We normally love the Blue Ride Dining experience, but this time the quality and service wasn’t up to normal standards. I feel that Covid has had some sort of affect on many restaurants, and this time was no exception. The choices were greatly restricted from times past, the food was dry and cold at times, and for the money, I felt it could’ve been better.
Impeccable food & Sevice!!! Not to mention the spectacular views & friendly staff
Our server Carlos went above and beyond the call, he was prompt with his service and humorous in conversation. He guided us through the brunch stations and helped make our dining comfortable and enjoyable. The Grove Park Inn never disappoints with its views and cuisine, even things as simple as fried chicken and pancakes are next level delicious. We stop for brunch every time we are in Ashville.
The food was wonderful. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Amazing food, tons of choices and very attentive wait staff!
The staff did a good job serving with the COVID restrictions. The food was as good as past occasions that we have been to the restaurant.
Food and service was excellent! Views are always stunning!
Spectacular setting immaculate service and excellent food!
Great food and service! Given the dining restrictions in Buncombe County due to COVID they are still doing a great job. Awesome date night out-
The food was not fresh nor hot.

Brunch on Sundays is the best time for family. We enjoyed our time
Since my mother and I were in Asheville we decided to try out the Blue Ridge for our Sunday Brunch, and they didn’t disappoint. The servers were very kind, helpful, and informative. We had Keisha and she was very pleasant. I don’t recall the name of the host who sat us, but he was also delightful. The views and the food were spectacular, but I expected nothing less. There were so many different choices, so it is appropriate for just about any diet type. This will definitely become a go to while visiting the area. I recommend this experience for anyone visiting or living in the area.
Amazing. Plenty of options. I loved the Prime Rib, mashed potatoes and collards. It was well worth it, since our buffet included crab legs. Will definitely return
Highly impressed with how the restaurant handled the service during the on going COVID crisis. Very clean and professional.
I thought this would be an actual restaurant... not an all you can eat buffet. I loathe buffets, so we wasted time and money on this poor experience
Hello, thank you for your feedback. We apologize that the restaurant format was not to your liking and encourage you to return, to discover the dining option that best suits you. We recommend Vue 1913 for a fine dining experience or Edison craft ales + kitchen, an upscale casual restaurant and inventive bar. Our guest experience is of the utmost importance to us and we hope to have the chance to welcome you back in the future.
Excellent selection of seafood items, buffet staff very attentive. Server was very efficient in clearing plates and filling drinks.
The ambiance is good as usual. The variety of food and the quality of the food seem to have decreased since our last visit. Yet the prices seem to have increased. I used to love the blue ridge dining room but it'll be quite a while before I would return in hopes that it would get back to some semblance of normalcy in our culture and hope that there are new chefs coming on board.
Hello Brian, thank you for reaching out. We truly apologize that your experience was not what you expected upon arriving at our establishment. The majority of the menu is very similar to pre-Covid, however some modifications have been made to maintain safety measures. Please know that we’ve shared this feedback with the Director of our Food & Beverage team to take into consideration as we continually evolve services to meet our guests’ needs. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Simply Money- Best New Years' Eve Dinner my family ever had!
The food was way overpriced for a dinner meal and it had been out fir a long length. Would not go back there for dinner due to the excessive price.
It costs $25 to park even though you will be there less than an hour and you have to hike up several flight of stairs or up a steep incline to get to the hotel lobby. The restaurant is Buffett and the decor hasn’t been updated in a good 30 years. The views are amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was just okay nothing to get excited about and for the price I would have expected a lot more selection. Overall I’d give the meal a 3 out of 5 and I wouldn’t go back again.
Food was served buffet style, very long lines as there was only one server per station serving food. Food was cold, not good, and very over priced. The dessert offerings were limited and not good. There were no linens on the tables. Our server was nice and did the best she could with what she had to work with. Was very disappointed with the restaurant overall. Surprised the Grove Park would offer this as a dining option.
So beyond disappointing.
The food was fair and the dessert bar was dismal. The pies looked and tasted like they came from the local grocery store. Their "Holiday" cake, was absolutely flavorless and the had only 1 vegan option, which came in the form of a tiny tiny slice of "pound" cake.
We dined at several of Asheville’s finest restaurants on our recent trip and this was the most disappointing. The buffet format at this price point just doesn’t work. Some individual dishes were fine, others awful. Cold grilled vegetables. Unappealing squash cornbread casserole. Shrimp and roast beef were good. Desserts were a pleasant surprise. But for this money, I expect top notch service and some chef creativity. Both were lacking. Service was ok, but then again our waitress only brought us drinks. For $120 for two of us, I feel ripped off and underwhelmed. We enjoyed much better meals at Asheville’s independent restaurants.
Hello - We appreciate you taking the time to provide this valuable feedback regarding your recent visit to the Omni Grove Park Inn. This restaurant was listed on TripAdvisor as one of the top restaurants in Asheville. Since we were already staying at the Grove Park Inn where this restaurant is located, we decided to eat there. Currently they are serving a buffet. We looked at the menu and everything sounded delicious, so we made reservations. The hot foods were warm but not hot, the meats (chicken and pork) were somewhat dry and had very little sauce or accompaniments. The roast beef at the carving station was overcooked although it tasted ok. The wedge salad was good. The roasted vegetables were served cold for some reason. They would have been much better hot. The bread pudding was very good. The people serving at each station did not smile at all. Our server at the table was nice but spent most of our meal working on another problem at the servers’ station. Overall this restaurant was mediocre and it definitely did not fit with what we expected on an Omni property. We ate at another restaurant in the hotel called Edison’s and it was fantastic. We won’t be back to the Blue Ridge and I don’t recommend it at least not for the buffet.
We made a reservation for our son's 18th birthday dinner celebration. The staff mentioned it during the dinner and brought a special desert with a candle to help celebrate his dinner. Food was a good variety and plenty to choose from. Overall a good experience. Good selection of craft beer and wines as well as liquor drinks to choose from.
amazing view of the sunset with great service and food
Wow, what a let down I was there last year, and what a change. The best food was potatoes. The meats had no sauces to go with them the deserts were almost tiny and poor quality. We have been several years to see the Christmas decorations etc but we will not be back next year.
DO NOT waste your money here. Super overpriced and not worth it. I mentioned on my booking that it was my anniversary and no mention of anything. Very noisy and looks nothing like the beautiful pictures that deceive you. No Mountain View’s at all. Very disappointed
We truly apologize that we fell short of the experience you expected for your special anniversary celebration. I assure you this is not characteristic of the high level of quality service and hospitality we strive to maintain. Not enough servers even though it was buffet. Took forever to get drinks or anything else you asked for. Prime rib and shrimp excellent. Everything else mediocre. Rolls were refrigerator cold. Not even room temp. Very disappointing compared to previous visits there.
I paid $45 per person and expected a a good variety of good food. Instead, the selection was limited, the food was not hot (warm at best), and some tasted like it was from a day before. The staff were courteous, and specially our server, she was great.
To top my disappointment with the whole food experience, when I exited the parking lot, it charged me $25 for less than 3 hours. When I made the reservations, the hotel website stated that parking was complimentary for up to 3 hours. When I return to the restaurant to ask the manager in case there was an error, she replied that there was no complimentary parking during the holidays. Which is fine with me if they wouldn't put misleading information on their website.
In conclusion, the dinner is overprice for what they offer and the place is outdated. Will not go back again.
Overpriced. Beef tough. Food not fresh. Store bought desserts, like from Kroger. Terrible buffet choices.
Disappointed. Thought our reservation was for fine dining. Bad.

