Celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary here. We're from outside of town. The staff treated us well & provided us with celebratory champagne. The food was amazing! Luke, our waiter, provided us with great recommendations. Would definitely dine here again!

Cafe Navarre has been a favorite of ours for years. We love the food and the atmosphere. We went, again, on Saturday night after the football game. We enjoyed ourselves. We had one issue, though, both this year and at our visit last year, that we must mention. At both dinners, we had barely started our appetizers when our server appeared with our soups and salads. Our soup was getting cold while we continued to eat our appetizers. We, then, specifically told our server that we didn't want our main courses brought to us until we were finished with everything he had already served us. He assured us he had not yet put in the orders. We're disappointed that this fine restaurant would not time the food prep and service better. We understand that both experiences were on football weekends, but we still expect the food, service, and experience we're paying for. We have loved coming there in the past and will likely try, again, but if we feel like were in a diner, again, with the food all plopped on the table at the same time, we'll likely look for another restaurant to try.

We had to wait a little bit, even though we had a reservation and there were other people walking in and getting sat, but I'm convinced we were waiting for the perfect server. I wish I could remember her name, she was incredible. She celebrated with us, gave excellent recommendations, was kind and speedy, and just made sure our experience was great. She modified a dish to make sure the meat was on the side for my vegetarian friend, and had excellent recommendations. The kitchen gets kudos, too. The food? Just delicious! Unique combos, burrata with cantaloupe and capicola? Chef's kiss!! Our lemon dessert was the perfect ending and cleansed our pallets perfectly. And at the end the bill was about half what I was expecting. Excellent value for the quantity and quality of food we received. Well done, Cafe Navarre! You've got a new ambassador!

Dear Danielle, Thank you for the wonderful review. We are sorry about the seating delay, and we appreciate your patience. We are thrilled your server, Heather, made the evening special and that the kitchen’s burrata with cantaloupe and capicola and the lemon dessert hit the mark. We are glad the vegetarian modification and great value stood out. Thank you for recommending Cafe Navarre. We look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Sean O'Malley Cafe Navarre

Cafe Navarre is one of a very few upscale restaurants in South Bend, IN. Excellent food and service! The wierd thing is...they have NO MARTINI glasses at the bar. Instead? They use champagne goblets to serve a martini.
Cafe Navarre2026年10月2日に返信済み
Thank you for the kind review and for mentioning Cafe Navarre among South Bend’s upscale options. We are glad you enjoyed the food and service. While we recognize and understand that the glassware we serve our martini may not be the common glass now used by most restaurants and that most would associate with a typical martini glass, it is however, known as a coupe martini glass which had been used prior to the V-shaped martini glass becoming popular, which we hope adds to the uniqueness of the drinks and our restaurant. We understand it might not be common any more or what you might be used to but we do hope you enjoyed your drink and we hope to welcome you back soon. Sincerely, Sean O'Malley Cafe Navarre
