BlackFly - St Augustine

Everything was fresh and had a lovely presentation. Spicy Shrimp was fantastic. cooked perfectly. Salmon tower was unique. tasty. My companion had steak, which was tender and perfectly cooked. I'm not usually into chimichurri sauce, but Black fly's was very fresh - not overdone with parsley. Infused oil was a tasty touch. Served with warm, crusty bread. Yummy margaritas with fresh fruit puree. Odd pairing that was delightful, was the spiced pumpkin margarita and spicy shrimp. Shared the kahlua, chocolate cake - so creamy, melted in our mouth, great dark chocolate. Enjoy!

Exceptional dinner experience, the seafood is fresh and delicious! The Mkt Grouper and Coconut Encrusted Lobster was the best I have had and that's coming from a Floridian.

Food was fantastic and the staff was great! The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean and respected social distancing.

Never disappointed in the meals as well as their specials. We just needed to get out of the house and have a wonderful dinner. We made our reservations for this past Sunday and enjoyed the service and our meals and a fabulous bottle of wine. Thank you

This was our 2nd time back here! This is our favorite go-to spot when in town....away from the touristy part of St Augustine.....highly recommend! Food and service are always top notch!!

NY strip had lots of fat. Brownie desert was under cooked. Caesar salad had old lettuce, poor flavored dressing.
Service was good.

Both of our meals were disappointing. I had a crab and angel hair pasta dish and the sauce was terrible. My husband had their special which was grouper and it was drowned in a heavy, heavy butter sauce. Then afterwards, the waitress brought our check and never even asked if we wanted dessert. That was very surprising considering we never complained about the quality of the food. Very surprised since the reviews we read were good. I would not recommend.

I had the blue crab pasta and my husband had the fried shrimp. The shrimp and the dipping sauce were great along with tasty seasonal well seasoned vegetables. My crab was delicious and a large bowl of it.

Excellent food served in a casual atmosphere. Our server was attentive to our needs without being intrusive. The wine list was extensive with choices by the bottle and glass.

Our favorite place to eat in St Augustine. Love the atmosphere and the amazing food.

While my father in law recommended this restaurant I was hesitant from others. They explained great food but over priced. And they were right. Great restaurant however for the quality not quite what I expected. My wife's steak was done perfect but still tough for a sirloin. The portions were outstanding and fulfilling. Appetizers were amazing and solid portions.

We love BlackFly and eat there every-time we come to St. Augustine! We had the coconut lobster tails snd they were delicious. Creme Brûlée was amazing too! Beautiful decor and service was excellent.

New Year’s Day date night with hubby. We wanted fresh seafood, but not typical. The food was amazing. Flavors brought together like a song and dance. Beautifully presented dishes. Did not disappoint.

We did an appetizer experience this time 4 apps 2 people and two cocktails. Everytbing was wonderful. The chili lime filet is still #1. The chili lime shrimp yum yum. Best of all wa the service from Jessica. Always makes our experience more enjoyable.

Menu was limited, probably due to Covid, but what was there was good. Would go again.

Everything about this place is perfect! From excellent service to excellent food, you can’t go wrong with Blackfly any day of the week! I have a gluten allergy and am always able to order something delicious. Every item is cooked perfectly.

We were seated promptly and greeted by the wait staff immediately. George was our waiter and did an outstanding job. We started with drinks and the conch fritters which were super. My entree snapper was delicious and my son enjoyed the crab & pasta. Everything from the service to food was excellent.

Food was delicious! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Went with my husband for our anniversary. The food was good but not great and the atmosphere was not what I was expecting. It was very loud and boisterous, not cozy or romantic at all. Thought it was a bit overpriced.

Enjoyed dinner food was great service was quick not much discussion regarding specials or recommendations had to pull the info out of server. Quality and price were great

we have been going to the black fly for 7 years and they have continuously maintained the quality of the service and the quality of the food. Nick the manager is always most gracious and the specials are always interesting with a great selection of cocktails.

Blackfly scored all "A"s...Make sure to booked this restaurant and give them the well deserved opportunity when you're in the area. BTW...they also serve up a great old fashion to compliment your outing. Special thanks to the manager for acknowledging his bar staff and their skills.

The food was completely delicious!! We had the Lobster tails and the fresh catch (snapper) and all were just delectable!! Bread pudding was delightful as well, and our server was great. Will definitely go again for a special occasion.

I’ve known about this place for awhile but finally went over Christmas. Parking was easy, menu was simple yet very interesting flavor profiles. Loved my meal and service was spot on! Would recommend to anyone who is trying to avoid the busy St Augustine downtown and doesn’t want to park a block away from where you are eating.

it's been a year since we ate there. The portions were more than we remember, the right amount. it felt good to back eating at the Blackfly!

We enjoyed our meal very much, we had one lobster tail entree and a snapper special, both of which were perfectly done, started with a wonderful mushroom bisque. The best part of the visit-we were seated with the regular wine list and another which showed many selections at about $20-29. I asked for a recommendation of one of the 2 white blends, since that was a little pricey for a glass, and I wanted to enjoy it. Caitlin our server poured me a sample, and it was exactly what I was looking for, but the bonus was that it was Wednesday, and the $29 was for the bottle. That list was their Wednesday list of half priced wines. Great deal and nice surprise. We also had key lime pie, which was fine.

The service from Kendall was very good. The food was excellent. Enjoyed the evening at BlackFly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Everything from starters, entree’s, drinks, and desert were outstanding. Service was great as well. We will be back for more.

We were an hour early, sat at the bar and ate there since we didn’t want to wait! It was great the atmosphere, food and drinks were on point! Would definitely go back!

Food is very good. Conch fritters could easily be shared if going for main courses. Dynamite salmon is a very filling meal.

Would highly recommend the Blackfly! The food was great and the service was exceptional. I had the short ribs and it just melted in my mouth! Prices are a little high, but so are everyone else's. Will go again.....soon!!
