French restaurant, Aperitif Bistro. There were few tables of people at 6:30, so we were seated and looked after immediately. The onion soup is the best we can remember, and the mussels provencale were small and tasty, just the was we like them. The soup it came in was perfect. We shared the lamb chops, which was a good idea. The restaurant treated us to dessert and coffee. Of course we're going back. You should go.
This was my second time dining at Aperitif Bistro - Bayside and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent as was the food. It had a nice, quiet ambiance. Our waiter was very attentive. The coke machine was not functioning well and someone was sent out to buy a coke for my husband. Now that is what I call service. They even have my favorite wine at a decent prince which is rare. I will definitely be returning.
