   Beautiful restaurant, with good parking outside, and very polite attentive staff, but ridiculously expensive. The two of us had no starter except a small bowl of olives between us, and both ordered veal gnocci, which was the cheapest main on the menu at £26 (every additional vegetable is £9). When it arrived, the gnocci was delicious but was what is usually described as ‘a small plate’. So, gnocci plus two glasses of the house rosé came to a total of £111. So, lovely food, but arguably the worst value for money I’ve had in a restaurant for 50 years.

   We tried Casa Cruz after it was recommended to us. We ordered some focaccia which was okay but it was not freshly baked. The ceviche was nice. Our mains were the Cacio e Pepe paccheri and as an Italian I expect the pasta to be on point. Unfortunately the paccheri were quite rubbery. The sauce was good. The other main was the pork which was a bit dry. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations and considering the upmarket prices, we were hoping for a much better meal.

    Worst service ever Waiter was pushy on everything. Making comments on the way we split the bill. Serving wine all the time, especially to my wife who could only drink one glass as she is breastfeeding, that he kept refilling. This type of waiter that feel they need to be funny and are actually intruding and making the whole experience quite bad. We just wanted to leave at the end. Not to mention We came for my wife’s birthday, and it was actually mentioned on te opentable app. But forgotten so we had to chase for a candle. Food was good and the place is nice and stylish. Just a shame service is not at the same level

    Service let down by the lady at reception who could not initially find tge booking and was rude. Food was mediocre and relatively poor for the price point. I have had better elsewhere for the price.

    Really great dining experience. Host was very welcoming and we were showed to our seats immediately. We ordered some nibbles to start which worked well with the cocktail recommended by our waiter. We ordered the ribeye and some sides for our main course and the steak was done perfectly! No sauce required as the steak was full of flavour. Decor inside is also very impressive. Brass bar in the middle of the restaurant is very nice to look at. Overall, the dining experience was very much enjoyed by both my wife and I. We were there for Valentine’s Day and felt like we were spoilt. We even got a little petit 4 on the house after the meal which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to impress a date or just have some good food. Thanks Casa Cruz

    Good food interesting decor. Had two good mains. Service was responsive and helpful. Something about the place challenges it but couldn’t put my finger on it. Good one try restaurant but doubt I would rush back.

    It feels so cozy and intimate, like being in a beautiful home. The lighting is warm and the space is stunning. Great music too. I think the menu could be more innovative - if you don’t want steak the choices (although numerous) aren’t too inspiring. But i would still go back anytime as i just love it there and staff are wonderful too.

    Il ristorante e molto bello ed il servizio ottimo. Eravamo venuti per la carne loro piatto forte la siamo rimasti molto delusi.     Expectations were high as such a lovely setting. However I expected much more. After ordering the Dover sole I was shocked to find it was was way over seasoned with too much salt. With the cost of it being £42 I would have expected much better. With J Sheekey prices are the same however their sole is faultless. With Casa Cruz- you could not even taste the fish.. even though it was perfectly cooked. It was very disappointing

    they left us waiting for our table for an hour, they didn't even give us a drinks menu or any snacks. They took us to the terrace, told us to wait 10 minutes for our table, after an hour of waiting we decide to ask what's going on, they tell us they don't have a table for us (even though we had booked a table 4 days in advance). After some complaining, they finally give us a table and then proceed to tell us we have to order asap because the kitchen was closing in 20 mins. Horrible service.

    We have been to Casa Cruz a few times. This time the food was very disappointing. We had a whole artichoke as a starter and a beetroot salad both were bland and the dressing for the artichoke was like mayonnaise. The blackened chicken was very spicy and salty and the sauce was very thick. The filet steak was cold and the meat was very chewy and fatty in a bad way. The side orders were ok with the exception of the corn which was a bit soggy, all of this for 200£ With a beer and a whiskey is way too much.
