Great staff! Jennifer, Cory and Beatrice are the best! Whenever we come in from Hawaii to gamble, we’ll eat there like 3 times out of the week stay. Excellent service & food!
We are pleased to learn your experience was excellent! Please come back again, soon!
The food was good. Me and my wife enjoy ourselves and the service was fast.
Informal atmosphere. Variety of eastern and western dishes done for a wide range of tastes. Oxtail curried soup, pad Thai and Vietnamese rice noodle salad and flat iron steak. All with appropriate dressings were very tasty, not to spicy for heat averse. Michael our server was friendly and efficient. We were seated promptly with reservations.
Wonderful! We are glad that you had a good experience. Your input is very valuable to us.
We frequently dine at the Noodle House and always enjoy the meal there. Service is always excellent!
Your review means a lot to us! Mahalo for visiting, and for taking the time to post this. Please come visit us again! We’d love the opportunity to turn that four-star experience into a five-star one.
Great food and very polite staff.
Wow! We’re glad you had such a wonderful experience. Please let us know if you have feedback you’d like to share with our team.
Good food. In a so so area. Service could be better, but it was crowded and a bit noisy. Reasonable prices, so well worth the visit.
Our goal is to provide you with excellent guest experiences, guest feedback is very much appreciated. Mahalo for taking the time to review our property!
The ribs had very little meat, disappointed. The service was great! Mike was pleasant & attentive
Mahalo for visiting us! We’d love to have you visit again.
My review for this visit has not changed much; I probably raised my overall rating by half a star or so. I had dinner there last Saturday night with my adult son and adult nephew. We had a good time. We had a lot of food at a very reasonable price, and that is all you can ask for. My son and nephew had pot stickers and chicken lettuce wraps for their appetizers -- we would rate these dishes at 3.5 stairs.....not bad, but not outstanding. My nephew had as his entrée the beef chow fun and that is always good. Similarly my son ordered the chow mein noodles Hong Kong style and that was also very good. Being that it was Chinese New Year's, I ordered the special menu for the occasion. It started with my appetizer of teriyaki chicken wings -- four small drummettes. This was OK for an appetizer. My side dish was deep fried, tempura style, green beans -- that was good and it was a huge serving! I was surprised. My entrée was called "braised pork belly and Chinese sausage (lup chong) on a bed of sticky rice, served in a clay pot". Although this description was pretty accurate, a more accurate and traditional name for this Chinese dish is "Lo Mai Kai". While this label would probably not be known by most visitors to this establishment, it would have been a better description for me. Overall I would rate this dish at 3.5 stars too. It had lup chong in it. But no pork belly as far as I could tell; but there were small slices of pork in it. The glutinous rice was cooked nicely; slightly charred by the hot pot, but it need a little bit more flavor; maybe some oyster sauce or more soy and sesame oil?? And they forgot to add the garnishes of green onion and cilantro. The missing garnishes would have made the taste so much better. For the included dessert, it was a pear tartlet -- custard in a pastry crust with glazed slices of pear on top -- that was very good!!
Mahalo for the review. We hope you will choose to visit us again soon.
It was great to see the same restaurant employees; food was still delicious as ever.
We are pleased to learn your experience was excellent! Please come back again, soon!
Loved it so much,we came back 2days later!
Mahalo for the review, Alicia! We will share your rating with our team.
Udon soup was so salty it was pretty much inedible. Kung pao chicken only tasted of soya sauce. Lettuce wraps tastes weird. Service was very unattentive.
Sorry for any frustration you experienced while on property. We pride ourselves on our guest experience and we apologize for your disappointment.
Glad I tried the lettuce mint wraps!
Was a great meal!
Great food, large family style servings, nice-casual, honey walnut shrimp, oxtail fried rice, bao with pork were all super delicious.
