   I love the ambiance of Blades Bistro. It truly is a hidden gem. My husband and I have been going to Blades for about 13-14 years now for dinner. We love it that much!!! The owners are so friendly and all the servers know us and come by our table to say hello. It’s truly a family feel and the food is so fresh and absolutely amazing. Once you go, you’ll see what I’m talking about. You’ll want to eat there all the time. ENJOY!!

   I ordered the halibut, which was delicious and moist throughout. I have eaten at Blades' Bistro on several occasions and never been disappointed. The food is prepared with attention to detail and beautifully plated. The service is attentive and pleasant. This is a neighborhood gem.

    Casual bistro with American menu. Food was well prepared but standard, a little hohum to be honest. We couldn’t get reservations until later in the evening and were glad as it was very noisy when we first arrived. It quieted down as people left. The overall experience was average and we probably won’t go back.

    It is a small venue, but the food is always good, it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. They do have outside seating that allows a really good view of the sunset on a summers evening. really an outstanding place to be and eat.

    The most delicious restaurant in the Albuquerque area! Chef Kevin is creative and whips up culinary delights. Trying specials is exciting and most recently tried the halibut with lobster sauce, a melt in your mouth experience. From the ambience, the staff's warmth, all of the food -bread, appetizers, main course and dessert, Blades is top notch. Anja is our trusted resource for the best wine. Our favorite!

    We found this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and were amazed at the level of service we received and the delicious food. We have food allergies and they took such great care of us and made accommodations for us that we felt entirely safe enjoying the food. Everything we had was amazing!

    The chef's specials have been incredible the past three times I've been to Blades. This time, three of us ordered Mahi Mahi with with an Asian Siracha aioli topped with chunks of cod, Wow..perfectly cooked fish and the aioli was not too spicy and perfectly creamy, great mix of fresh veg, even baby bok choy, green chili mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the steak with green peppercorn sauce and said it was one of the best steaks he's had. Not only did it have a caramelized sear and perfect doneness, but the meat itself tasted especially delicious. My friends from Boston loved it! Thanks Chef Kevin and Anja

    Second time there and we just love it! Living up in Placitas we are limited in choices- but are so very grateful to have Blades in our own backyard. Amazing and accommodating staff and owners!     My friend and I dined early before a concert so it was very quiet when we arrived. The service was good but a little rushed. I had the seafood pasta and a wedge salad. The salad was great but the side for the pasta was spinach? My friend had chicken and the veggies were barely cooked. She couldn’t cut the carrot with a knife. The meals were very good but not quite there. They need a little variety in the menu. I love this little restaurant and it’s local ambiance.
