Food was flavored well. Service was very poor from our server. Not sure if this was an individual short coming or a structural issue at this resturant.
We ordered a dozen Bluepoint oysters that did not taste like Bluepoint oysters and two of them I had to spit out discreetly in my napkin because they were bad. Our server, who was very nice and attentive, unfortunately spilled a beer on our table, appetizer, and a member of our party. Several people quickly came over to help clean it up. Of course they replaced the beer but there was no offer to comp anything. I was a little surprised when I got the check because it’s an upscale restaurant. My main course of crab carbonara was dry and disappointing.
I went for brunch with a friend and it was great. The food was great as well as the drinks. I will definitely go back
Service did not meet expectations. We had to inform our hostess that we had not been acknowledged by wait staff after waiting for over 15 minutes.
It was great! The food was delicious and the service was awesome! We are definitely going back soon!
I would have given the experience higher marks, except our waiter's attitude. Food was really good. Executive chef dropped by the table; a nice touch. We got to sit outside. All good, except the waiter could not accommodate simple requests for a virgin mojito or iced coffee -- when the regular version of both were on the menu (leave out alcohol? add ice?) The place was not busy. We also were told the chicken wings were gluten-friendly, until they arrived at the table and we were informed they had "a dusting of flour." But we will be back -- for the food and ambiance and, we hope, a different waiter.
My best friend and I were celebrating her birthday.
We arrived 30 minutes early and informed Emory(excuse spelling if incorrect) that we noted outdoors seating. She was very rude and abrupt in cutting me off. I asked if we could wait for an open seat she then cuts me off again and said if you choose but seating won’t open up it’s first come first serve.
I think it would have been better received if she was kind. This is my second encounter with a rude hostess from Blackwall Hitch and I made sure to get this young ladies name this go around.
Not sure if it’s because I am a brown women and I make her uncomfortable or if they are just young and not properly trained but each time the hostess has been rude.
Our waitress was nervous not sure if it was her first day but she checked on the white couple that was dining behind us frequently and was rather nervous when it came to assisting us.
Another waitress was much more outgoing and friendly and made sure we were okay.
The manager I’m assuming thats who he was came to check on us as well he didn’t introduce hisself as a manager so again I’m assuming.
I did not mention any of the above experience to anyone I wanted to see how the evening would play out.
Needless to say the food was great the staff on the other hand...
Food was excellent, however one of the dishes was not prepared correctly, to the their credit when it was pointed out, the meal was credited.
Overall it was a pleasant experience and the staff were very accommodating. My takeaway — I guess post pandemic all the dish portion sizes are to the letter. However, we pay for it as the pricing isn’t aligned with whats o the plate. For example, an appetizer of 6 wings was $15. Normally you would get at least 8 or even 10.
We had the Brussels sprouts, calamari, fettuccini, and southwest salad. Brussels are AMAZING. Fettuccini was terrible - the pasta was thick and stuck together. I got salmon instead of chicken and it was super fishy. Fortunately, our awesome waitress understood and switched it out w another dish. The drinks were amazing! Overall, we had a good time and now know not to order the pasta.

My friend and I had lunch prior to the Blue Angels flyover. The only negative is that it took a while to be acknowledged and seated, even though the restaurant was not at all busy. Once seated, the service was good and very friendly. Food was excellent. We were able to sit on the rooftop and enjoy the beautiful city.
I brought my son for a reservation at 8 it wasn’t crowded table and place looked great. Seated quickly. We were greeted and drink order taken. Once server came. A tall blonde long curly hair was our waitress she was nice but seemed “out of it “. My son said she looked and seemed “high”. She forgot that we ordered appetizers like only a few min after asking us. Then we asked her and another waitress for a Diet Coke that never came. I ordered an expensive filet which was delicious but the mashed potatoes and broccoli were not hot. It was still tasty. We had a neighbor table pay for our bill which was so nice. Another waiter came to tell us ( my son is at naval academy and was in his uniform). We wanted to order dessert but no one ever came back to check on us. It was odd. I went o hostess station to be sure our waitress was given a tip. Just an odd experience. We will still return. Because I’ve always had great experiences at the Gambrills location
Crab cake was very good and always love the truffle fries. Homemade pasta was not so good. I know pasta is tough to get right but the rigatoni was more like a dumpling. Could have used a good minute or so more in the water. Vetri in Philly has the best I’ve ever tasted. The chef could use a trip up there to learn what it’s supposed to be like. Overall a great experience, just stay away from the pasta.
Our waitstaff was engaging and provided the right amount of attention. Food was very good. The Smith Island cake we had for dessert was one of the best!
We were very disappointed, party of three. Our food was luke warm not hot. Although they opened at 11am, they did not seem ready for a 11:30am reservation. Our coffee got cold while waiting for silverware and extra cream. We had to wait on the bread that came with no butter and by the time they bought the butter the bread was cold. I have been for brunch and things were better. Maybe it was just an off day. I would try them again but would not be comfortable recommending them to anyone else.
Large parking lot, nice bathrooms, server was attentive (perhaps should have written down orders to ensure accuracy), food was good nothing extraordinary.
Super good drinks but main dishes were average
Wonderful spread for brunch. Ate upstairs on the roof. Enjoyed everything about the experience.
Food was exceptional! Just wish the portion was more! Service was excellent! Brent was awesome.
According to the open table menu they serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday, however they do not serve brunch on Saturday.
The server was good. But the quality of the food and drinks was extremely poor. We didn’t even make it to the entree.
I had a wonderful time
The Crab Carbonara is excellent. So are their mojitos.
Nice outdoor seating. Food was good but not exceptional.
