Absolutely loved it!
I liked the simple menu, even though there was a lot of variety in the food. Nice restaurant - good view, quiet enough to have an engaging conversation. Waitress was very personable and friendly.
Experience was great. I find lighting to be a little too dim.
Good food. Great personable service. Noisey, which could be improved with installation of some acoustic panels.
The new menu is filled with options that are exciting and seasonal. I always love the friendly and attentive service by staff, and find the overall experience to be an incredible value.
Our pork Tenderloin and chicken dishes were both excellent!
This was our first time visiting Bistro 67 and it was amazing! The staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive and the food was fantastic! The amount of thought and dedication put into each dish was apparent and so well done! We will definately be returning!
Food quality was a bit disappointing for s teaching restaurant.
I would have given top rating to service except when I asked for a table at the end of the restaurant so I could see the sunset, I was told they were both reserved. But by the time I left at 8:00 pm, no-one took them.
The experience was wonderful. I worked at two colleges with student based restaurants and kitchens and Durham is the best! Great supervisor that night.
Our reservation was at 1230pm on a Sunday. We were asked to hurry up and eat as they were going to close. My salad leaves looked old. The wait staff hovered to encourage us to leave in a timely fashion. I will not return nor recommend
Overall a good experience with great food! Service was great as well
Fantastic food, including dishes that I wasn’t sure about but turned out to be both delicious and different to what I’m used to. Incredible service. Heartily recommended.
Amazing as always!
It was a great . I wasn't fancy on the apple drink. Everything else was great.
A true hidden gem. Perfect for couples date night. All Durhamites should try this restaurant. The young chefs prepare the food masterfully. Their cuisine rivals any downtown Toronto gourmet restaurant.
Even tho my ratings were on the low side, I have been to the bistro many times and have always enjoyed my food and surroundings. This past visit I was disappointed with the selections. I found them heavy in carbs and starch. My green fried tomatoes were tasteless and actually quite bitter. My entree was not well presented- very dull looking- Risotto with tomato sauce and very salty scallops. The scallops were cooked quite well but super salty! The whole presentation was just not appealing at all!
The pancake appetizer had some weird herb taste that did not compliment the dish. The steak was underwhelming as well and the veggies that came with the steak were undercooked and cold.
The bread sticks and oil we had at the beginning were super delicious! The service was superb! The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating and attentive. But all in all the food experience was not up to the standards of my last few experiences I have had at the bistro. It will not deter me from coming back but I hope the food selections will improve for the next time as I do love the atmosphere and love to support the community college.
Service was great, food was delicious, prices are very fair. We will definitely be back.
We picked Bistro 67 on a whim. We were very happy with the choice. Although a little odd to get into, once you are inside the restaurant is great. Most of the restaurant has either window, or near window seating with the gardens in the forefront, and the lake in the background.
Service was great, and the food terrific.
We will definitely come to this restaurant again!
We gave the food a 4/5 simply because of the salt usage. We are finding all restaurants overusing salt these days and we expected that Bistro 67 with would be more judicious. This was the pasta and the scallops. But, having said said, the food was pretty darn good.
Love the place been twice food is excellent service great and enjoy seeing the students learn
Our table was ready - Service was quick Server was prompt efficient - and attentive. Food selection was great - with fresh garden products-and offering alternatives for food allergies. Our food was served in a timely manner and hot. Will visit again soon.
We all enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, with our reservation being at 7:30pm, we were seated next to the kitchen. Our experience of dining at one of the finer restaurants in Durham, was dampened by the constant activity of the kitchen doors being opened and closed on a busy Saturday night. The service was so fast this time that we were back at home within 90 minutes of our reservation. One dessert arrived quite a while after and thought that it had to be thawed before serving - I was pleased with the quenelle technique though. We very much enjoy eating there and just felt a bit disappointed this time around. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We'll be back.
Hidden gem in Whitby. Part of the University. Surprising.
We finally took the opportunity to visit Bistro67 and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing. The service was great. The whole concept of the restaurant is unique. Can't wait to go back
Waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes and wine choice
Very picturesque view, especially the mature gardens.
Would definitely return for another meal and recommend restaurant to others
The drinks, appetizers and dinner were delicious. I ordered the pasta of the day and sampled the salmon. I appreciate desert with sparklers brought out and presented to my 2 friends celebrating birthdays which we all got to sample. We were impressed with the view of the garden and sunset. We actually went in the garden and took a few group selfies. I would definitely come back.
Food was excellent. Service was good. View over the garden was great. Highly recommend.
It was a very nice and well thought out dinner. Very fresh and presented well. I understand what goes into making the meals and staff, however, it was a high priced meal. We enjoyed the restaurant but likely would not do it again. We paid well over $100 for 2 dinners without alcohol, one dessert and a starter soup. BUT, for a special occasion, you can see the gardens where the food comes from, watch the butterflies and birds around the sunflowers - it makes a dining experience and would recommend to do it at least once! Anyone looking for something different, seasonal and fresh for a meal while supporting the students that work there and the school, it is great fun.
Too little sauce to my liking. Taste is on the mild side.
Have had the pleasure of dining here on many occasions for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed! The unique, ever changing menu makes the experience even more interesting with the creative, fresh selections. The staff have always been attentive , knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Highly reccomend!
Amazing atmosphere! Great food. My new top pick for date night.
1st visit & impressed! I was disappointed with my entrée, and would not recommend the Baked Eggplant--the mozzarella cheese was too-much I couldn't eat it (East Side Mario's not bistro quality). Overall quality is very good, will definitely try a 2nd time.
Our server Amanda was very attentive and helpful.
Dinner was awesome. A great varied menu.
We love coming here for special occasions. They give our daughters a map of the garden so they can see where their did comes from.
They go above and beyond to make sure it is a memorable meal.
The food has always been different and unique.
I always tell everyone about this restaurant!
First time visit. The Service, food and ambience was excellent.Had the empanadas, Jerk chicken, pasta and dessert....Delicious :-). Will definitely return.
Outstanding value for the cost, super fresh and delicious!
The meal was fantastic, service was great, the noise level was very loud. We were a table
of four ladies and could not chat over dinner the noise level was so loud. I do understand with
the design of the building it would be difficult to control the noise from taveling, but that was
my only disappointment. We had not seen each other for over a year and not being able to
chat over dinner was dissapointing.
Meal and Sevice was impeccable.
Our Waitress was unknowledgeable about the menu. Wine menu was limited to VQA wines only. We were not impressed by the food, although the abundance of fresh ingredients growing in the gardens should have made for a very fresh a delicious meal.
The location and view overlooking the gardens was nice but we won’t be returning any time soon!!
Hi Randy Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that your server was not familiar with the menu. It is part of their training, learning outcomes and the ability to tell our story. We take all feedback on menu and wine into consideration. We are about to change to our fall/ winter menu so this is useful for that process. Should you wish to discuss your experience further please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org Regards Kelly
We all agreed that the creativity in presentation and unique use of spices was outstanding. The service was thoughtful, informative and professional.
