Wonderful Food! It’s a great place to go with kids.
Thank you for sharing. We love knowing that Blue Ridge has something delicious for every age, and we hope your family will dine with us again soon.
The seafood buffet is exceptional value. Lots of choices, shrimps done several ways, alaskan king crab, snapper, salmon, crab cakes, lots of vegetable and salad choices, lots of sides and great desserts. It was busy but the room is huge so you did not feel cramped in any way and the food on the buffet was replenished as needed. For $45 this was great value.
Be ready to drop a big bill but the atmosphere, service and food are exceptional.
Very good, but very, very expensive for the choices and the quality. The Friday buffet ought to include a couple of choices for folks who cannot tolerate and/or like sea food.
Potato soup was too thick and barely warm. Raw oysters tasted bad!
No glass panels to protect foods on serving tables from potential customers couch or sneezes. Tables were not sanitized between customers!
In this uncertain period, foods should be served by staffs instead of self serving.
Omni must stay ahead of coronavirus! Proactive instead of reactive!
Thank you for reaching out. At present, there is no cause for concern at The Omni Grove Park Inn; we are following the direction of leading authorities, Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization, regarding COVID-19. Our teams are educated in proactive strategies to assist in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and have implemented additional measures to disinfect. We will share all of your feedback with Food & Beverage managers.
Very good as always. Selection was great. Prime rib was overall good but you had to ask for rare otherwise the carver just gave you the next piece. Bananas Foster was very good as well.
Fantastic experience all the way around! Will be returning for the view, the ambiance, and the food!
While the view and service were spectacular the food did not live up to the reviews or the expectation I have of the Omni resort. While plentiful, the food for the most part was either flavorless, dried out from heat lamps, or overcooked, especially the crab legs. The waitstaff was the expected well mannered service; however the chefs, and I use that term loosely, left much to be desired. They were unenthused, and the lack of expertise in making that Banana Foster was quite disappointing to say the least. For $45/person I can definitely say I did not get my money's worth in terms of quality but they certainly had it right in quantity. It was my birthday dinner and I was sadly disappointed and may have been happier spending less and going to a chain restaurant or a home cooked meal.
Thank you for celebrating at Blue Ridge, and may we wish you a very happy birthday! We appreciate that the view and service were spectacular, however we apologize that the meal fell short of expectations. Should you choose to dine with us again, we look forward to the opportunity of showing you an improved experience.
Foods were overcooked, and seemed lower quality. Being local I am comparing to past visits, it was a bit of a disappointment.
Thank you for being a patron of the resort and Blue Ridge. We genuinely appreciate local business, and your feedback will be used as an opportunity to improve our dining experience. We hope you will choose to return for the amazing meals you remember.
Always an excellent dining experience. We LOVE the blue ridge dining experience and come at least once a year. It’s best to schedule when you can see the sunset.
Thank you for your annual patronage. We are overjoyed that you always have an excellent dining experience with us here at Blue Ridge, and we look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit.
Our server, Jonathan, was amazing. He ensured our every need was met!
Thank you for your kind words towards Jonathan; he is a valued member of the Omni family, and he truly embodies what it means to be a hospitality professional. We hope that you will return to Blue Ridge for more exceptional service and dining.
Excellent variety and high quality food. It was delicious and so much to choose from. The staff was accommodating and pleasant. Will definitely be back!
Thank you for sharing. We cannot wait to welcome you back for more high quality food and attentive service!
Very special , we enjoy food choices. The interior space is beginning to look a little worn, but the windows and view are great. The staff seems to deliver great service. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your detailed observations. We are thrilled that the food, service, and view exceeded expectations, however we apologize that the same sentiments did not extend to the ambiance. Our overall guest experience is of the highest priority, and we hope you will choose to return as we keep up with appearances.
I think the desserts need some work. Every cake was extremely dry and the donuts has a greasy taste. Shrimp and grits were good and also the bbq cold shrimp was good. Service was great, staff was awesome. Not as good as 1st visit a few years ago but we will be back.
