Blue Canoe Waterfront Restaurant
Regular customers. Both servers were attentive and were ready/remembered our usual drinks and food. Always polite and friendly brief conversations. Appreciate servers great service.
Very nice atmosphere, great location, food was excellent with lots of flavor
Was a good dinner had a platter service was very prompt
Immediate attention when we arrived. We were early for our reservation however quick to accommodate us with outdoor seating. Server was attentive to offer drinks and food.
While the food and service was good, we found the prices for some menu items were overpriced. We would probably not return as the menu is quite limited.
Incredible nice place close to the water. The staff kind and nice. Always smailing and helpful. The food really good, great presentation and super fast from the order to the table.
Amazing spot, service was fantastic! I would definitely come back!!
Atmosphere is cute and the service was decent however the food was terrible...very little flavour and freezing cold sitting by the window.
Be prepared for long waiting of your food. Looks like kitchen is on fire due to small size of kitchen. Waitress are line up and waiting for food come out kitchen. Don't know why didn't bring our soup and starters first so we could at least have something to eat while waiting for main courses. Food are delicious, in a bit small portion but just enough for small eater. A little cold on the deck where we were sitting even it's fully enclosed with heater on. Waiter bring us dessert for free because of long waiting, very kindness. Other than that, a great place to have good time with friends or family.
We were promptly seated for our reservation. Service was great for Valentines Day. They were very busy. Our server greeted us quickly and offered complimentary champagne in honour of Valentines Day.
Our server was really sweet and knowledgeable. We had an allergy and she offered suggestions of dishes that could be modified to accommodate.
The fish and chips were delicious and so was the Surf and Turf. A couple of pastas were ordered. The feedback was they were delicious but could have been hotter. Again, one of the busiest nights of the year.
We really enjoyed the bottle of Wenté Cab Sav as well.
Overall we had a great experience and will return.
Had a great experience at the Blue Canoe Waterfront for Dine Out Vancouver recently. As always the food was excellent and just enough to satisfy my appetite. The staff were friendly. It would have perfect if the temperature inside was a bit warmer, however. Overall, very good! Looking forward to returning in the summer. I recommend this great little gem in Steveston.
Food is great. The portions are reasonable given the type of restaurant
Heaters need to be adjusted for individual tables. Was an issue with too much heat for our table.
Good food and great service. My second time returning, first with dine out. Good experiences. The desserts were amazing!
The service was very rushed. We had our booking at 8-15 and were done at 9-15. They kept hustling one dish after the other, even when the appetizer was not finished they put the main course on the side!!!
We don’t just go to eat, we want to relax, chat and enjoy the food.
Not going there again.
Very nice ambiance and food. Staff was very accommodating and service was excellent.
I really miss their salmon chowder, that is the best salmon chowder I have ever had! However, the one served during the dine out event is not as tasty as the original one. For price at $35/person for three course meal, I have no complaint about the food, service and overall value, because it worth the money I spent.
The portion is too small. It’s not valuable. Almost everyone talks loud.
The Dine Out menu was delicious! The quality of the seafood is as good as Joe Fortes and The Pink Peppercorn. I would like to return in the summer when I can really enjoy the waterfront view (both Joe Fortes and the Pink Peppercorn do not have this).
We did a Dine Out Vancouver menu selection and wished the appetizers were entrée size and vice versa. Risotto was so good as was the chowder. The chocolate cake for dessert was supreme and the location was lovely.
Bests oysters on the west coast, excellent service, staff was remarkable, given that I arrived late sunday as the designated driver for two men whom had been drinking since noon and kept re-enacting the Connor Mcgregor fight over tequilla and oysters. Thank you to all the staff, including the dancing expo.
Went here for Dine Out 2020 and the menu looked nice but after our visit, the food was average.
We had risotto served with the appetizer and the main course. It was slightly undercooked and very bland. My parents found the portions to be on the small side and they're seniors in NB their late 60s, so not huge eaters.
The food was good, the view was fantastic and the service was awesome!
The service was very nice but the patio was freezing cold or boiling hot. The heat lamps would kick in every few minutes when it cooled down but in between, we were freezing cold which did not make for a good relaxing dining experience. The time between the appetizer, meal and dessert was really excessive. We waited 45 minutes after our appetizer to get our main meal and about 30 minutes to get dessert. I would only come here when it's warmer or ask to be seated inside, and when you are not in a hurry.
Good food, service and views. Good for casual or date nights. Happy hour specials are a good deal.
Hands down the best patio in Steveston! Food is consistently delicious and service is great!
Highly recommend the Blue Canoe!
We had reservations for four but got put in a back corner with no view. People with no reservations were given tables with a view. Coffee was ordered, it was barely warm, had to be sent back. Three of our dinner orders arrived but the fourth one ( fish & chips) took so long to arrive that the three of us were half way through our dinners by the time it finally made it to our table. We waited 10 minutes for a coke order to be refilled. Where I sat , there is a vent on the wall close the floor that was mostly detached from the wall. It is filthy and was leaning against my chair. Will say that the food was good and our server very nice . But overall, I am pretty disappointed!
New Year’s dinner, was poor value!
Both our steaks were chewy.
Service was good.
We met friends from out of town there and we all had an excellent lunch and visit. The wait staff were very attentive and did not rush us at all. The only problem we had was that we chose to sit by the window and we got cold as the overhead heater did not quite reach the two of us nearest the windows.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Meal was great and our server very attentive.
Plates shouldn’t be taken away until everyone at 5he table is done. Otherwise, loved the food.
Great food and excellent service (thank you, Steve!) Shared the calamari (bit on the smallish side but good), entrees were seafood linguine (opted for white sauce), warm niçoise salad and the steak/prawns. The patio has been enclosed since we were last there so there is way more space yet you still have the wonderful view. The heaters were on full blast so it was very comfortable even though it was freezing out. Will be back again.
Lovely in every way but pricey. Salmon burger and coffee $30.
The seafood chowder was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The mussels were delicious. Nice local restaurant with friendly service.
Awesome food. Even better service. The serving staff ranks 10 out of 10, every time.
The fresh seafood was delicious! A little expensive but delicious. The service was not outstanding but it wasn't bad either. On paying the bill our waiter had no problem splitting the bill amongst the 3 couples, even the bottle of wine.
Although I love the location and ambiance of this restaurant, I haven't had consistently good food here. This visit in particular my meal was terrible. Salmon was overdone and actually chewy in parts, so much sauce on vegetables they were swimming...very disappointed.
It was just fun and our server, Cyndy, was fantastic!