Completely forgot this was a buffet. The food was average and limited selection. Service was outstanding. The view should have been beautiful but the windows were pretty dirty. Not on them. Hard to keep them clean in the winter. We opted to pay the $35 for valet parking or wa would have had to walk quite a distance. The hotel was a mad house. You'd have to pay me to go back.
It was fine. Nothing exceptional.
Brunch was disappointing . No fruit unless you asked for it. Cold food . Bland. Only thing that was just ok was the bacon and omelet.

Brittany’s Birthday brunch
Christmas season lunch
Such a great value, we got a last minute reservation and are so glad we came, crab station was a crowd favorite, and the views were beautiful at sunset! We have paid far more for a similar style buffet that didn’t taste nearly as good, will be back!
The view of the sunset from this venue is totally worth it! And the selection of buffet items was excellent, but the quality of the food seemed a notch below. Having dined at similar level resorts, I was a bit put off by the noise level and overly casual atmosphere. It might be a bit unkind to say, but it felt a bit more like a family friendly cafeteria atmosphere rather than a 5-star hotel premier dining venue. In fairness, it was the day after Christmas and the hotel was extremely crowded and the dining room was packed. Kind of surprised at how full they were given all the Covid protocols. Still, the view is AMAZING, and the rest is very agreeable too. I certainly would recommend this restaurant.
Categorized as “fine dinning” $$$$. It was just a dramatically overpriced mediocre buffet. Packed with people not following covid guidelines. Many not wearing mask..hotel was swarming with people. Overcrowded. We cancelled reservation and left immediately. View was spectacular..only reason I gave it 3 stars.
