Bass Street Chop House
Met friends from out of town before concert. Great proximity to venue! Food and service exceeded expectations.
Another fantastic meal and service!
Took forever to get drinks & apps, entrees came out at least 1 hour after ordering, side dishes came out after we finished entree.
We had a 6 p.m. reservation with the follow up plan of attending a concert literally next door to the restaurant. The hostess was not very welcoming and seemed a bit over her head. After taking your name and reservation you are directed off to the left of the hostess station with 5 or 6 other couples...they need some type of waiting queue to relieve some of the confusion. We were seated at 6:20, server was very pleasant but obviously overwhelmed. We ordered burgers so that we could make the show....took almost 45 minutes to get them. Food was good but that is a long time to wait for burgers. We each ordered another beverage while waiting for our food and that took another 15 or 20 minutes to arrive. We asked for our check when the food came as it was now 7:20. Might be time to try Johnny's again.
Attending a concert right Nextdoor to the restaurant. This is my favorite restaurant in the Quad-Cities! Always fantastic meals and service. The owner said hi to me by name as soon as I entered the door!
The steak was like sizzler and it took over 30 min for drinks. We also we never received the mushrooms that we ordered! We will not be back!
The waiter was nice but after we got our food he never checked on us until after we were done. We ran out of drinks middle if dinner.
The food was flavorless and our steak was under cooked.
Will not be returning.
My wife and I enjoyed our experience at Bass Street Chop House. We asked to be seated outside and had a nice view of the Mississippi River. The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. We then walked awhile on the River trail. Will return on next visit.
In the months since Bass Street has re-opened they have hit their stride! While a busy Saturday night, we were seated promptly and greeted by our waiter - the bartender Don as we sat in a booth in the bar - soon after for our drink order. This was a special occasion as our son made his first trip from DC since Covid.
My son especially enjoyed the beer selection with choices not normally found in area restaurants. We noticed the bar is now fully stocked with a very large selection of Scotch and bourbons/whiskeys.
We all had steaks including my son’s 14 ounce dry aged Delmonico that were flavorful, tender and done as requested. All food arrived on time and at the correct temperature. Don checked back at appropriate intervals.
All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing evening! We will be back.
The Lobster Corn Chowder was delicious as was the Chophouse Salad. My wife liked the Chophouse Club sandwich, and we both enjoyed the homemade chips...they should be made available as an appetizer!
Pre-concert meal, so the place was crowded but all the staff were doing their best to keep everything moving along. They even had our reservation with the parking attendant so we didn’t have to pay in their lot. Hostess and our server were especially nice despite dealing with so many customers. The bar menu was perfect for the occasion. Delicious but with reasonable portions. Plan to come back soon on a less crowded time for the full menu.
Where there for dinner before a show at TaxSlayer Center. Food was excellent! Only wish they would have been open after the show for cocktails or late night appetizers. Think they really missed out on the opportunity to capitalize on show traffic at hotel (Radisson).
The food was inedible
So wonderful to have fabulous outdoor dining and food consistently wonderful.. Dissappointing unvaccinated waitstaff not required to masks, glad we were outdoors with our masks when she came by. One in our party has cancer so needed to be extra careful.
Enjoyed sitting outside. Good service. Restaurant is a little pricey but well worth the money for special occasions
Excellent service, wine and drink excenneny, sides wonderful, entrees coming out of the kitchen need work.
This was our second time to Bass Street. It was a lovely dinner for just my husband and I.
Had dinner on patio. Lovely evening. Lots of cobwebs everywhere. Service was bad. Food was fair for the price. My husband ordered a beer & it came when we were almost done. However they did comp it. Over rated. No hurry to return 👎
We usually love the kobi burgers, but they were overdone and very dry. Portobello mushroom appetizer was really good.
