Breeze at The Nantucket Hotel & Resort
We had a great meal with very attentive service tonight from everyone - even people who worked there who were not in our section. I would definitely return.
We had the most delicious brunch on Sunday at The Nantucket Hotel. It is off season with few options for breakfast on Nantucket. It was the first time we had ever eaten at the hotel. We both had lobster benedict and it was incredible, as were the basket of mixture popovers!!! We both had cappuccinos , which were masterly prepared! Service was wonderful and the room was quiet and beautiful. We will be back! Dining at the hotel was a wonderful experience for these two foodies!
Wonderful experience at the Nantucket Hotel. Friendly service and great 3 course meal to celebrate Christmas Eve.
We love coming to meet Santa at the Nantucket Hotel before Christmas. Staff is always very welcoming, and Santa is always great, he even remembered my sons name from the last year, we also always get pictures in the email. However experience at the restaurant was a disappointment. Food was not good. I also thought is was pricey for what it was. I wish we could have some kind of Santa experience without committing to eat brunch there.
3rd year attending the brunch. I ordered a lobster benedit at 12:30 to find out they have no lobster. Mimosa was not delivered until after the meal was delivered. Had to wait for coffee because waiter needed to help other staff. Plan to try White Elephants' brunch next year. Too bad in that past we loved it.
While the service and atmosphere was good, three of the six people in our party ordered the short rib entree. Apparently they were out of short rib so without informing us, they substituted a small 2 ounce portion of very rubbery hard to cut and near impossible to chew what appeared to be top round - vastly different than short rib. And it was refrigerator cold too. While we understand any restaurant may run out of an entree, they should always inform you and not substitute something completely different. Had they so informed us we would have chosen a different entree.
We went to Breeze during the Christmas stroll. The menu had great options, but the food quality was very cheap. We could tell everything was mass produced ahead of time due to the taste and portion sizes. Our meals (braised short ribs) were overcooked and very chewy. It was hard getting ahold of our waiter as they were understaffed and overwhelmed with the amount of people dining. Maybe it is better during the summer season, but I will not be going back.
We decided to dine at Breeze since we were in Nantucket for 2019 Christmas Stroll so we were expecting it to be very busy. With a reservation we were seated quickly. It all looked so pretty and festive. The service however was very off. They may have been short staffed for some reason since our waitress did not seem to have experience nor did she know what items were on the limited holiday menu.
The food was good but not all came out together and we had to ask for a side that we ordered that was never brought out. We will try it again. I'm sure there was some story to the lack of service.
We were extremely disappointed in the service (forgot all of our specifications and blamed her mistake on the kitchen when she should’ve checked it before it came out) and we also thought the food was as less than mediocre. We won’t consider going back anytime soon. Disappointing
Braised rib is not pot roast
Nous avons très bien dîner
Le lieu est très beau et reposant
Parfait pour un dîner en amoureux
First time at the Breeze, not impressed could be the time of year.
Thanksgiving dinner ...it was not even close to special. Bright lights .. no ambiance.. cafeteria style eating .. Our expectation was not met. The food was ordinary. Presentation was ordinary . Never again !!!
Absolutely lovely. Went got thanksgiving buffet. Food was so good!!! Desserts were were not at the same level as the food - but didn’t diminish from the overall experience.
We have very high standards and this dining experience hit everything. We were there for Thanksgiving with 2 little kids and the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable time. Decorations were festive and fun. The food was delicious and offered a choice for everyone even non turkey eaters. The kids buffet table was the perfect height for out 3 year old and he loved that he could “do it all by myself.” They spaced the reservations out perfect so it never felt too loud or crowded. Truly a relaxing time. We’re going to make this an annual tradition.
Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! The staff were welcoming and very attentive to every request. The food was delicious and plentiful with so much to choose...from charcuterie to deserts. The piano music in the background made the day special.
