Overall it was better than the other 2 Twin City locations. I was surprised that at this one they actually had Ice Tea, the other two no. But sadly the cook was very distracted by other things in the room and really didn’t engage like other cooks generally do. Biggest complaint here along with most restaurants in Hennepin county is the Ridiculous service charge they nail you with on your bill to help everyone. Well then we as customers should get things for that, which they are lacking.

Food was good and we had a good time. But I thought the $950 for 10 people was excessive. Four of our party were under age 12.

They’ve removed items from the menu—including the hibachi noodles—and, honestly, things like this strip away the essence of the place. It’s off-putting for customers; you end up spending a lot, yet they take away parts of the service.

We usually just go here for our son's birthday. I haven't had a bad experience here, but these days going out needs to hit more positives than this visit did. Our server was overwhelmed, forgot my water, and we couldn't hear her listing off the specials. The chef was fine, but it seems that he was just going through the motions. At the end, we felt rushed out and forgotten. To spend over $100 on each of us, seems a bit much for a mediocre service experience.

Our server was fantastic. However Maple Grove Benihana has really just too many rules to their menu and has become so expensive we will never eat at this location again! The Minneapolis Benihana is way better and more accommodating! Shame on you Maple Grove management!!

Our lunch at Benihana yesterday was really good. Our chef, Hector was entertaining and our server, can't remember his name, was excellent. Thank you for the $25.00 off, 1/2 Birthday Friends w/ Benefits offer. Always enjoy going to Benihana 's.

Our reservation was at 11:45, we were seated promptly and then no one came to take our orders until 12:15. Didn’t receive ANY food until 12:40, and by 1:05 I STILL didn’t have my rice.

Sadly it has become way overpriced. With special butter add-ons, various service fees/taxes that are confusing and an automatic 20% tip deducted it was well over $100/pp. was insanely loud and felt pressured by the waitress to purchase the extras without fully explaining why. Probably will not be back which is unfortunate as I used to love this place. The highlight was Lamar our teppenaki chef who was really entertaining and interactive with the table.

We came in last night to celebrate my son and daughter-in-law’s birthdays and had a couple of little ones with us as well. We had such a great experience! Our server was wonderful and attentive, and **Maria’s attention and follow-up were absolutely top-notch**. Our chef made the whole experience so much fun, and the food was outstanding! Everyone went above and beyond to make our celebration special. Great food, great service, and such a fun atmosphere. **We will definitely be back!**
