Excellent food and service. Expensive but in this case we got what we paid for!

This is by far our favorite restaurant in the area, fine dining in the mountains. The food is excellent, certainly on par with any highly rated city restaurant. The service matches the quality of the food and adds to the overall experience of high end dining. The host welcomed us back which was a nice touch since it has been 2.5 years since our last visit.

Food and service are consistently outstanding

Excellent from the time my wife and I set foot in the door. Friendly reception, very skilled servers and excellent food. Great evening!!

Wonderful evening. Intimate dining area with wonderful menu. Staff was terrific. Not the restaurants fault but there was an incredibly loud family at the next table that made the evening a little less relaxing.

The food is good but it's a very bad value for the money. It's in a hotel, and I get that, and still it's bad value because the food isn't that good. They add a lot of high end dining service which would be good if the food merited it. But what was worst was listening to the manager talk to the servers about the average check price per table. Not once but several times throughout the meal. This isn't the fine dining they're shooting for. It's just a mediocre hotel version.

Amazing experience... from valet to bar to dinner... some of the best service we’ve had anywhere and terrific food and ambiance also. Wa’ll be back, and to stay at the inn next time

Great food choices - explained well by our waiter. They weren't in our faces too so we had a very nice, relaxed meal. One of my companions wasn't a fan of the wine list. it seemed to be lacking some good quality mid level wines and she said ones that she knows aren't not very much in a store were way over priced.

They seem to cater to large public groups which ruins the fine dining experience

What to say! The service was attentive. Ambience was perfect - quiet with soft classical background music. The chef’s tasters, lemon sorbet and lavender scented hot towels were nice touches. The menu was inventive and the food was outstanding! Definitely worth taking the shuttle bus down from the Mount Washington Omni hotel if you are looking for a more intimate dinner experience. Thoroughly recommend.

Played a round of golf before hand and then celebrated our 35th anniversary ... couldn't have been a better day. Scallops were awesome and so was the service. Thanks for a great day.

It was a very elegant dinner wonderfully presented. The wait staff were very attentive and helpful.

We have dined in numerous places while enjoying the sites at the White Mountains. This was the most memorable place for dining, period.

We had hoped to dine in the big Mount Washington Hotel dining room but were unable to get a reservation on short notice, so "settled" on the Bretton Arms Dining Room instead. We were very glad we did!! The smaller, more intimate setting was perfect for our wedding anniversary dinner. It was quiet enough for us to talk and hear without effort, and service was prompt, friendly and attentive. The table was beautifully set, including knife rests (that we'd never seen before) and the food was attractively plated and garnished. Our seasonal squash soup was garnished with chef-prepared brandied cherries and (also a first) pine bud syrup. Our entrees were scallops - a very generous portion - and the tenderloin of beef, both perfectly cooked and resulted in both of us qualifying as members of "The Clean Plate Club." We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend the Bretton Arms Inn if you are looking for ambiance, awesome food, excellent service for special occasions! Truly special!

By far the nicest of all the dining options at the Omni Hotels on Mt Washington. Cozy, romantic atmosphere.. top notch service. Had the butternut squash soup and the scallops. Great wine pairing suggestions at an affordable price point.

Excellent from beginning to end! Service was top notch and the food was amazing. My husband had the New Bedford scallops and I had the smoked carrots- both were outstanding and they handled my gluten free vegetarian diet with ease. They even brought me my own GF bread with the bread service which is very rare. Wine selection was good as well. We tried the recommended wine pairings (which we rarely do) and all were a success! Highly recommended for any special evening!

Food, service and overall experience was excellent. Only complaints are a noisy birthday dinner that took away from the ambiance and seating right under an air conditioning unit.

The setting is serene and the food wonderful but it is the service that sets it apart form other dining experiences. They make you feel special and want to make sure you have the best dining experience you can.
Everyone knows exactly what they are doing and I never feel rushed. All wait staff are knowledgeable in wine selection and the inventory of wine is on par with a NewYork City fine restaurant.

Bretton Arms Inn is the perfect spot for a special occasion. From our "welcome back" (even though our last visit was two years ago) to the end of our evening the staff could not have been more attentive. Our meals were fabulous. I had the poached lobster starter followed by the rack of lamb, which was the best that I have ever eaten. My husband enjoyed the Jamon Iberico as a starter and then the river trout, which was prepared uniquely and thoroughly enjoyed. We could not have been more pleased with our meal and the restaurant and will definitely return again when we next visit the Mount Washington Hotel. It was marvelous!

We had been here last summer, and were so excited be back to celebrate our first night as a married couple. The food from apps to main course to dessert were absolutely delicious, there is no better wine selection in NH, and the staff went above and beyond to make this a memorable night for us!! (Flowers, Champagne toast, Pictures, quiet secluded window table - Thank you so much!)

The Bretton Arms Dining room is a small, charming, intimate venue. The staff is extremely attentive. The food is always great. Dinner is wonderful but so is breakfast!

Very pricey! Food was good, but not outstanding for price. ($59 for rack of lamb).
Service was 5 star. Wait staff very personable . Meals arrived at same time and nicely oresented.

Everything about our experience was exceptional. The food quality was as good as anything that we have had, and the service was excellent. We were there for my Father-in-laws birthday, and they took a photograph of us, put it in a card, and the staff signed it. The chef also came out and talked with us.

It was truly a lovely experience. The attention to detail is perfect. The food is innovative and delicious. The wait staff is great and most attentive. We had not eaten in the dining room for several years. We regret that now, and will make sure to get there again the next time we visit the resort.

I just wish the entrees did not cost as much! The only other problem is the loudness of some mechanical noise during dinner- and then someone vacuuming in the next room while we were still eating breakfast.
Other than that it is a beautiful restaurant with good food. A friendly and professional staff.
