The food was so delicious and good service.😉 Try the salmon with broccoli.
I loved the service and the food.
Great ambience outdoors and indoors. Great menu with lots of options - steak tips are absolutely delicious! Service was fantastic overall; our server was balancing multiple tables and was still very attentive and friendly, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Boston. Can’t wait to go back!
The food was good, and they were very attentive. The outdoor seating was expanded, which was helpful for distancing
Food was very good and staff was very friendly. Outdoor seating was very cute but a little loud as it is right next to the main road on Boylston. Highly recommend getting the steak tips
Had a fantastic time! The staff, especially Tyler the bartender were excellent. The food and drinks were great! Will definitely be back.
Have always loved this place and the new outdoor seating was great. Separation from the street but still got the ambiance, and the food and drinks were delicious! BB social never disappoints :)
Hostess and waitress were both so nice, food was fast and delicious! Bill added up real fast though, especially the drinks.
1 of the most pleasurable dining experiences we’ve ever had. Of course the food was very good, but it was the exceptional service that made it so memorable. From the moment we arrived Kaitlin made us feel relaxed and comfortable. She spoiled us w/ exceptional service, tending to our every need. Her spirit is infectious. Cannot wait to be waited on by her again....
I really just love this place! Even in quarantine their food was absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. The brunch is out of this world, packed full of flavor and deliciousness.
Awesome service during a challenging morning for the restaurant. We will be back for sure!
Very Loud. Hard to converse without yelling. Food was below average. With so many other dining choices in Boston, I won’t be back.
Great food and great drinks. I'd definitely go back.
Amazing service! We mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and the hostess brought us over a mimosa. So sweet!!
The service was unbearable. We watched our waiter roll silverware for 15 minutes while we were waiting for our check. We asked for multiple waters and drinks and never received them.
Very chill atmosphere, picked as the night went on, it was a friday. Hostess and waitstaff were very lovely. Drinks were great, food for the most part was really good. A bit of a consistency issue with the fish and chips, one piece cooked perfectly, the other piece super gummy and heavy on the breading. Would opt for burger or pizza next time. Also, one of the folks in our party requested the remainder of their meal wrapped and the busser promptly dumped it into a dirty plate, half of a steak dinner, they were disappointed about that. Other than those items, I'd recommend.
Great food. Everyone loved their meals. Best Brussels sprouts ever!
Great atmosphere, menu options, great service.
The house front hostess was the most energetic and fun person ever! She made everyone in our party feel so welcomed and made us laugh.
Drinks were great, food was great
Music was a bit loud but a great time
Based on websites, I thought this place was more a restaurant than a pub. Disappointed my wife for valentines lunch
enjoyed this restaurant very much. My only problem, was the amount of cole slaw that accompanied the fish and chips. Cole slaw should not even be included, if it is consumed entirely w/ 1-2 bites. But the fish was excellent.
This is fair bar food. Good service and rather noisy, even in the corner. We had the burger, good but overpriced, fries, tasty, fired chicken sandwich I would not recommend and fish and chips satisfactory.
Our waitress was the sweetest woman ever. Loved our time spent there.
Service was decent and friendly. Food was just ok. Not bad, but not anything special. The buffalo cauliflower app was really good. The steak dishes were ok. It was too loud to hear each other talk. This was initially just because the music was turned up too loud, not because of other guests.
Food was quite mediocre and very heavy. There were so few healthy options, I ended up just ordering a burger and sweet potato fries. Though good, they were nothing to write home about - and the kids' pizza could have taken a lesson from some quick service places in my neighborhood. It's 2020! Time to refresh the menu with some tasty, nutrient rich options, reasonable portion sizes, and cleaner ingredient profile. All in all, we appreciated the excellent location but won't be going back.
The burger was excellent and staff and management were great!
Had a reservation for a large group on a Saturday night. Before the weekend I stopped by the restaurant and talked to the host to make sure everything was all set. When we got to the restaurant the table was not ready and the host gave us the reason that the parties before us are taking longer than expected to leave and they can’t just kick them out of their table. Okay, not that big of a deal but we didn’t realize how long we would be waiting. After 45 minutes of waiting, the staff eventually scrapped together some high top tables in the bar area for our party. Got seated and again waited and waited and waited for someone to come take our drink order. For our “inconvenience” they served us a party size Moscow mule, which we didn’t order. Would rather have just got served the drinks we wanted. When the food came out they forgot an entire meal so one person ate 20 minutes after the rest of us. Overall it was a terrible experience. Not that we were looking for free food but they didn’t even comp anything. Definitely not going back.
Cute spot. My only complaint was that I let our waiter know that we are vegan and it was confirmed that the meals that we were ordering had no dairy yet when my dish came out, it had shredded cheese on it :-(
They overbooked reservations so we had to wait. They had to make a table for us since the restaurant was so packed due to a snow they had booked for guests while they eat. Overall it was very disorganized but was fine in the end. Need much better planning next time.
They were very accommodating when I called and changed the number on the reservation. It took us over 20 minutes to be seated (with reservation). Host was very polite and friendly. It took a long time to put in an initial drink order and subsequent order. It is a great place and would give it another go; any place can have an off night.
Not impressed, service was awful. Food was good for the price though. Go if you want an affordable meal in Boston and that’s it
Short on staff on New Year’s Day Everything took a long time. Even with a reservation we were 30 minutes late to get a table. Only one bartender so never was able to order a drink while we waited and then it took 30 minutes to get drinks at our table
Went for New Year’s Day brunch
Waited twenty min for waiter to come over
Say with empty drinks during the meal
Otherwise it was good -really noisy, but cool decor and good food
We had a rezzie for 16. They seated us at a space meant for 12, which we squeezed into. Half the group was served drinks in a reasonable amount of time, the other half of the group still hadn’t been asked for their drink order after an hour at the table. It was busy but not that busy. We finally left after apps (pizzas and flatbreads) almost 2 hours into it. Flatbreads were good, the pizzas were meh. The waitress could care less, the manager tried his best, but in the end this was a fail.
Fun atmosphere and good food.
Like too many restaurants, too damn loud. Shouting across our table just to have a conversation. Food just okay, service uneven.
Excellent food that was reasonably priced. Casual and fun atmosphere.
We really enjoyed the initial attention upon arrival and getting seated. Our waiter was good at first by getting our drinks and food orders. But after that, we had to flag him down several times to get a missing drink and coffee refills. He was working behind the bar and getting drinks for other tables so I would say this is more of the restaurant not staffing properly since there were several tables occupied for brunch and he was making a lot of drinks.
Back Bay Social Club has a lot of great qualities. The location is awesome, Boylston St. across from the Pru. They have a great patio, though it was a rainy December night when we went so we didn't get to eat there. Our server was amazing. He took excellent care of us the entire time. The scene was pretty bumping on a Friday evening. If you're looking for a fun, energetic night out, this is a good place. I wouldn't recommend it for a cozy date night. Our food was good, not amazing, but solid. I enjoyed the burger I ordered, but I found the $23 price tag to be a bit excessive. They don't have a kids menu listed, but did have kids options that the server told us. Solid restaurant!
