What a happy place this is. The food is delicious, lovely staff and lots of buzz! We shall be back often!
Very very good restaurant, exceptional food and service 👍
Try to be rustic Italian food , but lack flavour. Decoration is charming, service attentive. Good if you’re hungry and want something simple
Excellent venue and service
We booked a table for a pre-show dinner. We arrived ahead of our reservation time and the staff made every effort to accommodate us. Lively atmosphere and a good choice of Italian dishes on the menu. Service was prompt and the food very good. Enjoyed the occasion and will certainly return.
Food was good but pretty over priced and small portions. Nothing out of the ordinary, and service was quite stretched but service charge mandatory for a table for 2. Nice place but nothing special!
Lovely freshly-prepared food. Particularly enjoyed the onion focaccia and home-made ravioli with garlic and herb sauce. Good options for vegetarians. Delicious pudding of chocolate and nut mousse. Decent regional wines. Just between Barts and Smithfield. Good location. Attentive and thoughtful service. Comfortable and informal.
Informal, genuine Italian. Lovely pasta and amazing pizza with a variety of specials and a lunch menu
Always really great food and atmosphere, and great value!
Attentive service, delicious food and engaging interesting maitre de
Greeted fair nicely by a man at the front. Shown to our table. Chairs felt cheap. Sat down and offered water each. We accepted. Then a lady came over to but didn’t look too happy. Gave us a low down on what they had. Ordered the special of lobster spaghetti. Came out as a whole lobster with some spaghetti dropped on top. There was more shell than fish on the lobster. Spaghetti was far too salty. My girlfriend has a spaghetti dish which was too salty as well.
Asked for the bill to find that the water was charged at £4 plus a mandatory tip of £6.50. Total bill of £58. Paid and walked away. Would never return. Had better meals at McDonald’s and better value for money.
Overall the restaurant is a nice place but the owners seem like they’ve lost faith in the place. Personally think it’s time for a new chef too.
This authentic PUGLIESE restaurant is really a good discovery!
They also have a very good variety of South Italian Wine.
I would recommend the Pasta, Orecchiette are amazing.
A great dining experience. The food was outstanding. Cozy place & attentive staff.
One of my favourite spots pre-COVID and super glad they are still around and everything is as kind and delicious as always.
No ambiance at all, chairs uncomfortable, sticky tile tables. Not a little flower or candle to be seen any where. No soft music in the background. Gentleman on front desk, not welcoming at all. Very disappointing experience. We had a delightful waiter though who was smiling and very pleasant.
Authentic Italian eatery - had a great pre theatre dinner. Close to Barbican centre only a 10 minute walk. Great choice of wine and food. Food was very fresh and tasty and good value for money. Staff were very friendly and we were seated and served quickly. I would definitely go back there again.
We enjoyed our evening. Thankfully able to sit outside on a nice evening. Food and service excellent. Staff were attentive despite being outside.
One of my favourite places - authentic Pugliese cuisine and wine, lovely staff, always a great experience
Very friendly wait staff, with great food. Pizzas were authentic thin and crispy with great flavours in every dish. Not an extensive menu but plenty of well thought out and tasty dishes. Nice little Italian restaurant in the heart of London
A traditional family-owned Italian opposite Smithfield meat market, we wanted an informal but local restaurant close to where we were staying. I booked through OpenTable and had various confirm action messages, including a phone call from the restaurant.... not surprising as I had booked a table for 8 people on a Friday evening.
Very good food and wine at sensible prices, and excellent service from the staff, who made our two youngest guests (aged 6 & 9) very welcome. Highly recommended!
Excellent food and the recommended wine was superb..
Lovely stuffed courgette flowers and tagliatelle with wild boar ragu following by pistachio semi freddo. Rose wine recommended by the host was lovely too!
The best pizza in London!! And such a lovely staff. I will definitely be back
Always friendly and reliable
Lovely, tasty food. Nice staff and a good ambiance.
Personally I’m not keen on the policy of automatically adding on a “discretionary” service charge, although this seems to be becoming more common generally.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this fine Italian Restaurant.
The food and service was great at Apulia. We had to change our appointment last minute and the staff was really quick and helpful. We'll definitely come back again!
Delicious food, good wine, good service - a very enjoyable evening.
Lovey meal here, had a delicious burrata started and lobster pasta special. Was not prepared for a half lobster to top and tail, especially at a business meal, and my inexperience in doing so! But that didn’t detract from its deliciousness. Had Zeppole for dessert, colleague had tiramisu and which looked lovely! Will definitely use again for business meals.
Fantastic food and service. One of the best Italian meals we have had outside of Italy.
Very good food at a reasonable price.
Small selection of well executed dishes- we had smoked Scamorza wrapped in melanzane baked with tomatoes- delicious and not something you will find in many Italian restaurants.
Very tasty baked fish with vegetables for a main, and extraordinary pistachio semi freddo for desert.
The children throughly enjoyed an excellent margarita pizza.
Prices absolutely reasonable for this central location.
Convivial atmosphere , peaceful but with a gentle buzz of other diners. Just right!
Highly recommend and will definitely be happy to return.
Our second time at Apulia and again it did not disappoint - a real hidden gem in the city. Handmade pasta cooked al dente, delicious wines and friendly service. We'll be back again!
Everything about Apulia is perfect. The food is AMAZING. If you like Pizza, fresh pasta dishes, or amazing fish then you have to go here. Solid wine list. Deserts that are worth the calories. Great place for the kids in the afternoon. Evenings for adults. And the staff are lovely.
Great food, lovely service
The waiting staff was very nice, however the pizza were not great. They were served only 5 minutes after we ordered, which looked a bit suspicious. While the ingredients on top of the pizza were alright, the actual dough/base was not. Not sure if it was made from frozen but the texture was off (it felt like a puff pastry) and which made the pizza not great overall. I don't think I would go back.
Was good, small portions but tasty!
Came here last weekend to meet friends. It was a bit strange to begin with as the outdoor seating was uncovered and directly across the road from two large trucks with their engines running all evening. The service was friendly but not great (a few things we ordered never arrived) and while the pizza we ordered was tasty the pasta was overdone and really didn’t taste good. Most of the menu we had read online wasn’t available on the night and generally the experience was a bit disappointing.
Lovely food and service! Ideal for a quick dinner, wouldn't recommend for a fancy dinner until inside seating is available.
Had a Covid catch up so outside table. Not too noisy from the road as it was Sunday.
Pizzas were the larger size than usual but just as tasty; staff did an excellent job in the situation. Will be back when we can dine inside!
Apulia was great and the service and food were lovely! The menu isn’t the same one as online though. And the outside tables are on the road, not covered at all so not the most idea location but still great food
Very nice place and great food. Unfortunately the menu in open table does not match the one they have at the restaurant. I would nevertheless recommend!