We were seated in the bar rather than the dining room..probably due to time of year as it was very quiet. At the price point I expect a tablecloth rather than a placemat that most likely was used by the previous diner. We both ordered dinner and the only thing warm was my husband's vegetable. They did try to accommodate but at that point I just wanted to pay and leave.
Great chef and sous chef.
Enjoyed our dinner.
Will be back.
Enjoyed a leisurely Sunday Brunch in a beautiful setting. Eggs Benedict was very good. They served complimentary popovers which were delicious and a treat. Service very good and very nice staff. All told a relaxing experience and a great finish to our vacation.
Had one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had !!
Our meal was one of the best on the trip. The combination of flavors on the plate was a perfect mix. I had the swordfish and my husband had the scallops. Cooked to perfection. Service was wonderful with attention to detail yet not intrusive. Dessert was a little disappointing as the apple spice cake was dry, but the cinnamon ice cream that accompanied it was delicious. Overall a great experience and we would highly recommend this restaurant.
Friendly atmosphere, swordfish was perfectly moist and delicious!
Exceptional service from all the staff at the restaurant and hotel.
Everything was perfect !!!! The location, the staff (Jim, Wayne), the food and the price
Short ribs, salmon with lavender and halibut were excellent, service was outstanding, ambience warm and inviting. Desserts-Boston Cream Pie and Creme Brûlée were good but not great. Overall an excellent meal and value
Great experience and food. Just felt very rushed to eat at leave.
Excellent food, casual but upscale atmosphere, good sized portions, fast, efficient polite service. Really enjoyed it - came 2 days in a row. Excellent for families with kids as well. They offer Smore’s for the kids to make on the terrace so while the parents are enjoying coffee and dessert the kids go outside and entertain themselves. Super great dining option.
Two ordered the salmon...very good. One the short ribs, also good. I ordered the line caught halibut. The fish was great but essentially that was it ... served in a broth with a few sprigs of lemon grass. Not an entree really! Basically a piece of fish! For the price, terrible! Why not some starch and/or a vegetable? Disappointed!
The decor and ambience is summery and chic. Lots of children and families dining and lots of noise! The food was the biggest disappointment. It was quite basic and just okay. I had the chopped salad (watery blue cheese dressing and not enough) and the crab cakes. A friend had the scallops which he enjoyed but felt the portion small and another friend had the mushroom ragout which came in a broth instead of a rich cream ragout sauce and was not flavorful. So rather disappointing but might try again.
Waiter put in the wrong order but worked hard to fix the issue. The place was not full and the staff was pretty slow.
The food is ok, the place is really quiet and beautiful. I do not recommend to order Chicken Brisquet, the Hamburguer it’s better.
Way too expensive for the food, fairly boring dining menu and the cocktail menu might as well have been from Chili’s—-when will restaurants learn to take their cocktails seriously?!?! Service was solid and hospitable but I won’t be going back
The food and service have definitely decreased year over year.
Pleasant and professional staff, great bartender, nice ambiance and excellent food. Menu tends to be geared toward adult taste buds, but good news is they have a respectable kids menu with popular menu items. We highly recommend Breeze!
Showed up 30 early, sat immediately. Restaurant had about 10 customers. Waited 10 mins for water. Waited another 5 no one came. Oh I take that back, my sons chair got caught up in carpet and server told him to move his chair as to not harm the carpet....really? We left after the water and NO SERVICE. Went to Rose & Crown and had fun.
Great food. Great place for families to eat.
Our waiter was so helpful with our grandchild and our needs! Service was quick and everyone was there with children. One of the few child friendly places on the island!
Fabulous experience. Lovely authentic Nantucket ambience. Refreshing breeze. Unlike other spots, the tables are not crammed together. The menu is creative and enticing ..... lots for every appetite. The meals were beautifully presented, healthful, and super fresh. Service was attentive. Nice wine selection.
Overall was really good. Service was a bit slow and there were some mistakes with our orders, but the staff rectified the mistakes and were very accommodating. Atmosphere was very lovely and food was inventive and tasty. Great experience for me and my family!
