Exceptional food and service as always. Looking forward to my next lunch there.

Really love this pub and the setting. Service was really poor when we attended - had to wait a long time for food and drink. Found it quite overpriced, and disappointing that we had to get both a starter (eg a scotch egg) and a side to be able to order one drink despite government guidelines. Will attend again but only for a full sit down meal or after COVID restrictions are lifted.

The staff were absolutely charming and attentive.The ambience was delightful for a miserable wet winter near pre xmas, tier 3 lockdown.
However big fat chips rather than skinnies would have ben nice guys if you can muster it.
Over all a most charming experience.

Value for money. Really enjoyed. Keep the good work.

Our first dining out experience since the latest set of rules and Boaters made it easy - tables are well spaced without making the place feeling empty, the staff could not be more helpful and friendly and the food is excellent. They also have a couple of outdoor heated tables for larger groups in the garden overlooking the Thames. Thoroughly enjoyable evening and we'll be back...hopefully.

Boaters cancelled our booking on the afternoon of the booking without warning. Fortunately they had space, but we were outside and not under the heaters as I had hoped, having booked early! The staff gave us two different versions of what food was available, an inaccurate description of the food, didn't bring basic things we asked for (salt for chips), and generally provided a slow service. It's a shame as it used to be a good pub. I hope they find their feet again.

It was cold. It had been raining, but we were well liked after and the food was good. What more could you ask for?

We had the best Sunday roast I have had in a very long time here - it was delicious! Our waitress was delightful too and the setting is lovely.

The last Sunday before lockdown 2 and the quality of the food and service are to be commended....such a shame it'll be 4 weeks before we can enjoy a great Sunday lunch at the boaters. ...hopefully!!! I went for the day's special ....delicious halibut and gnocchi.

Possibly the best Sunday pub roast in Kingston. Beautiful spot right on the river. Staff were great on covid measures. Look forward to visiting again soon!

Great service and tasty Sunday roast with a view of the Thames

Was upset by the poor functionality of the booking app, and the lack of knowledge by the staff on current arrangements. When we arrived we were told we could choose any table. But later we were told our table had been booked by someone else and we had to move. The app should be more explicit about this, and the staff should have known we should be in a specific table.

The food was not great. The chips with the fish and chips were massively over cooked and looked like they had been sitting there for ages before being served. The fish was not very good, it was over cooked and very oily like it hadn’t been drained properly and it was quite soggy at the bottom. The roast chicken was not appealing either. The service was just ok and it wasn’t very busy. The only good thing about this place is the views, it sits on the river. I don’t think I’d go back.

Had to eat outside due to Covid restrictions so it was a bit chilly but the staff were friendly and attentive.

The very friendly and welcoming staff served an excellent lunch for a family of five. The children's menu was varied and delicious. Everything was fresh and piping hot on a miserable wet day. One item on the main menu was not available as we were the first sitting and it wasn't yet ready but there is a wide choice..

Lovely setting outside, and every effort made by staff to keep people warm and happy. Heaters there. As always, staff friendly and attentive. We began to feel the cold eventually, but a coffee helped.

It was a great Sunday lunch!

We had booked a table at 1 and arrived a bit early, but it wasn't a problem.
We asked if we could seat by the river, and they made it happen.
(I recommend the far end, as it's also next to a rowing club and you can watch them train.)
They took good care of us, fast and attentively.
I loved that I was offered sauces and even extra gravy. I never had to ask or feel like I was demanding, quite the contrary.
I also witnessed how different questions and preferences from the table next to ours were also accommodated right away.

Our Sunday Roast was gorgeous.
My partner had the chicken and was very happy with it.
I had the Beef and it was the best I've had in a long time! Nice, juicy beef.
Yorkshire puddings are massive. And the trimmings are the beloved basics (no cheesy cauliflower contaminating the plate!).
I recommend the pigs in blankets as an extra if you have a big appetite.

The ladies restroom has tiny stalls. Really tiny. But the whole area is spotless and beautifully decorated.
Sanitising gel was provided.

Moving around the pub is different during the pandemic. But because it wasn't crowded, it was safe and easy to go to the restroom and back. Never feeling like I was interrupting the flow of the staff, as they were happy to give way and keep distances with no hurry.

I understand it wasn't a normal Sunday, as the pandemic has changed the whole process. But for a Sunday Lunch, it's a positive thing. The pub wasn't crowded or loud, so it felt cosy and relaxed. And as safe as it can get!

I will be sure to return!

Lovely bit quiet due to covid restrictions - so go if you can

I took my elderly parents here for lunch - Really well organised re social distancing and track and trace which made us all feel comfortable and confident with system. Food was excellent - my dad had the fish and chips; not a crumb left on his plate. Burger was tender and handmade. The service was attentive and kind. Definitely recommend.

Great pub and drinks with a service to match. Attentive and very personable staff. Overall and excellent experience.

Burger was very nice. Friendly and helpful staff who were taking PPE and contract tracing seriously.

Very nice lunch,only crumble was on the club sandwich the bread was to hard so i left it on the side,would be lovely with softer bread.infact we all left the very hard bread,but rest of food was very nice.also well set out,we felt very safe

Service was great even if a little slow. Food was hot and enjoyable.
They Made a small presentation to acknowledge it was my 60th in form of a plaque saying happy birthday with a small dessert on, lovely touch.

Really good food as always, the starters were delicious and a good size, steak beautifully cooked and the crumble was the ideal rainy day warmer for pud, although more custard was definitely required. Great pub, one of my favourites!

A table on the riverside terrace was a perfect setting for a lovely meal. Excellent service.

Peter and the Team are incredible! Lovely, accommodating and down to earth! We love dining there so much so that we’ve visited 3 times this week alone!

We love this pub but none of us really enjoyed the food. I paid £11 for a starter of scallops and prawns that had just two scallops and only one prawn. The server asked how it was and I said it was small. He didn't seem very interested in any feedback beyond 'fine'. Even with £10 off per person it seemed average value for money. I think we'll stick to drinks in the future.

Lovely Sea Bass! Please extend the 'eat out to help out' deal, that will keep us coming into Autumn!

Service was excellent, and there was plenty of outside seating.

We went on a Monday lunchtime when it was quiet. Indoors looked clean and well spaced. Food was good and reasonably priced. Will visit again.

Food pretty expensive and served in quite small quantities but quality good. Fantastic service from waiter.

The last day of the summer? Lunch outside in the garden by the river. Steak sandwich was good; my wife had terrine. Both tasty. Very impressed with the Covid-19 protocol - by far the most professional on Kingston Riverside.
