The food at Bistro 218 is consistently prepared and presently in a way that makes you want to come back again and again. From the valet that greets you and ushers you to the door, to the hostess that is so personal, to the bartenders that know just what you want for a cocktail, to the most gracious waitstaff around, the Bistro 218 is unbeatable

Great as usual! Our server was outstanding and she went out of her way to make our night enjoyable.

Our waiter was Sean. Sean was an outstanding waiter that was very knowledgeable about the food menu and drink menu. He made wonderful suggestions. Overall the food and drinks were amazing.

My Husband and I celebrated our Anniversary dinner here and it was perfect!! It was romantic and delicious, when we arrived we had a thoughtful note congratulating us on our Anniversary which was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the rest of the night! Being from Nola I am use to good food and restaurants and service, and I promise this place will not disappoint!

Quaint restaurant in downtown Birmingham. Excellent Medallion and Beef Wellington meals served just right. Great ambience in the bar area. Service and conversation from our bartender was outstanding.

We almost always eat at the bar. Matt and the service staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and expedient. The setting also facilitates interactions with other patrons, albeit from a distance. My wife samples the menu, and this week raved about the scallops. I rarely eat beef, except when here. I always have the nitro steak-delicious!

Great place for my wife and I to have a little getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

We took our two children (4 & 7) for a special Christmas dinner and everything was spectacular! Great wine and the best scallops I’ve ever had. And the “kids” cheeseburger was one of the best in BHM. We will make it a tradition!

Food was amazing, our server was great, just a little slow. It was clear that he was overwhelmed though. He was style only server in the dining room.

This was the fourth year in a row to have a family Christmas celebration at Bistro 218. As usual everything was perfect from the hostess to the bar to the wait staff and of course the kitchen. I enjoy Bistro 218 multiple times each year but Christmas is always special. Thank you to Matt, Mark and all the other staff that helped us enjoy the evening and especially to Tom Saab for providing such a great place to enjoy

Excellent food at a fair price. They made me feel welcome at the entire staff was attentive from the moment I walked in the front door. The cocktails were good, the food had great flavor and the service was excellent. One of my favorites in Birmingham.

Had a great birthday dinner. Always have a great meal at Bistro 218. The risotto was delicious as well as the flounder. Cocktails also superb! Love the vibe in the bar!

Food was fabulous as always. The beef wellington was perfect. Our only problem was that our party was placed next to the front door in the bar, which doesn't have any kind of wind break, so every time the door opened you were blasted with freezing air.

Delicious crab cakes! Attentive service. Good location. Nice restaurant for a special occasion.

Cannot say enough good things about the experience. Despite COVID restrictions the staff did a marvelous job of making us comfortable. The food was delicious and authentically French bistro style.

Limited menu but the items available were amazing. We all had something different and each of us loved it!

We got to eat outside and it was ‘Eat in the Street’ so we got the extra fun of live music and a casual setting. Everyone in our party loved their dinner!

Great place for date night. Staff was masked up social distancing was observed and food was excellent. Will be going back.

The food and service are always outstanding - very consistent and top quality. Their filet gumbo is very authentic. The decor and music is nice. We had forgotten how noisy it was in the dining area, even with fewer tables due to COVID-19. It was noisy enough that our 11-month-old, who has been out with us many times for dinner, was a bit overwhelmed and became a bit fussy.

Food was wonderful and we were very comfortable with the location and separation of our table. Service was great. Well be back!