As I have said before, this restaurant is OK and "pretty good". I actually like the open, well lit, and casual atmosphere, but some other might disagree with me. I think that this restaurant is understaffed some of the time. I would estimate that in about 60% of the time, I get slow service from the waitress. Not because she is bad or inattentive, but because she has too many tables to wait on during the rush hour. This restaurant's consistency in food preparation is subpar -- Gordon Ramsey would not tolerate what goes on there. For example, one dish that I think is very good is their deep fried spicy calamari appetizer. While I have eaten it at least 20 times, it is generally good, but inconsistent in taste and preparation. Most of time the calamari is deep fried perfectly. But on occasion it is burnt. They also stir fry green/spring onions and add it to the dish to give it a little more flavor. Again, sometimes the onions are burnt. And the ingredient that gives it its "spice" is chopped Thai chili peppers. This too is very inconsistent in use -- I had the dish with none in it; I have had it with an adequate/average amount in it; and then again I have had the dish with too much Thai chilis in it. Another favorite dish of mine is what they call their $27 dinner special. Recently, it has been a seared rare ahi tuna piece, with some fried shrimp and fried scallops with it too. While I must admit that the shrimps and scallops have always been cooked perfectly (I have eaten this at least 6 times), the ahi tuna is sometimes over seared; not seared enough; and sometimes not even seared at all but cooked low and slow in the oven (I presume) such that it is fully cooked and even pale white in color. One of the additions to this dish is the bed of mochi rice it sits on -- the rice is inconsistent in preparation. Sometimes over cooked, sometimes undercooked. Last night it was just plain white rice, not mochi rice.
Great food and service! Everyone shows plenty of Aloha! We ate there 2 of our 4 nights.
Awesome service and food!!!
Staff was very friendly and very efficient!
We tried to order from the 8.88 menu so that we could try many menu items. We felt that the food lacked flavor and tasted like a regular fast food take out. I ordered the orange chicken which was mushy on the outside and was swimming in orange glaze sauce. I also ordered the egg rolls for 2.88 and they were cold and over fried. There were five other people with me and none of us said we would come back. Although the service was wonderful, you come for a great meal!
My mom’s 95th birthday. The brought her a special guava cake that was delicious.
Food was excellent. Your walnut shrimp is excellent. Would like to see some changes in your dessert choices. How about a jindui? Don’t know if that is the correct spelling. The dessert with sesame seed covering Mochi with black bean paste inside.
Best Asian food I had in a while
Stopped by when they had their specialty menu (4-6 p.m.). They offer four of their specialty plates for $8.88 and a number of additions for $2.88. Had the ramen and mapo tofu specialties along with the XO green beans, spring rolls, sake carafe, and mochi ice cream additions. Enjoyed all of the selections. Good value. Have a number of interesting items on their regular menu. Especially nice if you have a small group and dine family style.
We appreciated your thoughtfulness in helping us celebrate our fifty-eighth wedding anniversary. The walnut shrimp and lettuce wrap are always excellent and our favorites. Your staff is always excellent, pleasant and accommodating. Thank you
Awesome experience. Highly recommend.
This was our 2nd visit to California Noodle House in the last week. The food was very good this time but even better the first time. Both times we had the pot stickers for an appetizer and they are delicious.
On this visit we had the Beef Chow Fun and the Hong Kong Chow Mein. The beef dish was quite good. The chow mein was ok, if didn’t seem to have a lot of flavour but a few drops of sesame oil made it better.
Our first time we had the Singapore Noodles and the Beef with Broccoli and both were excellent. The Singapore noodles have a delicious curry and are a bit spicy. Just right for me a tad spicy for my spouse.
The service was outstanding the first time. We discussed several options with our waiter and he was very informative and helpful. On this trip our waitress seemed a bit rushed/stressed and the service was slow. She was friendly but inattentive.
The portion sizes are very large for average eaters, we had leftovers both times. Good value for the amount paid.
We definitely enjoyed both meals even though first was better. We will return and would recommend noodle house to anyone.
