Our dinner was delicious and enjoyable, selections presented as described on the menu. Our server, Matt, was especially pleasant and professional. The only negative had nothing to do with Argyle but with the man i a two-top near our table, whose voice was incredibly loud and who was using one of those high-powered tactical type flashlights to review his menu, completely unaware and insensitive to the fact that it was shining directly across into our eyes. I can understand his needing more light, but what he also needed was some consideration of those affected by his behavior.
Otherwise a lovely evening at Argyle.
This is a great steak house. The steaks are really tasty and prepared very well. The staff were very gracious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Good but not excellent food. Excellent service. Good atmosphere. Carpet and tables and chairs are dirty and old need replacement.
Should extend buffet concept and open to non-holidays weekends as well.
My parents 60th anniversary and the Argyle did not disappoint! My patents both said it was the best service they ca remember. The food was fantastic. Yes, it is a la carte and smaller portions but to us it was the perfect special occasion dinner. Thank you Argyle!
Food was hot upon serving and service was perfect
Outstanding service and food! Thank you.
I have never been to the Argile steak house before! It was a special night, I proposed to my Fiance earlier in the day. I chose the Argyle steak house because it was close by to the Aviara Hotel. Transportation picked us up and drop off to the Argyle restaurant and was spot on! The ambiance of the restaurant was great! We get there and we ordered. I must say that our waiter was was great, very attentive. We did sit with empty water glasses longer then I wanted too. He brought us, free none alcoholic drinks since we don't drink and told him we just got engaged. The drinks were very good! We ordered a steak and a lobster dish. I was very disappointed with the lobster. It was half of a tiny lobster tail the smallest tail, cut in half longways, served on a tiny skillet. I didn't know they came this small. Garnished with way to many vegetables on top to hide the size of the lobster. I mentioned to the waiter, I literally had two small bites of lobster, not enough for both of us to share and tasteless. I did speak up to the waiter and he brought us an additional lobster. The overall experience was good.
One of my favorite restaurants for lunch. Love sitting on the patio. The view is wonderful.
An undiscovered gem located at the Aviara Golf Club. Excellent steakhouse with excellent service. We frequent on every trip to the San Diego area and its always excellent.
Top quality steaks worth every penny of the price.
It was a lovely Sunday evening experience. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and KUDOS to John (our waiter) for his attention to detail. The food was everything we'd hoped for and more — creatively prepared and presented. The wine matched the fare to a tee. We look forward to a return visit.
Portions small for price
Such a wonderful experience! The customer service is abound and beyond! The food is so flavorful and exceeds expectations. We will be back. Waiting for the next excuse to come back! If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion I highly recommend.
We were celebrating a birthday and they did everything in their power to make it a special experience.
Lunch on the outdoor balcony was perfect in every way! The view, the service, the food, the privacy--all perfect.
Our favorite steakhouse when we visit san diego county. We usually stay at the Omni La Costa but this is very close. The wine by the glass is always great, they usually have some top tier (silver oak) . The only problem was one of the steaks was overdone and it took 15 minutes to correct so everyone else was done eating.
It was a wonderful meal that we got share on the patio. Service was amazing and the food was extraordinary. It was a lovely experience and we look forward to returning to the restaurant.
Beautiful backdrop with the Lagoon in background and golf course. We sat outside and with the heaters it was very pleasant. Service as awesome, we had our anniversary dinner there and were surprised with a glass of Prosecco to celebrate. John was our waiter, very attentive and we had another gal who refilled our water/provided table service who was from Romania. Can't recall her name but she was friendly and attentive as well. Thanks for making our anniversary so special.
Servers were very attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and portion sizes were just right, and the ambiance was perfect for date night.
Delicious and fantastic. Will definitely come back again.
Beautiful quiet location for a lovely lunch. Soup, salad, and sandwich were all excellent. Service was impeccable.
My second visit to Argyle’s was every bit as enjoyable as the first. The friendly, professional service, outstanding ambiance and food, make this restaurant a great experience.
We were three couples who decided to give Argyle another try for Restaurant Week due to a bad experience in the past. The service was good all night long. The wedge salads were just okay with very little, if any, dressing on them. The steaks were okay as well with two out of four being cooked incorrectly and everyone's potato tots were overcooked and barely edible. Four out of the six were sick during the night, apparently from the dinner we had at Argyle. Everyone who got sick had the wedge salad and the other two had the spinach salad which they said was delicious. The prices of cocktails and wine by the glass are exorbitant and the corkage fee is also very high. There are definitely better steakhouses that we prefer (Bob's at the Omni La Costa Resort is fabulous!) and we will probably continue to go there instead of the Argyle as the food is definitely better and you get more for your money there,
The food was awful. I have eaten here atlases 25 times or more and always liked it. My fish taco and beans was either a bad choice for me or just plain not tasty. Corn tortillas were soggy and I left them and tried to eat jut the fish out. My friend had a very dried out chick cobb salad and left 3/4 of it . The peach tribe was a joke but the betrries on the dish were delicious. beautiful place, good service but awful food this time.
No better place to relax and unwind!
Date with wife went very well.
Awesome staff. Great food. Beautiful setting
Best. Meal. Ever!
Went to Argyle to enjoy a birthday dinner. We we’re given the option to sit inside or outside, which was nice. We decided to sit outside and enjoyed the beautiful views. Everything was really good. Enjoyed my Cesar Salad with their delicious homemade bread/puff pastry. Still not sure what it was, but it was amazing. My husbands Bone in Ribeye was cooked perfect and very favorable and my Filet Mignon was a little over cooked, but was still tasty. Sides were good and big enough to share. Dessert was gives to us since it was my husbands birthday, so that was really nice of them. Overall nice and quiet evening. Restaurant wasn’t super busy which allowed us to enjoy the moment even more.
This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The food was magnificent and the staff was awesome. The whole experience was amazing. Our server Matt was the best. We will be going back again very soon.
We had an amazing evening dining out on the patio deck overlooking the 18th green. The service, food and drink well exceeded our expectations!
I always feel as if I'm on vacation when I come for lunch. It's my go to place especially when
we have out of town guests.
Awesome experience! Loved this place. We sat outside and saw the sunset in the golf course. Food was sooo delicious starting with the popover on to entrees. I highly recommend the heirloom salad. For dinner- We had the Wagyu beef,
Mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. We got to even select our steak knife of choice which made for a fun experience. The steaks were both flavorful. I had the filet and my husband had the ribeye. We went with the Argyle Steak rub. We finished with the s’mores dessert. OMG! The best finish ever. Loved this place and will be back. 5 stars!
This was a birthday day celebration for my wife. We wanted a quiet upscale venue where we could just enjoy ourselves with great food and good conversation. Argyle fit perfectly. Our waiter Jesse was so attentive and did everything to make my wife feel special. The food is wonderful, from the warm spinach salad to the spectacular complimentary desert. We always love this gem on the lagoon.
It was great as usual. My favorite place to eat in North San Diego. The best steaks you can get.
This is the best hidden gem in Carlsbad. Outstanding food, amazing service and beautiful views. It’s quiet, not a scene, so best for an intimate dinner or occasion. And the dining room inside could use a redesign but the outdoor patio is lovely.
The servers were excellent BUT it took way too long to get our food. It took three inquiries before we got it. We were compensated with a complementary second round of wine and did enjoy spending time with our friends whom we took there because it was their anniversary, but still I didn’t enjoy having to apologize more than once for the undue delay.
always great food. never disappoints. yesterday service was not great. waitress did not come back to check. restaurant almost empty. we love argyle and usually have xlnt service there.
