Bazaar Meat by José Andrés - Sahara Las Vegas
The Classic Tartare
Beef sirloin, savora mustard, egg yolk, hp sauce, anchovy, Parker House rolls
Pine nuts, preserved lemon
Well, we were in Las Vegas (LV) for WAC Men's basketball tournament, which was cancelled due to coronavirus. Fortunately, LV is now a destination city for fine dining with many celebrity chefs opening restaurants in Strip hotels. Being very familiar with Jose Andres' restaurant empire in DC, we decided to explore his steakhouse restaurant, Bazaar Beef, in the Sahara located at expanding north end of the Strip.
On our first visit, we tried his tapas-like, small portions of Morcilla uni, blood sausage and sea urchin, Beefsteak tomatoes tartare spread on romaine leafs, beef and parmesan grissini carpaccio, Brussel sprouts, and Vaca Viego, a rib-eye from an "old cow." As he has shown in his restaurants in DC in which has adapted his Spanish tapas to Mexican, Chinese/Peruvian, Middle Eastern cuisines, he can concoct savory dishes for whatever cuisine he becomes interested in. This steakhouse is another triumph.
We finished this visit with banana cake, coconut cake, and puff bacon. Whoever is the pastry chef is a star unto his/her-self!
Having recently had an incredible dining experience at Bazaar Miami, was looking forward to the Las Vegas version and introducing this experience to different dinner companions. The menu and ordering process in Bazaar is different than most and can be confusing. Past experience helped, but our server could have provided more guidance. Once beyond the ordering confusion, the food was fantastic and I would highly recommend!
Amazing quality and dishes. Try the classics but also allow your waiter to recommend and bring out options for you. Alexander was our server and he’s the best I’ve ever experienced. He is the reason I will recommend this place to everyone.
Very Unique menu. Excellent service and a wide variety of menu items which are unique to Bazaar. . Our group of four decided on Jose‘s which is a family style multicourse dinner special. Gave us an opportunity to experience things that we wouldn’t normally see in my steak houses. The service and teamwork was exceptional and maybe the best that I’ve ever experienced. Don’t be in a hurry and allow yourself time to enjoy.
This review is of our second visit to this Jose Andres' steakhouse venture in Las Vegas. After our amazing visit two days earlier, we tried his tasting menu, The Classic. It consisted of chicharrons, fried pig skins. green olives, real and extracted essence, the hallmark of his Minibar* in DC, bagels and lox, mini bagel cone filled with cream cheese topped with salmon roe, steak tartare in Parker House, which was somewhat disappointing with the tartare somewhat chewy, chicken fritters, mine had a piece of gristle, and Chateaubriand with silky smooth potato puree and asparagus. The Chateaubriand was best steak I have had that would fit "melts-in-your-mouth" texture.
Again, the variety of desserts was impeccable.
Awesome meal!! Great service, excellent food/taste. One of the very best meal. Must visit restaurant in Las Vegas.
From service to food it was an erotica experience
We went there to try good quality meet and food in return of super expensive meet it was unseasoned and chewy. Return it, it came back even worse. Asparagus was good lol.
Disappointed in overall meal. Very expensive (288 for 2 people) and our steak was average tasting. Service was great, salad and potatoes really tasty, but overall- we will never return.
Went here for my birthday, and had the 15 course tasting menu. The best meal I’ve ever had.
7:30 reservation on Friday night. Excellent food and service. One of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Wine list is a bit on the pricey side but fantastic experience overall. We will be returning next trip!
The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and provided a fantastic dining experience by making us feel welcome. Our server and his teammates were very passionate about the food, the chef and creating an experience for us. One of the absolute best meals I’ve ever had!
Chef José is easily the best thing about Vegas and this did not disappoint! We have been to Jaleo, e, and China Poblano, but this was our first visit to Bazaar Meat. As always, his food is fascinating, playful, imaginative and delicious. I will say that the Foie Gras S'mores are one of the best things I have ever had! And as I often say the most important aspect of my returning or recommending a restaurant is the service, I have to say that this was easily one of the best service experiences I have had over many years and many top restaurants in Vegas. Both our server with his recommendations and the manager who checked in and made sure our experience was unforgettable means we will definitely be here again our next trip out. I give this restaurant my highest recommendation and am grateful for the unforgettable time.
If you want that 5-star celebrity chef restaurant experience w/o taking out a 2nd mortgage for 2 hours of dining...go here! Great good. Great meats. Great tasting menu. And perfect service!
Quite possibly the best meal I've ever had - absolutely phenomenal! Fantastic service as well. Overall just an amazing experience.
Amazing food and service. I ate here last year and knew that when I was next in Vegas I had to eat here again. Did not disappoint! The unique presentation of the food is the icing on the cake. I will be back!
Came here for our anniversary, and it did not disappoint.
We’ve been here a number of times due to the stellar food, and outstanding service.
Very knowledgeable service staff, guided us through the overwhelming extensive menu. Attentive service. Gin and tonic was amazing, food quality was superb.