A perfect 5-Star experience - the menu descriptions were excellent for the dishes offered. The Hawaiian and Asian influence to so many dishes from different countries was intriguing. The Hong Kong Chow Mein, although traditional, was wonderful with the combinations of chicken, shrimp, carrots, bok choy, and excellent crispy noodles, and my partner's choice of Beef Chow Fun was pleasantly different with seared beef, onions, bean sprouts, and noodles. The decor is very fashionable, and the service by Beatrice was exceptional. We eat all over Las Vegas routinely and this is added to our lists of highly recommended.
Waitress told us she be back to take our order. Never came back we waited about 15 minutes then another waitress ended up taking our order. (Manager) we ordered bbq ribs: ribs and sauce were cold and too tangy. When we told waitress she asked if we wanted to them to warm up. We said no because we never return food. (Who knows what they’ll do). We also ordered spicy calamari (very tasty), shrimp cashew ( again not tempture hot only like warm cashews were extremely cold like they just took it out of refrigerator, and the special ahi, scallops, and shrimp over garlic rice. ( overall dish was ok). Need to improve menu and flavors of food.
So awesome we will be back
This place has its ups and downs. Every time we go here, we make a note of the dishes we liked and didn't like. Unfortunately, there is no consistency on the food. But one thing that we can agree on is the friendly faces of the staff and especially of our server Beatrix. She is always happy and smiling.
We were disappointed in a few of the dishes we tried this past time though-the pad Thai noodles were only so so. Kind of tasteless and overcooked. The kung pao chicken was more like teriyaki chicken (we knew that it is hard to make a true kung pao chicken) but we tried it anyway. Strike it off our list. The walnut shrimp and kalbi are pretty consistent tasting. The California fried rice was kind of dry this time around (we had it a few days ago and it was better then). The bibimbap was not bad--it did have the scorched rice on the bottom which i like. The gochujang pepper paste could have been a touch spicier. All in all, the food is good enough for a large group to share or for a quick bite inbetween gambling.
Great place! Loved the food and environment! Would return for sure!
Meh. This place has so much potential, but the overall food flavor was a bit off considering that it should appeal to the Hawaii palate. We had dishes that are pretty standard fare in Honolulu (Kalbi, Bibimbap, Chow Mein), but the taste was too sweet when it should have been savory, or not very robust, or just one-off in some way--like the cook missed an ingredient or added something not quite right. The Bibimbap especially wasn't great--had to add shoyu, and there wasn't much pork in it.
Hidden Gem
Excellent Customer Service and will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Ate here again. Read my other reviews for my review history of this place. Service is still good and I like the ambiance. But this past weekend my meal was not very good. My deep fried, spicy calamari was burnt and so were the green onion and chili accompaniments. The calamari is battered and deep fried. Green onions and chopped Thai chilis are wok fried in oil and added to the calamari as a spicy accompaniment. But this time they dumped the calamari into the wok with the green onions and Thai chilis and burnt all of it a little bit. And they really screwed up my flat iron steak -- flat iron steak should be grilled and sliced, preferably rare or medium rate -- this is how I have had it multiple times before. But this past weekend, my flat iron was pre-sliced and fried in a wok or something. It looked dark brown and was overcooked. I know for a fact that the steak was not grilled. I saw the head chef there too - I wonder why he isn't overseeing the work of his underlings.
The food was really awesome and the service was outstanding I would come here Again and recommend to all my friends family and coworkers 👍🏽🤙🏽
The service as well as the food was great. We always have a wonderful experience when we go there.
The oxtail stew was very delicious😀
The quality of the food has gone down a bit.
Shrimp chips a little greasy and the wait person wasn’t too friendly. They also didn’t have our favorite dish that evening, Bibimbop. Disappointed for sure.
We had a great time and the food was very good. We especially enjoyed the noodle salad. As always Beatrice was great. We would asked for her on our next visit.
Food and friendly servers, we’ be been there at least four times and not yet disappointed.