Thank you for sharing. We appreciate that the BBQ, shrimp, and grits all exceeded expectations, however we apologize that certain menu items were not to your liking. When you choose to return, we look forward to offering you a terrific meal overall.
Incredible view, went for the brunch buffet and had the best experience. Wonderful staff and service, incredible food. This would please anyone, definitely recommend
The cost was a bit high for buffet-style food, and the food was decent but average overall. The buffet was a bit confusing at first and I wasn't sure where the plates were, and the sheer amount of food was overwhelming. This is better than not enough choices of course, but I think the menu could have been reduced a little. Tables were really packed in, and we had to get up to allow others to squeeze by us so they could return to their table, which happened several times. Noise level wasn't too bad and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I wouldn't recommend Blue Ridge to a friend however because of the high cost for what is offered.
Thank you for dining at Blue Ridge. We apologize for any confusion you may have experienced and encourage you to return, to receive a tour of the buffet offerings by our staff when you first enter the dining room. Our guest experience is of the highest priority, and we look forward to better serving you in the future.
Over the years the food has progressively gotten worse. We use to enjoy dining there, but now the food choices are not appealing. The tables are much to close together and it is hard to have a conversation with someone you're sitting with. Understaffed with waiters, so they are trying to serve to many tables and clean them at the same time. Very disappointing experience.
Thank you for being a patron of the resort and Blue Ridge. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and have shared it with the Food & Beverage management team. Your concerns will be used as an opportunity to improve our dining experience, and we hope you will choose to return for the amazing meals you remember.
The food is good and plentiful. Many options for everyone in your party. Nothing was the best ever, but all was good. The ambiance is nice and the view is outstanding.
Went for a birthday dinner. The ambiance, food, and overall experience never disappoints. I have been here many times in the past. Consistently great service.
Thank you for sharing, and may we wish you a very happy birthday! From the ambiance to the food, we are thrilled that you have enjoyed all of your dining experiences over the years, and we look forward to serving you again at Blue Ridge someday soon.
Attended the Friday seafood buffet, found most of the food to be cold and or dried out to the point it was flavorless. As we had arrived at 6:15 we would have expected a higher quality meal, especially the for the price. Very nice dining room all be it quite crowded with tables and making trips to the buffet felt like a maze a times. The server however was very helpful friendly and responsive when we let her know about our issues with the food quality. She went above and beyond delivering a very high quality experience from a service standpoint. We were brought fresh crab legs by the manager, after mentioning the food quality to the server, the manager even came and found us at the buffet to let us know they had been delivered, but we felt bad to complain more about the rest of foods quality so we just dealt with it.
Thank you for your kind words towards our staff; we are so pleased that her delivery of high quality service saved your meal Friday evening. However, we do apologize that the food fell short of expectations initially and hope you will choose to return when we may improve upon the overall dining experience.
FOOD WAS COLD, NOT A GREAT BALANCE 3 EOOMS SPACED WITH PEOPLE COUGHING AND HACKING ALL OVER THE FOOD
Thank you for reaching out. The Blue Ridge is a farm-to-table artisinal buffet of three rooms filled with local food, and we apologize if this caught you off guard. The Omni Grove Park Inn offers four signature restaurants, and we encourage you to dine with us again at any of the remaining three for table service.
Food was fantastic, beautiful views, waitstaff excellent.
The food was excellent. The view was hard to beat, and the service was attentive.
I will recommend to friends but also warn them not to eat for a few days so they can get their monies worth.
It was on my bucket list and is now checked off.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal very much. Huge selection, friendly staff😊
Had a fantastic night with my wife at Blue Ridge. It was prime rib night. The food was amazing and there was so much delicious food that I could not eat a little sample of everything. All the food I had was seasoned and cooked to perfection. On this night I was seated close to the buffet bars with a fantastic view of the Asheville Skyline. Since I have early signs of Parkinson's this location was perfect for me. I could fill my plate without fear of spilling before I returned to my table. My waiter was polite and did a fantastic job. He gave me just enough service but not so much to interfere with my meal. Can't wait to go back for an out of this world dining experience.
