This establishment has been closed permanently and you are still taking reservations. We did not have another option at that time on a Sunday

This restaurant is closed and needs to be taking off your site.

Bistro 27 actually closed down on 10 October but has not been removed from Open Table. Only found this out when I arrived at the restaurant for my reservation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Bistro 27 last night. Food was excellent, service was very attentive and gracious, and they reimbursed our parking as well. The chef even came out and spoke with us to make sure we were enjoying our experience. They strictly adhere to the 6 foot minimum social distancing between tables, and have placed hand sanitizer on every table. We will be back!

The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. I was saddened by the fact that there were no other parties there beside my husband and me. I hope folks start to recognize this gem and give it patronage it deserves. Lets support Mom & Pop businesses i n the community!

I have this place all one stars because I made a reservation and it was cancelled I was told that I was called but had no missed calls from bistro 27 we arrived and she explained there was a private party but would give us 25 dollars off next visit I don't come to Richmond often so there was no point so I had to make last min reservation somewhere else. Luckily just in time. They knew about this for a while why were no calls made the day before ? I was livid and still am about the situation I don't think I will ever go there. It would've been our first time.

Birthday was a special day celebrating with my children. Scallops were perfectly cooked. The seafood polenta appetizer is so good I could have 10!

All Covid precautions were taken making the meal stress free.

Fantastic food, the owner was incredibly kind and checked on our table multiple times throughout our evening. My guests were from out of town and they by far enjoyed Bistro 27 of all the places we ate at during their visit. Pandemic or not, the food was excellent and delicious, the ambiance was great, and the waiter and owner were both incredibly nice.

The service was excellent and we had a wonderful brunch. Would absolutely recommend! The food and drinks were both delicious and the selections were wonderful.

What a delightful experience! We made 8:30 reservations without knowing covid has caused the restaurant to close at 9 - the owner (we think) came out to let us know that but gave us complimentary bubbly and encouraged us to take our time.

The food was excellent - I had the tuna and my boyfriend had the duck. Delicious! Perfect portions, we left happy and were the only two in the place.

The wait staff was very attentive and the experience was overall magnificent. We'll certainly be back!

Everything was wonderful from the food to the service to the ambience. I loved the seafood pasta and my friend enjoyed her fish of the day. I can't wait to try your to go promo of bistro 27 on the fly. If the food is anything like we had at the restaurant I will be super happy plus it's priced so affordably. Thank you for such a great dinning experience!

Bistro 27 is the perfect spot for a dinner with friends or a cute date night. They have amazing food and service! I would highly recommend it.

My son and I had an outstanding dinner Sunday night. Our salads of mixed greens were topped with slicked strawberries, nectarines, candies pecans and house made croutons.
We both had the best shrimp and polenta dish I have ever had. It was made with mixed sauteed vegetables and a white wine caper sauce. For dessert we had chocolate mousse accompanied with sliced strawberries and topped with whipped cream infused with Baileys Irish Cream.
Can't wait to go back.

Birthday brunch

Great food. The owner was delightful and very attentive. We shared the crab dip, salad and seafood pasta. All three were delicious. The chocolate torte was out of this world.

Great food, Nice wine testing, I would say that there could of been a little more lighting outside to be able to see your dinner. Other than that it was great food.

I had the mushroom appetizer and the scallop dinner. Both were excellent. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the corn purée worked beautifully together.

Our dinner was fantastic from the server to the hostess to the bartender to the manager everything was outstanding felt like we were part of the 27 bistro family! Highly recommend food was out of this world!

Food was delicious! I'm a huge crabcake fan and tried the Crabcake BLT with waffle fries. Never had bacon on a crabcake but to my surprise, it was quite scrumptious. Will definetly return. Great job by the staff!

We had the best brunch experience ever and intend to make Bistro 27 a regular stop. The food was exquisite, including the best tiramisu I have ever had. And we were made to feel incredibly special throughout the meal. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

High expectations reading other reviews but underwhelming in real life.

Sat for an appetizer (crab and cauliflower gratin that came out room temperature), salad course, entrees, and dessert and were one of maybe 5 tables in the restaurant.

Each course came out before the last was cleared which is just poor timing and attention - especially when not in a huge dinner rush.

One of the entrees was delivered incorrectly (again, not many folks in the restaurant so not sure how that happens).

Food was okay, albeit bland. All plate setups were the same, except for the meats (i.e. plain white risotto and a vegetable medley were paired with the scallops dish and the duck breast). Duck breast was ordered medium rare and came out closer to medium-medium well.

The limoncello cake was the highlight and was at best "above average" though could have been more lemony.

Neat place and nice ambiance, but that only goes so far. Very expensive for little perceived value (and we do not mind spending $150-200 for the two of us).

We were just in for the weekend (and come in several times a year). Probably won't return given all the other places in Richmond.

A wonderful romantic dinner for a special occasion. We visited Richmond for a long weekend and stayed at the Quirk Hotel (also recommended). We moseyed down one block to Bistro 27 and had a delightful two-hour dinner with a bottle of wine to celebrate a milestone birthday. The staff and manager were very courteous, friendly and helpful. It made for a memorable experience. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I came in on a 6:00 PM reservation on March 6, 2020 and had a wonderful experience. She ordered the scallops and I ordered the Atlantic Salmon and the food was very good! The service was incredible too, and very friendly even though we clearly weren’t familiar with upscale restaurant etiquette. We don’t know much about upscale restaurants but this was a great experience for myself and her.
The wonderful staff members that we had tonight were: Melissa, John, Kyle, and the manager on duty was William Wright. Thank you all for a great experience

We did the sampler for our wedding and the service was impecccable!! It was a very good variety with 3 different salads, the 3 main courses with a salmon, steak, and chicken entree. Then, to top it off was 3 desserts...the lemon cake was to die for!!! I would definitely recommend trying it out!!

From the time I walked in to the moment I left, I experienced incredible warm and welcoming service. Arrived a few min early of my reservation. Greeted with a warm handshake and a chilled glass of wine at the table from the owner Will. The seafood pasta special was delicious. The crispy duck was perfection. The service was exceptional. Every visit to Richmond, VA will include a stop for dinner or Brunch at Bistro 27. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Comfortable open bright space. The duck was very tasty, but could have been a bit warmer. The pasta was creamy and delicious. Service was friendly, efficient, and informative.

I have to say I was impressed with the owner ( I assume) who went out of his way to welcome people even going so far as to tell a couple that had no reservations that although he had no space for them that he would treat them both to a complimentary glass of wine at the bar. He also topped off our wine glasses while we ate dinner which was the first and only time I have ever had that happen at a restaurant. The food is good and the service great as well.

We love Bistro 27 and it is our go to place every time we go to the VA Rep for their shows. Excellent all around. We feel well taken care of!!

Great brunch with awesome Bloody Mary’s. We sat at the bar and had a delicious meal and good conversation with the attentive staff. Definitely recommend Bistro 27 for your Sunday brunch!

Food was great! Atmosphere was great! The openingness of the restaurant does carry a little noise due to others talking but it is not bad.

The food was phenomenal. Seriously, get the calamari--it is some of the best I have ever had and I get calamari at every opportunity. The service was excellent, with the owner present and checking in on people. Will definitely be going back.

Bistro 27 was the best decision we made all weekend! Our server was awesome and the owner was out front talking to diners and living up to his title as Head Babysitter/The Warden! Great staff, awesome food and just a really nice place to dine on our weekend visit to Richmond. I would highly recommend giving it a try.
