Great food and good service. We really enjoyed our evening there.

A wonderful luncheon experience in an old favorite.

Food, service and atmosphere was excellent.

We dine at Arriva about twice a year fir special occasions, never a disappointment!! Staff are great, food excellent... and they don’t rush us out the door. COVID brought some challenges they appear to have balanced well.

This dining experience tonight definitely would've earned Arriva a full 5 stars. Covid guidelines and protocols were well followed. The servers were attentive. Quality and taste of food were excellent. Special mention goes to the 2 appys that we had...super fresh and delicious clam in white wine and tomato, as well as the grilled calamari with arugula. Mains were superb as well.

However, our otherwise wonderful dining out experience tonight was tarnished, came time to settle up the bill. Being a regular dine out patron using the Opentable reservation platform, we accumulates enough to redeem dining rewards cheques from Opentable which can then be used at face value towards the bill when booked through Opentable. We had no issues whatsoever in the past cashing out this type of dining cheqs. But imagine our absolute disappointment when we presented ours with our credit card but the cheq was not accepted.The restaurant has no reason not to since they participates in the Opentable reservation platform. I made a bit of a stink and the server had no choice but to make a call to their owner. After some back and forth, he relented. Question is: WHY?? Why did you have to dampen your customers dining experience by refusing an otherwise 100% legit cheq?? Ownership is simply lazy and lame in not wanting to put thru any dining cheq to the bank or thru Opentable for cashing.
In these difficult times, to have customers step in to support you by coming in to spend money at your restaurant is priceless. But you chose to screw that up by dampening our dining experience. Would've been a 5 star otherwise.

Lovely space. Quiet. Clean... distancing and hygiene rules observed. Food: basic tasty Italian, a family favourite.

Amazing food, but not huge portions .

As usual the food and service were fabulous. This is a charming family style Italian restaurant that is great for casual lunches with friends or special occasions.

The selection on the Dine Out menu was excellent as there were several appetizers options (at least 4) and 3 or 4 entrees. Everyone in our group was very happy with their meal.

Staff is accommodating, nice relaxed atmosphere, food rather mediocre, tiramisu was light and good.

Hadn't visited this restaurant in a long time and was not disappointed. Will return when we can. Excellent value and menu was "just enough choices" Service was was friendly and informative and part of the enjoyment of the evening.

Once seated, did not see a server for the next 20-25 minutes with greeting or drink orders.

Food was fine. Ossobucco that should be prepared ahead of time was slow coming out was not even temperature hot.

This was our first visit during Dine-Out Vancouver and we will definitely return. The location was great, had parking underneath and wasn't too loud or busy when we arrived. The service was outstanding. Attentive but not rushed. The meals were reasonably priced and absolutely mouth watering. I had the lamb as part of the dine-out menu and it was fantastic. Only surprise was that to get the dine-out package everyone at the table had to order from the dine-out menu. We hadn't experienced at other restaurants offering dine-out so this was a little disappointing to my partner who'd hoped to order something from the regular menu. Other than that, the venue was wonderful, relaxed and Commercial Drive old-school Vancouver chic. Loved it.

Staff were so friendly and very competent. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was really good. No complaints. I had veal piccata which was amazing and my husband had veal with mushrooms. Yummy. We will definitely be back xo

A wonderful place to spend time catching up with friends. The service was very friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated their patience in not kicking us out even though we were there, by ourselves, until closing hour. The food was tremendous and affordable. We would go back again, and recommend to others

Arrived for an early lunch and they were still setting up but they worked quickly to provide service.

Food was great and portions plentiful for us.

Arriva is a wonderful place for lunch and dinner. the food and service is the best. Always enjoy eating there and have been a patron for over 30 years.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated and is 'not too'... quiet, bright, dark, expensive... and it is an enjoyable place to bring a date.

Arriva is one of our favourite eating spots on the Drive. The menu is extensive, with something to appeal to everyone. The food is consistently flavourful and well presented, while the service is good. There is no pressure to leave when guests are finished eating.

I used to love this restaurant. What happened? It was a big disappointment! $4 a regular cup of coffee with NO refill. I ordered Clam linguine ($18) - there were a lot of empty clam shells but I counted only 5 to 6 pieces of clam meat. Where did the clam meats go? My husband orders the Mixed Grilled ($28.95) and got one tiny sausage, one tiny piece of lamb chop, and a small chicken breast... and food was blend. Not worth $29 at all. The service was very slow. I have asked for hot water and lemon - 5 times - and I did not get it.

Not going back ever again!

Loud, bright lights, service was good, food was good but didnt wow me, value didnt match taste or experience.

Had a great time! Very intimate setting. Spectacular food!

Can get a little noisy and busy: but these are expected of any great restaurant.

Recommend the beef carpaccio and tiramisu.

Food was average and restaurant was so noisy that our family couldn’t hear each other. We skipped coffee/dessert and left.

Delicious food. Very nice and experienced waiter. Nice and quiet so we could have an actual conversation. We hadn't been to Arriva for about 30 years until about three weeks ago. This is our second current visit!

Always great food. This was a family lunch, and everyone enjoyed it. My Italian Father wants to go back for the food.

We had a very nice dinner with two of our grandchildren. Server was accommodating for special requests though entrees were slow to come. We were not in a hurry so it wasn’t a problem but an hour is a long wait. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere is great- homey, friendly, warm. A Vancouver tradition for 35 years.

Excellent authentic Italian cuisine and friendly service just like your Mama used to make it.
Knowledgeable and likable wait staff. A non-rushed atmosphere.
Whilst this restaurant embraces traditional Italian fare, it does so well.
We had a eggplant starter, a gnochetti dish and penne with spicy octopus followed by a creamy Tiramisu.

The house Chianti is recommended - it is surprisingly full bodied with some Oak side notes.
Well done.
We will be back for more.