Thank you for taking the time to provide some positive feedback. We sincerely appreciate that your second night dining with us exceeded expectations, and we will strive to continue this level of service whenever you return. Once again, if you have a disability that requires an accommodation, please bring this to the attention of the staff when booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs in the future.
This restaurant never disappoints! There is a great buffet and each entree is labeled if it is gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc. We especially love the holiday buffets.
Thank you for sharing. We are committed to our guests' well being and safety and always recommend any dietary restrictions be made aware at the time you book a dining reservation. The servers and chefs are then prepared to accommodate your request and will help navigate the menu for any outstanding offerings available. This is precisely how this service is meant to perform, and we are so pleased to hear that it aided your party. We hope you will continue to join us in the future.
The Saturday night Prime Rib Buffet was outstanding! I highly recommend it - even for picky eaters.
Amazing buffet dinner with every imaginable food from entrees to desserts. All while you’re having dinner with incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I would definitely like to come here again.
We had a great dinner. The food was delicious and had enough choices to please everyone and not leave hungry.
Was dissapointed with selection and tase of food. My wife does not eat fish or seafood. The valentine's menu listed food items other than seafood. They were limited and the taste of our food selections was bland. We could not get a reservation before 9:30 p.m. When we were ready for desert there was not very much to choose from. We were seated at the far end of the restaurant away from the food and this made it difficult for me as I have early signs of Parkinson's. Total bill for two was $148.00. We had water to drink. The total bill was not inflated by wine or drinks. The seafood looked good but my wife does not eat it and I was seated so far away from it I was afraid I would not make it back to my table without a spill.
Thank you for sharing. Valentine's Day is one of our busiest holidays of the year, and we apologize if this impacted your dining experience. We do our utmost to ensure our specialty menu is communicated clearly beginning in November with our website, and advanced reservations are strongly recommended. If you have a disability that requires an accommodation, please bring this to the attention of the staff when booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs in the future.
It was very crowded, however, it was Valentines Day. We expected that. The service was a little slow. Again, it was very crowded. Understandable.
The food was delicious.
Can’t believe it’s an Omni property
Thank you for visiting. Our guest experience is of the highest priority, and we apologize if we fell short of your expectations. We hope you will give us another opportunity.
What an awesome experience for Valentine’s Day. All the ladies were given a rose, and the food was 1st class. Have eaten there before for brunch, but they put out an amazing spread. Have never been disappointed in The Grove Park Inn
Thank you for your continued patronage. We are so pleased that you chose to dine at Blue Ridge on Valentine's Day, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more first-class meals in the future.
Great Valentines Day dinner with my wife. Food was very good and a large selection to choose from
Never disappointed in the Grove Park! If your in the area its worth stopping in.
The Valentines buffet was excellent EXCEPT for the salt content. The lobster bisque tasted like brine and the crab legs were extremely salty, a change from the excellence we have been accustomed to at Blue Ridge.
Thank you for your continued patronage. We are so pleased that you chose to dine at Blue Ridge on Valentine's Day, and we look forward to welcoming you back for the overall guest experience you know and love.
Well, I expected so much more. What I got was bland prime rib cut really small and only one slice, seriously disappointing desert, massive chunks of warm cheese, and oh yeah, all buffet. 2 people, 200 bucks. Never again
Thank you for joining us on Valentine's Day. We apologize if the specialty menu was not to your liking and have shared your feedback with the Food & Beverage management team for future consideration.
We went last year and it was a LOT less crowded at Valentine's Day. The experience was a lot nicer last year. This year, there were tables every where. We had a hostess that seated us and didn't give me a rose (like everyone else was receiving) and didn't give us a tour of the food (like everyone else was receiving). We were seated a long way from the buffet and had to snake our way through tight dining tables to get to the buffet. We won't be going next year. For almost $150 for two (gratuity was on check) with no alcohol, we will go elsewhere. Food was delicious though!
Thank you for celebrating with us. Valentine's Day can be one of our busiest holidays, and we apologize if this impacted your dining experience this year. We hope you will choose to visit Blue Ridge at another time.
