Amazing food and portion sizes were huge but the staff did advise not to order too much was really nice of them to say. The staff were really friendly and would come over to ask if we need anything. This was our first time and we would definitely come back for a visit!

The table around us was quite noisy so it did affect the ambiance

The food was not to standard. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the starter and then 45 mins for the main course.

The food was excellent as was the service. I would definitely recommend Ashas for an amazing experience.

Never disappointed here, great food, great friendly knowledgeable staff who are always happy to recommend dishes and go through the menu. It’s a shame that the usual buzz of the restaurant has gone a little due to all the covid restrictions but everything else was faultless. A family favourite, we will continue to dine here whilst the food and service is so good, knowing that the usual buzz of the place will pick up as restrictions lift.

the sunday lunch is a mega bargain, the food is amazing, small sharer starter then a mega main to share, we had the lamb and it’s amazing, best yorkshire pud i’ve ever had in a restaurant. so good going again next sunday
a fantastic twist on a sunday dinner

Lovely staff just a shame it wasn’t what we anticipated.
It was cold inside the restaurant which made it uncomfortable to eat in comfort and enjoy.
Cocktail looked lovely just tasted awful.
Unfortunately we wouldn’t return.
Food wasn’t as what we thought it would be from other reviews.

Very nice Indian food in Nice ambience

I have been to Ashas quite a few times before and have always thoroughly enjoyed it every time. However this time was different. We were met with hostility from staff members as soon as we entered. When asked if we were from one house hold we informed the staff member we were from one university accommodation and live together, he rudely told us that if anyone comes and catches us it would be our fault not his and repeated this several times even though we had told him from the start that we live together as we were university students. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time and felt like we weren’t welcome. Personally the food I ordered was amazing as usual however one of my friends did not like a curry they ordered and did not even touch it, I told the staff member she did not like it as it tasted too much of tomato which I also found it did upon tasting it. He replied with an “oh” and proceeded to still charge us for it even though it had not been touched. It’s a shame as before this everytime I have been to Ashas I couldn’t fault it and have always recommended friends and family. There was only one staff member that actually took the time to speak to us, unfortunately I forgot his name. All in all it wasn’t a great experience.

Difficult because of COVID restrictions but they really tied their best

Starters were good. Mains were disappointing. Curry was very 90s like - bland and sweet and not authentic taste, very 'anglicized'. The UK's palate has changed now. Every curry tasted the same. The dessert portion was abysmally small, although they tasted nice. The drinks had 70% ice to bulk up the volume which was disappointing. For the sort of money we paid we were disappointed by portion sizes and mediocre taste. It cost us £35/head without any alcoholic drinks, which is bad value considering all the above. Ambience was pretty dead though the decor is very ostentatious in a good way. Service was good though. They did bring a cake slice out to our table due to special occasion which was a lovely touch. But considering all of above.. first and last visit I'm afraid.

With Asha brand we were looking forward to her music and tunes as a usp in her restaurant

Booked Asha”s to celebrate a special birthday. Having been seated we had to ask a waiter to order drinks and again had to ask for a food menu. Service therefore poor. Ordered a sharing platter which was extremely salty. Main course pretty average to be honest and didn’t warrant the price. Had high expectations but disappointed throughout. On a good note, cocktails were delightful.

We had a brilliant meal, and were waited upon excellently. I can’t praise the staff highly enough, and the food was out of this world.

I would highly recommend the restaurant, and we will be booking again next time we are in Manchester.

As a first experience in Indian cuisine, I can tell that it was very satisfying. Everything I ate was delicious.

The butter chicken was absolutely amazing! The cocktails were a gem also! Ideal location for a cute and romantic dinner For two. Minna our waitress was a gem! Didn’t realise my drink contained ginger and she kindly swapped it for me.

An AMAZING restaurant, lovely staff and the food is to die for

Ashas was a last minute booking and looking for a last minute dinner reservation during covid restrictions and a 10pm curfew was very difficult. However, Ashas were able to accommodate 2 at short notice and also have us an amazing table and were patient with us eventhough the kitchen was closing. The food itself was absolutely amazing, my partner feels it's the best Indian food he has had, I woudlnt disagree. The portions were great and we still had some food left the next day that we had taken away. The staff were really friendly and clearly well educated on the menu and were able yo help with suggestions.

It was our first time in Manchester and it's so tragic that there isn't an Ashas in London but I would 100% recommend it for anyone with access to it.

Best Indian ive ever been absolutely delicious and superb quality food

The food was as delicious as it had always been. Unfortunately on this occasion, a swap which has been made before wasnt accommodated for. For a restaurant of this calibre and knowing the swap was no problem on numerous previous occasions slightly spoilt the evening for us. The waiter came back in a matter of a a few minutes informing us that no changes could be made, it seemed very unlikely to have received a response from the kitchen in that time. A really shame.

The lamb was quite tough
The sauce was not as described it should have been brown onion sauce
It was red unfortunately not worth the price I paid £18

Beautiful meal, helpful staff , just the noise level let it down ....a rowdy table of 4 and a large family gathering . Wouldn't stop us going again.