Food was amazing and love the new venue.. So happy to have outdoor seating.. Wait staff so thoughtful and working hard to make everyone enjoy their evening
Kayla(server) made us comfortable and welcome. Patiently put up with our stagnant ordering and execution of our meal. Was a family event after a tough interment of a loved list one. Our meal was timely and delicious. Maitre de made sure everything was as we expected. Comfortable dining experience. Enjoyed our view of the adjacent Mississippi River and the traffic going in both directions. Weather was hot and exceedingly humid outside. Could not have been more comfortable dining inside though temperature made our ladies a bit chilled. So, if a prospective diner comes, bring a cotton sweater.
Food was amazing, the staff was awesome. First time being to a fancy restaurant with a baby and they were wonderful.
I have been to Bass Street a few times, always having great food and a great experience. This time I tried a dry-aged steak and was a little disappointed. I don't know if it was the actual piece of steak or the dry-aging process, but I will try something different next time. Everything else was great.
Great location. Manhattans were very good. View fantastic. Food was not as good as the original bass street. Strip steak was very large portion but not as tender as we remembered. Had mushrooms with cheese and the portion was enough for 6 people. Could not finish a third although it was very tasty. Maybe the food provider is not the same as the original one. Will be a while before we try bass street again.
We have always loved Bass Street and our opinion has not changed
Like all hospitality services in this COvID-19 world, they suffer from having too much business and not enough staff to handle it. They did a commendable job once we were seated. The waiter was good. The food coming out of the kitchen was a bit slow but on point, except the mac & cheese was cold the first time and barely much warmer the next. We love to people and food. We will come back, just probably not at 7:00 PM on Saturday night.
We were really looking forward to dining at the "new" Bass Street Chop house. We loved the previous venue. The interior remodeling was okay but the exterior looked like it wasn't finished. We were seated next to a large group table of 6 where we were almost touching the other diners. We ordered steaks and sea bass and a side of brussel sprouts. The fish was wonderful but the medium rare steak was cold and, frankly, had little flavor and the Brussels were placed in a soupy broth which seemed odd. Our waiter tried very hard to make things right and was wonderful but he couldn't help the quality of the food. A $150 meal for two people even in high end cities like Chicago should be wonderful but it wasn't. We will not be back. Very disappointing experience.
The food was good and the service was good. It was a little expensive.
Excellent service, helpful. Great wine selection. Food could use more seasoning, and expensive.
We have been customers of Bass Street Chop House for years. The experience is always of the highest quality, from the wait staff to the food and to the setting. We have NEVER been disappointed at any of our visits to Bass Street Chop House.
Had a wonderful birthday celebration evening with our family. Hunter did a great job serving and Scott’s singing Happy Birthday capped the evening!
New location for Bass Street. Personally I enjoyed the last location better. The food I got was great. A friend ordered crab legs and they weren’t good. There were six of us and five of us were very pleased with our meals. I would definitely return and recommend Bass Street. Our waitress was great! They make their own ranch dressing. It was really good.
First of all it was like eating in a refrigerator, very cold! The amount that they charge for the quality of the beef is NOT worth it. I had eating at the old restaurant a few times and had always loved the beef. Not sure what has changed? There are far better places in the Quad Cities for steak.
The burgers here were very good and worth waiting for. Unfortunately, as with so many establishments these days, the staff was shorthanded. They did their best and were extremely pleasant...but the ratio of staff to guests was just too low to keep up. It may still be one of the best restaurants in Rock Island as the choices are pretty limited.
Zu wenig Personal, ansonsten alles top.
Food was good....but.....food quality didn't justify the cost. Servers were excellent.
I was here for a business meeting and they exceeded all expectations. The food and service was fantastic!
My wife had to send her steak back to cook longer and my lobster tail was not fully cooked. I sent it back also. No manager came to ask about our food.
We had a wonderful evening dining at the Bass Street Chop House for our daughters birthday. Love the new location and the ambiance of the restaurant. From the moment Robin greeted us at the door to the delightful and attentive server Brittany our night was perfect. Our meals were delicious and the wine selection was top notch. We will definitely return.
