Food was good view was great sat by the window. We got there at two in the afternoon and we were not given a happy hour menu. We had to ask for one to get better pricing on drinks on our second round direct
It was my birthday and I mentioned it in the reservation. And no one acknowledged it. We were changed servers part way through with no explanation. I would not have served my guests the Cesar salad that was placed i front of me.
Felt frustrated with portion size. Previously the fish and chips was very large so this time we shared a plate which was much smaller. Seems inconsistent. Seemed under staffed. Couldn’t see a server for a while to order another plate so we didn’t bother. Past experiences were much more pleasant.
Food was amazing, tasty and enjoyed every bit of it. We had a lovely time.
Spent the new year with a nice dinner at the Boat house with my husband and our kids. Booked it through open table. It was a quick easy reservation app. Got in no problem. Got there no problem. Got Free parking, staffs were nice, & the food was great! So No complaints.
Food is pricey and the restaurant desperately needs a renovation. My seafood platter was $40. That is high for what I had as the rice was not well cooked and salmon was not that tasty. Servers are doing their best.
We went to support business for New Years Eve. It wasnt relaxed and enjoyable because the waiter just rushed us through.
Food was a set menu, it was ok. Not up to their usual quality, but ok.
Food was delicious as always and came out fast however obviously with the liquor ban at 8pm it kind of didn’t help the vibe of the night but understandable that it’s out of the restaurants hands
Very impressed with the “Open table system” easy to make reservations and great follow up! The Boathouse was awesome, the fixed menu for New Years Eve was diverse and reasonably priced, And the actual meal was excellent as was the Service! The view was a bonus, would definitely recommend
Not a great dining experience, as service was very slow and our dinner took forever to come. The food was okay, nothing warranting the high prices. My husband's Ahi Tuna was not cooked properly. My steak was well cooked and flavorful, but the salad that came with it was the smallest salad I have ever seen!
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. You can not blame covid 19 for these things...|I have had much better timely meals in other restaurants over the past few months.
The seafood pasta was terrible. No sauce, just dried out pasta with some re-heated seafood, no flavour. The lamb shank was possibly previously cooked, frozen and re-heated too, no meat left on it and no flavour. The service was very good though, not her fault the food was not good.
A wonderful dining experience. Food is excellent. If you love seafood, this is the place to go.
We reserved a table at the Boathouse in White Rock for our 34th anniversary on December 27th. It was recommended to us by a friend. Because it was during the COVID19 restrictions the restaurant was not busy at all. There were several tables that were closed to maintain social distancing. My wife ordered the Pacific Cod. She has numerous food sensitivities so whenever we go out to eat she needs to do some negotiating and substituting. Our server, David was awesome. He went above and beyond the call of duty. The food was amazing. I had steak and prawns. Everything was done to perfection. I would highly recommend Boathouse.
The service was excellent and the food very good.
Awesome Christmas
Waiter was good keeping us informed of how long before main course would be ready.
With two teens, it was a little slow to get the main course, about 60 minutes. We did hear another table comment on that.
The food was perfect and really enjoyed
Ruined Christmas dinner. 2 and half he wait. Steak wasnt cooked. Dessert was frozzen. Just a waste of 300 and my time.
Server was good but was seated at 730 and no main meal until 921pm!
Our second Christmas Dinner at the Boathouse- last year they ran out of some product - this year - no such thing as a slice of turkey - choppy little chunks - no taste - globs of dressing (stuffing) - sautéd vegetables - my plate was 3/4 full when the server took it away. I really was looking forward to turkey!
Wine overpriced - even for Christmas - $10 for a 6 oz glass of Peller Estates - one of the most reasonably priced wines available. To upgrade, which I did, was totally unfair. I love the restaurant, live in the area but Christmas??? Not so much.
We waited for nearly an hour for our main course. Our server said the kitchen ram out of vegetables. I was ready to walk out, however our server was kind enough to refill our drinks, offer more bread and apologized for the inconvenience.
Vegetables were so hard almost raw
The prime rib was tough
Excellent service & good food enjoyed while under Covid restrictions for Christmas dinner
The seating and attention to covid-19 protocol were outstanding.
I felt very safe.
Great ambiance, very careful with spacing, food was excellent and the server was very knowledgeable and helpful and great with our kids.
It was Christmas eve and the hostess took us to our table and didn't say anything to us, than than hello. She just dropped us there with one laminated menu and left us wondering where the other menus were. $55 each for a set menu. This is not the service you expect when you pay that kind of money. She should have greeted us and explained that it was a set menu and asked us how we were doing - made small chat. Told us to enjoy our meal and that a waiter would be right over. It was not even busy. The waiter was nice enough when he finally came over. The prime rib was good as it always is. My lobster ravioli had definitely been sitting for awhile and the pasta was over cooked. The ceasar salad was in a small ramekin that was hard to eat out of and it was not just adequate but the deserts were awesome.
Lovely Christmas Eve dinner, menu was delicious
No one at door for 10 min to greet or seat. No busy but Salad order took 45 minutes. Steak was ok but food had been sitting for a while in kitchen because Pepper Corn sauce had a film on it and was drying out. Again not busy at 12:30.
Ordered both steak and seafood meals. Excellent food and service.
Christmas breakfast 25 a plate , French pastry terrible, eggs Benny terrible, crab and shrimp omelet pretty good but wasn’t hot
Really disappointing!
Great ambiance with great food and service. Stuck to the covid guidelines which made us feel safe.
Excellent food, awesome service and just a great location
Great food, excellent service and super atmosphere. Bonus - free parking in White Rock until Jan. 31, 2021!
Beautiful view of the pier and water and the Christmas lights outside. Almost empty which was great, awesome service and good food.
Great steak and seafood. Great service. Great location along White Rock waterfront. Safety precautions taken as well for pandemic.
The steak was tough and fatty and the seasoning on the steak was missing on either end. The rest of the food on the plate wasn't very hot and didn't taste fresh. The meal courses arrived far too late/ slowly. We usually have an outstanding meal at this Boathouse but this time it was quite disappointing. It wasn't busy at all.
As always, service and food were both fantastic!
Covid regulation compliant. We had a great night. Would absolutely go back.
Food very tasty, service excellent, and waitress was attentive to our needs without constantly at our table.
We went mid afternoon and had a seat by the windows with beautiful view of the ocean.
Food was “warm” but still good. Service was average
Excellent night with great service and good food.
