Black Angus Steakhouse - Ventura
We had a great dinner! Food & service exceptional.
Exceeded our expectations. Food was fresh and tasty, arriving just as ordered and in a timely manner. Server was prompt and attentive. Will be back!
Excellent food and experience! We find ourselves returning frequently.
Cambria did a great job providing excellent and friendly service.
The food came quickly and it was hot and the prime rib was well cooked.
The Brussels sprouts were a little underdone, but the new crab cake is pretty good.
I appreciated being able to make a reservation online.
It was wonderful the place the people nice setting
Great food, wonderful experience to celebrate my dad's birthday. Definitely going again in the future!
Food was delicious! As usual! Our waitress was knowledgeable and fast!
When getting called to go to our table the hosts seemed aggravated. Not sure if it was due to the volume of people. Didn’t seem friendly. My boyfriend even said “they seem angry”. Our server was very attentive and was friendly
Muy buen servicio
For the most part everything was great. The only bad thing is that they do not honor any coupons of any kind. Some people look forward to going out and allowing coupons would be the icing because Valentine's day is already an expensive day so your meal should not have to be. Black Angus will still make money regardless and people would appreciate it more if they could have used a coupon
Great food and excellent service with generous portions.
Excellent. The manager, Ryan greeted us and was very friendly. Olivia, our server was excellent. Food came to our table in a timely manner and was good.
Filet Mignon was excellent and perfectly cooked
We were there to celebrate Valentine's Day and had a truly wonderful meal and outstanding service from the whole staff (especially our waiter, Roger). We are Black Angus Club Members because of these experiences at this location. We drive 40 miles from Santa Barbara to dine here.
My dad has hearing issues and Black Angus is one of the few places we can go that he can hear and have a conversation. Food is always consistent and delicious and our server was outstanding!
We eat here often. This visit was unsatisfactory because the Teriyaki Sesame Steak was just very, very tough. I ordered it medium, and my Mom ordered it rare. You couldn't even cut through the rare steak. The serrated knife was just ripping pieces off and not even cutting.
The bottom line this was a few dollars cheaper than the filet mignon. And I should no better.
Moral of the story: Spend the extra few bucks if you're looking for tender beef.
Food was delicious, server was great and blood orange margarita was on point. We’ll be back.
Our waitress made our evening as father n son. Interacted with us on casual cool stuff. Very nice person....Carli....I think her name was.
We always have the Campfire feast and up grade to filet mignon. The steak is always perfectly rare. Wednesday is 1/2 off a bottle of wine. And if you sign up you get frequent coupons for discounts. For us it was an additional $15 off the Campfire Feast. A very reasonable and delicious meal.
Joined the Prime Club for my birthday. The staff was very helpful processing the coupons. Steaks were perfectly cooked and the dessert cookie came out hot and delicious. We'll be back!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Campfire Special. We highly recommend the Steak Quesadilla appetizer. Server timed our courses perfectly.
I e always had a great dinner at this location. The service is always great and the food never disappoints.
A very busy nite, but we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time.
My filet was so tender I hardly had to chew it. Flavor was superb
Awesome food, great prices, big portions, and a very relaxing night.
Invited a friend to join us for my birthday dinner. We had a campfire feast and shared the appetizer and dessert with her. She got the filet mignon and the special was an additional free lobster tail that was delicious and juicy. The filets are always perfectly done. We enjoyed a half priced bottle of wine (Yeah Wednesdays) and took my birthday cowboy cookie home to enjoy for a couple of days. In all a delicious and reasonable feast.
Had the fall trio coupon for lobster, steak and shrimp with 2 sides. Brussels Sprouts could of been cooked more, but the rest was good. Great sweet molasses bread.
Everything from the service to the drinks, dinner and the dessert was absolutely awesome!! I enjoyed my meal very much!!
Steak was over cooked.
It took us to be served the meal about 30min and during that time waitress came to our table
every 5 min asking about if we were doing OK... The steak was not so good as expected.
I see many waiter/waitress were chatting all the time inside/ behind of the place
Waiter was an A+. The lights were way to bright, when I go to fancier steak houses the lights are nice and dim. The food wasn’t anything special, the Lobster Themador was the main disappointment. The sauce was to watery and I don’t think it was Lobster more like crawdads. Won’t go there dinner again only lunch.
great value for a great family steakhouse thanks
The wait was just right! The food was sufficient and plentiful!
Excellent food and our waitress was outstanding!
Not for a "structured" event. There was no point to making a reservation because we waited an additional 45- mins b4 being seated. The food came out cold & "thrown" together. I expected so much more from this restaurant! Very disappointed!
The manager don't know her name that was there on Thanksgiving doing the seating charting was not very pleasant my waitress was excellent the food was good but the manager was not so nice and was unkind and very short with me.. I think it would be in your best interest to get rid of her they're not supposed to be Snappy with the customers ...make it where I rather go someplace else
Great Thanksgiving Day meal ,great food and the service was first class had to wait an extra 30 minutes past our reservation time but other than that could not fault anything
We've been eating at Black Angus since it was Stuart Anderson's - lots of years. This year we decided to have Thanksgiving Dinner there and made reservations via OpenTable a week ahead for 2:30 PM Thanksgiving Day. The place was packed - wall to wall people! The four of us had a 20-minute wait beyond our reservation time. Service was good even though it was obvious the servers were super busy. And the four Thanksgiving turkey dinners were delicious. We brought home leftovers and they were gobbled up quickly! Well Done, Black Angus.
Remember, this was Thanksgiving Day,
Even though we had reservations , we had a wait (about 30 minutes), prior years (at least 2) we got in with reservations much sooner.
Food was good (though not hot). Service was rushed (as you would expect on Thanksgiving), but Good.
Seems not enough helpers (waiters, bus boys, etc.) for the crowd\.
Not sure if we will go next year on Thanksgiving.
