   Excellent Indian food at this long established restaurant. It is probably the best Indian restaurant in the LA area. I can recommend the Butter Chicken with its great sauce and the Tandoori Prawns, which you just can't find elsewhere. Fine service and a nice atmosphere.

   Bombay Palace is the BEST Indian restaurant in Los Angeles. Elegant, great service, and the food is OUTSTANDING. The chef has been there for 39 years and he is a master. I would recommend Bombay Palace for any occasion and phenomenal Indian cuisine! It's a 10 out of ten stars!

   Four diners--3 ordered vegetarian dinner, 1 lamb. Appetizers and dinners delicious--so many wonderful, different flavors. Server explained each item and guided us based on our preferences. Wonderful Indian food.

   Very over priced for the quality, portions and service. Somehow it was 200 for 2 people. It’s in need of an update. The bathrooms have been the same forever but it just doesn’t look clean. I don’t plan to go back.

   The food is great. The service is discreet and not intrusive. The shortage of staff is being put to advantage by not rushing the meal. The hostess was great helping us in making decisions and not pushing extra choices onto our list. We left fully satisfied and it reaffirmed out enjoyment of this restaurant.

    The restaurant was located very close to the SABAN THEATER where we were going to a concert. SO the location was excellent for our purposes. The inside decor was excellent and tasteful. Very quiet for a Saturday evening. The food was excellent though on the expensive side. I have not had Tandoori Chicken that was so succulent - it's usually very dry at all of the restaurants I have eaten in. However there was no Raitha accompanying the Biriyani, which was odd. Apparently this restaurant has been around for 39 years - with the same chef in the kitchen! WOW. That's unheard of. Bottom line is that I would go back again and I highly recommend it for patrons of Indian Food.

    Pros: Easy to find parking (rarity in Beverly hills), nice ambience, quiet, good food. Cons: Rather expensive (so value for money was low) - dinner for two people with no alcohol came to $137 total ! Complaint: They had a 20% service charge (fine), and _then_ was recommending tips of 15/20/25% I thought that was rather exorbitant.

    Enjoyed paratha and garlic naan, veg dishes - but tandoori salmon and chicken were totally unappealing in presentation- bland charred fish or chicken in chunks on bed of sauteed onions- no attempt to marinate in wonderful Indian spices or to accompany with red peppers, green peppers- add little color and flavor!and present with sizzling platter - after all this is an Indian restaurant!!- so disappointed-

    Food was great, staff very friendly even helped me determine the different foods on my delicious Thali plate (highly recommend, a little of each vegetarian dish that comes with veg samosa, naan and raita).

    After passing this restaurant numerous times, we decided to try it. We ordered the Palace Feast to sample their best dishes. It was fabulous! Also it was enough for three people and they boxed everything for us to take home. The Samosas, to start, were so good we could have made a meal of just them. I can’t recommend Bombay Palace more highly. They even have their own parking lot in the back,

    The menu is extensive with many dishes and flavors unique to this Indian restaurant. The decor is unique and interesting, we had an extensive and thoroughly pleasant conversation with the owner as the restaurant was not busy at the time we went, and we appreciated his guidance on some of our selections.

    We enjoyed our dinner at this long established Indian Restaurant. I thought the food was some of the best Indian Food in the Los Angeles area. I can recommend the Butter Chicken and the Tandoori Shrimp for entrees. Excellent Onion Bhaji for an appetizer, and have the Carrot Pudding with Coconut Pineapple ice cream to complete the meal. Fine service and a nice atmosphere, too. A little expensive, but definitely worth the money.

    It’s hard to find good Indian food in LA but we drove past this place and, due to the beautiful exterior, thought we’d give it a try. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and we got to meet the owners who were lovely. We’ll definitely be back.

    Having eaten in restaurants in India and London, this is the best you'll find in Southern California. Exquisite décor and even better cuisine. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. They really know what they are doing!! I'd make a dish-by-dish recommendation, but it is all excellent.

    First visit and was very pleased with menu breadth and, ultimately, the meal. The rice with dried fruit, saffron and nuts was really delicious. Huge portion—two of us barely ate half. Would definitely return.

    Bombay Palace continues to be the best Indian restaurants in LA, and one of the best restaurants of any genre. You start with a warm welcome, and proceed to peruse the amazing menu (with helpful guidance from the owner/hostess). The food is skillfully prepared and beautifully presented. And you can actually hear your guests talk. There are very few restaurants of high quality that recognize the importance of moderate sound levels. And the food is absolutely delicious.

    We had a great experience. The food was great the ambience was gorgeous! Took me back to my days traveling throughout India! The only constructive feedback I have is for the one woman taking care of EVERY single table BY HERSELF is to not rush your guests. She came seconds after we sat down and asked if we’re ready to order and we said we needed a minute to look at the menu, crazy I know! Then she came back a second time and we said we’re ready for drinks and maybe an appetizer and then she said order as soon as you can otherwise the kitchen will get backed up..Yikes! Not our fault! So then she came back and we ordered our entrées and we had a few questions about things and she quickly took control of the conversation and asked do you have any restrictions and we said we don’t eat meat so she literally chose every entree for us within seconds and then proceeded to say “let’s call it a day.” Then she asked me if I was Persian and I said no because I’m not..made me laugh out loud!! We will definitely go back, but I’d like to not be rushed to spend my money there next time especially on Valentine’s Day! :)
