Beautiful decor and good food but our server clearly wasn’t trained properly on how to wait on a table, especially in a Four Seasons restaurant. I have stayed there and eaten there several times before. The server told us she had been there since October. Her skills were lacking and she was struggling with timing because there is a certain flow required to wait tables properly and she didn’t have it. We ordered a $250 bottle of wine and her wine service skills were poor. She came to the table without a wine tool and used her leg to balance the bottle as she pulled the cork. Twice she served another course without presenting clean utensils. She seemed hurried, frustrated and lacked fine dining skills.
Would love to see an
the venue is gorgeous. the food was ok, but not what it had been written up to be
For an unhurried lunch with excellent service and food as and when you want it, Bar Margot is the place.
Great food with huge portions. My only complaint is the low tables which are combined with normal height chairs so your knees hit them. If your not going to do standard height tables then get non-standard height chairs.
My server Dante was awesome, great service, very attentive and overall super pleasant.
Drinks were great, and my Cacio e Pepe was super yummy.
My only negative was the charcuterie board. It’s $32 but it’s very lackluster compared to other boards I’ve had around town. I’m not sure why it’s so high but I did enjoy the honey.
Great spot to chill and grab bites especially after work. Mature crowd and ambiance.
Very disappointed as I had thought it was the Four Seasons restaurant that I had enjoyed many times. Just figured the name had changed. Bar very loud and we finally were seated in the balcony but it all was very weird. Won’t go again.
We enjoyed our meal but despite having reservations, service was slow and at times sloppy. We hope that this was only an outlier.
Bar Margot is always delicious. Nice people watching spot. Service was good. Got us in and out of there right on time to make it to our after dinner concert. Keep up the good work!
Outstanding service and food
The food was excellent. Crispy trout is a first rate entree. I also really enjoyed the burrata with apples and country bread. The Bar Margot gin cocktail was first rate, the Fords gin was a nice touch. Enjoyed my mousse for dessert. Taylor’s service was downright terrific. Made for a very nice evening.
The food was great - really liked it. We dad octopus, ceviche, lobster, and trout (among all five of us) plus barrata to share plus Caccio e Pepe and Papardelle. The food was fantastic.
The service was NOT GOOD. One person's meal FINALLY came after everyone else was almost finished (he asked us to go ahead), and the wait person was very hard to track down. That was not really her fault, though, because it was evident that she was trying to cover a lot of tables and that there were not enough people to cover the number of tables. She was still quite nice but was just overwhelmed by not having support. Maybe someone did not show up for the shift?
I would still go back.
Mediocre food for expensive fare. Hotel bars tend to be lackluster in food options, but I thought this one would be different. Meh. Drinks, however, were nice!
My trout was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Everything that came with it was to die for and I still felt healthy after eating it! I love Bar Margot the food has yet to disappoint
I would recommend sitting in the bar area instead of the dining area.
Server was very slow.
Nice ambiance and cozy atmosphere. Very friendly staff! Dishes were nice but I would expect a bigger wine list.
The food and service were excellent
Bar Margot Atlanta is a favorite Friday night gathering spot! I love the atmosphere, customer service, and music by DJ Mathis Hunter. We always feel like we're spending time with family. Keep up the great work!
The service was very slow. We waited 20 minutes to get water... and longer to get appetizers or drinks, and the restaurant wasn’t crowded. The food was decent. But for the price and the quality of restaurant Bar Margo is trying to be, I expected more.
The food was good but the service was terrible. Not only did they take a very long time to serve, they do not take more than 1 credit card per group. Needless to say, we were shocked that a place like this does not have the capabilities or willingness to facilitate the payment process, especially for a restaurant at the Four Seasons. It was a terrible experience overall.
Even though we had reservations, when we arrived there were no tables available for us in the restaurant
Always outstanding food and perfect service. Our go-to place before the symphony.
Literally amazing. I loved everything about this place.
We had a girls night and wanted someplace upscale and with a classy and fun atmosphere. Bar Margot did not disappoint. The service was exceptional, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. I highly recommend for a special occasion or just a nice dinner out. Great bar vibe and they had football on the tv with no sound and music playing.
Drinks were great and so was the food. Very good ambiance.
Mala la comida
Bar Margot has one of the nicest decor and ambience is in Atlanta. Our waitress, Gina, provided outstanding service. The food was tasty but the portion size was a bit smaller than expected. The drinks were some of the best I’ve had and I typically don’t drink alcohol. My friend and I enjoyed our experience overall.
Great food, great drinks, great service, great ambiance, but be prepared - it's expensive.
Octopus was over cooked but everything else perfect and drinks were excellent.
Lobster was undercooked. Very stringy and chewy. Service was great.
Lovely experience, staff was attentive and kind
Bar Margot is what you’d expect in a restaurant in a luxury motel, nice atmosphere and good food. The host was very friendly and the service was great. I got the braised beef campanelle and my husband had the squid ink pasta with lobster. Both dishes were delicious and we plan to return so we can try other menu items.
I love bar Margot but we had to wait over an hour for food which is terrible for lunch. I don’t care if the burgers are five dollars on Wednesdays, it should not take that long for food or they should get rid of the promotion.
The restaurant seems very nice. But not for lunch on a Sunday. Few options.
Always enjoy going to Bar Margot. Love the DJ they have on Friday nights. Enjoy the interacting with the staff. This has been my girls night out spot for over a year and I have enjoyed every bit of it.
Dined here during our stay to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. We were sat on a cozy couch near the bar. Taylor could not have been a more thoughtful, engaging, and attentive, and the food was very good (we split the fries, kale Caesar, and quail, as well as a dulce de leche cake on the house for our special occasion). It was a lovely meal!
Visited this place on successive nights. Really unique hotel bar in that it's a high end experience with a distinct local crowd. Menu is creative and food was great. Great service on our dinner visit and mediocre service on the second late night visit. All in all I would definitely recommend, particularly to folks staying at the Four Seasons. Service should be more finely tuned given the prices and setting.
Food was good but I had a child size portion of snapper served as a dinner item and it was not priced accordingly.
