Bâton Rouge Steakhouse & Bar - Barrie

I received a call 2 minutes before my reservation asking if I was still coming. When I said I'm about 5 minutes away, the caller said, well your reservation was for 5. Based on this information, I assumed it was busy and they were wondering if they can give away the table. When I arrived, the place was pretty empty and we waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to the door to seat us. The rest of the night was great, the server was attentative and friendly and the food was delicious!

The onion rings were way over cooked
The cauliflower wings tasted like frozen cauliflower
The caesar salad was drowned in sauce
The person behind us kept getting texts messages with his volume on high. Very annoying

The atmosphere was lovely for a date night out. The food was tasty and good value for the price. The price is on the higher side for eating out but is not expensive. Overall a perfect place to go without the kids and enjoy real food and conversation.

It was a decent meal priced decently. We went on a Tuesday so it was pretty quiet. I would definitely go again sometime.

Excellent food - my husband and I usually get the steak salad and the seared tuna salad (both delicious), but this time we decided to try the prime rib and steak. Both were delicious served with garlic mashed and mixed veggies. The prime rib came with an au jus and the steak came with a peppercorn gravy my husband loved. The service was excellent. Even the owner came over to our table to ensure that we were enjoying our meal and everything was okay. This is our new go-to place! :)

Food and service were both excellent. Kudos to all for the COVID precautions in place and making it safe for all. Highly recommend!

You didn’t have the extras like you used to have such as the hot apple slices and coleslaw. We split the ribs which were a lot smaller then usual. It was a bit of a let down since we had told our friend’s about what you used to be like.

Paid over 200$ for food I didn’t even eat. So upset. Used to be my favourite restaurant. Not anymore.

This is my third visit to Baton Rouge since Covid - the last 2 for birthday celebrations. I found our waitresses all 3 times to be friendly, knowledgable and available. I had the filet and I like it med/rare but more rare than medium - in many restaurants that seems to be a difficult concept - not at Baton Rouge. The chef hit it spot on!! And the birthday cake dessert was delightful. I liked the sparkler used instead of candles to be a great idea. No big blowing of air around.... Would I go again?? You betcha'

Ribs not done properly. They were not precooked enough so did not fall off the bone!

Great food, great value! The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Dinner was delicious...as always. The service, excellent. Our server and the manager checked that everything was to our liking for each course.

Steak was great baked potatoes were very dry, but would go again.

Our waitress was funny and full of energy. She made our meal all the more enjoyable because if it. She was attentive without making us feel rushed - something wait staff seem to have trouble with sometimes. We told her that it was my DH birthday and she went out of her way to make him feel special. I just wish I could remember her name as I think she represented Baton Rouge well! We will definitely be back!! 👏

Food was great. They kept patrons apart from one another to maintain social distancing. Great experience for my sons 19 birthday. I would recommend this to family and friends.

The service was good. Our servers checked on us regularly. Atmosphere was relaxing and warm. Food was good but it could have been a bit hotter As it came to the table warm. We felt safe there; as all protocols were followed for cleanliness and social distancing, sanitary practices,. Friendliness of service were all great! It was a good experience.

Went with my girlfriend to have a nice dinner. We both got steaks and were both cooked to perfection. The service was just as impressive as the service. We were very impressed

Everything was good. But when I made a reservation for a booth and was seated in what I thought was the waiting section next to the entrance door I was a little upset. It felt like I got served the next open table or just wherever they could put me. What was the point of me making a reservation to get a table like that and freeze every time the door opened. I reserved a table for a date and we ate dinner wearing our jackets. So work needs to done there before I ever go back eating in an igloo ruined our experience. Didn't know making a reservation got me a table in cold....

Good food and atmosphere, we will definitely go back again.

Food was great. Little pricey but very tasty. Should serve more sides with each meal. Should have more on the menu for people who aren't into steak. Should have more basic appetizers. Overall it was great though.

Food just didn’t taste good for the price. Went with a group of three and none of us enjoyed our meals. Only thing I recommend would be the lobster stuffed mushrooms. The waitress was really nice though and good service.

It was one of the best meals we have had out for a long time! We will definitely be going back

Went valentine's day, my salmon was cold and my wife's steak was extremely salty and very tuff

Food was delicious, was a little irratated when I asked for a booth and waitress said it was only for 4's tonight which I understood and then not even 2 min later the next couple was seated there was a little frustrated. Manager was creepy and lingering around. Jenna our server was great.
