Aspens Signature Steak
While our steaks were cooked perfectly and very tender, the overall presentation was lacking. We both ordered the mashed potatoes and they were just warm. I ordered the Medallions, Oscar style. The crab meat was mixed with the Bearnaise sauce and no sign of asparagus. These were served separated with the potatoes plopped in the middle. My husband ordered the filet and it was served on a very large plate with the potatoes served separately. I also ordered the French Onion soup, this was very weak and watery. A real disappointment.
Every meal at Aspen's is one of the best we've ever had! Service was exceptional.
The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Worst meal I have had at any restaurant in a long time. Brought our entree out before the appetizer. Took them back, waitress forgot to enter app. Brought app, then our entrees—same entrees as before. My wife’s was cold, mine was barely warm. I could not cut my prime rib with the huge knife they gave me. Toughest excuse for prime rib I have ever seen. My wife did not want me to ask for manager—he NEVER came by our table. Poor management. We gave up, paid the check, took the bottle of wine we had bought and went home Wouldn’t go back here for a free whole cow, and would not recommend to anyone.
I would rate a zero if it were an option.
Consistently good food and service. Our server, “Lauren” was terrific. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, but not overly so. One of our favorite restaurants!
Aspens has been my go to in East Cobb for 15 years when looking for an upscale steak; without going to Roswell or fighting traffic to Buckhead or downtown. This last experience left me wanting. Food quality seemed more on par with Longhorn, not StoneyRiver. French onion soup had no cheese topping. Oscar topping for steak was more along the lines of a stuffing not lump crab topping. Our waiter said they were between chefs. I hope they get a good one and fast. At $100/head, they won’t survive long with the product they are putting out. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but 2or 3X’s Longhorn good. If they are going to charge - StoneyRiver, Little Alley, Ruth’s Chris........money, the product needs to be on par.
Best Crab Appetizer I've ever had. The Filet Oscar was outstanding. One of my wife and I places to go.
Sunday brunch in the past has been good, but dinner this past weekend was awful.
First, made reservations weeks ago but was seated next to the bar. I had my back to the bar and honestly thought a man rambling loudly above the din about his big screen TV and how much he DIDN'T like the Ribeye there was drunk and about to be escorted out...that is, until my wife told me it was the BARTENDER!
Next--service. Our waiter was a nice guy who mostly seemed like he cared, but clearly was not up to this. It's not advisable to tell your table multiple times; "Yeah, I should know that, but I haven't been here in a few weeks." That sums up our service. Twice he came over to apologize for the long wait and said the manager would be over to "take care of it." Someone came over all right...not sure if it was the manager because he didn't introduce himself. He apologized for the wait also...but didn't actually do anything about it. After he left, we waited some more. Our check wasn't discounted, so I'm not sure why the manager was sent over.
The food: good, solid, but portions were small. My side of asparagus was 3 thin pieces. Our crab cake appetizer was tasty, but very tiny.
Overall, very disappointing. We liked Aspens enough to rent a private room for my mother-in-law's birthday party, so we're certainly no newbies to the place.
Excellent food and service! Such a pretty place to have dinner with great ambiance. Great wedge salad and sides as well as prime rib.
Always enjoyable dining at Aspens. The service, food and ambiance is great for relaxing and conversing. I rated the food four stars this time since the steak frites was over salted. I order this dish often and probably should have given feedback at the time. We also like that Aspens doesn’t require a set menu on holidays. It’s GF and dairy friendly.
Had a great a Valentines Day dinner. The medallions were very tender and the sauce was delicious. Our server (I believe her name was Thelma), was attentive ( but not overly ) she recommended a Pinot Noir) was outstanding. We have been going to this restaurant since it opened and the food is always good, but that night ir was exceptional.
Great food and great service. Would definitely come back.
I love this restaurant but they didn’t have a good night this go round. Took an hour to get our food and it wasn’t hot and one order was incorrect. They corrected their mistake however and 2 hours later we were finally done with dinner. I’ll go back but they’ll have to do better than this
Great food as always and wonderful service with Michealle
We love to go to Aspen's often. Last night was not the best example of what they're capable of. The trout was crispy and delicious, but I had asked the chef to go easy on the salt, and the spinach was so salty that it was inedible. The restaurant was not full but yet the bar was slow , but that is fairly typical. Otherwise, it was a nice evening.
I live one block from Aspen's and my son always gives us a gift certificate for Christmas; I have never been disappointed with a meal. I tell all my friends about Aspens.
The Restaurant was cozy and warm. The staff was friendly and professional and the food as always was outstanding
Other than the parking our evening was perfect!
Excellent and tasty food. Great service by Randy. Will do this again.
Nice birthday meal for my mother. All good was very lovely. Thanks.
Food was cold and waiter took for ever to come to table to address.
Lovely evening out for our anniversary. Stellar service and overall experience. Consistently good!
My waiter forgot my meal and never checked back on my tabl
Janice was the perfect server, and our meals were absolute perfection. This was a great first experience for a long overdue date night with my spouse.
Sucked a lot
The service was good. We immediately got in and we’re seated per our reservation. The restaurant was nice. Our appetizer wasn’t good. The flavor was fine however the meat was nothing but grizzle and was not edible. The kc strip was completely undercooked and all bone. The food was not worth the money.
Ritchie and June are a credit to this restaurant!
Amazing food and awesome service! This was our first time dining at Aspen’s. We were celebrating our anniversary and we think we are going to make dining at Aspen’s our new anniversary tradition.
We have gone to Aspens for years for family celebrations and have enjoyed the experience thoroughly. However this past weekend our experience was lackluster at best. Food was not hot and prime rib was bland. Fried shrimp was the only really tasty thing of our 5 entrees. So sad that this great restaurant has become bland.
Aspens never disappoints,,, service was great , food was spot on.
Another enjoyable dinner. One comment. I had the salmon. Paring with Brussel sprouts -which I like -was not good flavors fought rather than complemented. Maybe the blackening contributed to an unhappy companionship.
Aspens is friendly atmosphere, with warm glowing ambiance. We went to eat and try a flight of new whiskey recommendations from bartender Richie. He has a wealth of knowledge of the origins of the whiskeys, and the pairings, that several of us were finally able to coordinate our schedules, and enjoyed a nice evening at Aspens. Richie keeps his knowledge current on the bar offerings, and influences the inventory offerings with customer interests.
Early Bird menu is great if you want to save a few bucks and Katy is the best server around.
Fabulous dinner AND atmosphere. I would recommend coming here for dinner.
We celebrated a birthday with nine friends and had a lovely dinner. Great service and food. And the ambiance is great at Aspen’s. It’s such a nice option for an upscale dinner in East Cobb.
Nice ambiance, great service, freezing restaurant.
The quality of the food has fallen tremendously. Some items were undercooked, some were served room temperature, and some were poorly prepared. The creamed spinach was floating in a liquid of milk consistency. The onion rings were doughy and undercooked. The grits were room temperature and lacked any hint of smoked gouda. We were sorry to see the quality suffer at this once-favorite restaurant.
Very welcoming. Sat promptly at reservation time. Server was very attentive. Only concern was dark parking lot! Perhaps lights were out but seemed a definite safety/security concern. Food was excellent.
Great. Overall great
