Ceviche of Fresh Fish

The setting was very nice. The hostess was amazing. The food however was not good at all. It was cold and not very tasty. We had enchiladas and the meat tasted old. The chicken from the fajitas tasted like it was cooked in a tomato sauce which was not good. We paid $84.00 and didn't even eat half of the meal. Not worth the money we paid.
Food and service were fantastic.
Fantastic as always! I’ve been coming here forever and never had a bad meal.
I'm a near-lifelong fan of Casa Romero - 51 now, was 14 when I first ate there, and have actually now known the lovely owners for about 15 years. It's always a pleasure eating at the Casa, and they've adjusted well to the pressures of Covid-19, with a pared down excellent menu of favorites (I had the ahi tuna tacos, which were fantastic - recommended - with a delicious red cabbage slaw; my companion had the always-tasty Cochinita Pibil & liked it). We dined on their small outdoor terrace, and noise level was only 'moderate' (vs. quiet) because of an enthusiastic table of four young women at an appropriate distance from us. Service is always attentive and courteous, and pricing is truly excellent value for money, particularly in Boston where it's been hard to eat well without breaking the bank for years now. Highly recommended (and I do to friends all the time).
Best margarita in Boston! The enchiladas verde was very good as well.
You can always count on a great experience at Casa Romero. Great food and drinks and excellent service. Nicole, the manager will go out of her way to make sure everything is perfect and the wait staff is always fun and pleasant. Can’t wait to go back!
Been going there for a long time. Nothing has changed- Still same yummy food, great service and fun atmosphere! Always stop by when visiting Boston!
It's a one of a kind experience. You feel as if you are eating in a close friend's home (More often now outdoor patio because of Covid). My favorite restaurant in Boston.
As a Mexican I find the plates a bit overpriced. Overall the quality is great, loved the decoration and I’d say is very authentic.
Lovely atmosphere with great food and warm, friendly service.
Casa Romero is my favorite place. The food is fresh and well crafted, and the service is above and beyond. I highly recommend. The tuna tacos are my favorite.
Food was bomb, ambiance was calm and inviting and our server so attentive
Really enjoyed the food - Service was excellent - Need more beer on the menu!
Great food and service
The food and waiter was fine but the manager was rude and rushing us out like we weren’t paying customers
It must be the pandemic. It was a little off from normal very high quality. Mr Romero wasn’t there, in fact, we were the only people there. We will try next year.
Food was REALLY good; fun atmosphere
Some of the best tuna tacos I've ever had (and I eat them in Mexico all the time)! The ambiance and decor are authentic and the service was fantastic. Only thing better was the tacos...seriously.
Well, I was hoping for some outdoor seating (not priority) and authentic Mexican cuisine. Instead, was served lackluster fajitas, with no sizzle plate, reheat rice, and spoonfuls of mediocrity - the reviews fooled me. They had only one wine available and one beer selection - everything else was out or unavailable - blame it on the delivery guy.... Not worth going back, nothing to boast about.
Best fajitas I’ve ever had, and best margaritas on the face of the earth
Excellent as always! Wonderful service and delicious food! We’ve been coming here for years and always love it. Thank you!!
Our server was fantastic. Some of the best tacos we had ever had! Great spot and location. 10/10
Server was fantastic! The food was quite good but the drinks a bit pricey for the ambiance. Go for the entree, but head to Capital Grille for the desserts.
Casa Romero never disappoints. The most consistent service and excellent drinks always make it a sure bet that I’ll enjoy my meal. Thank you!!
The food was outstanding! First time visit and I really enjoyed it.
It’s a beautiful space the staff is so nice and the food is always good.
I dined there on July 4th. The ceviche was great and so were the fish tacos. The ghost mango margarita was tasty.
The food was really good, but for the portion size, it was super expensive. $18 for only two tiny enchiladas with a bit of rice and some beans. The service was good and the drinks were really good
Best friends birthday and it was great service, drinks, food and more. Thank you!
We were sat late due to Covid, which is completely understandable. However, we were sat close to 8:15/30 (again the time is relevant, but not why I am upset.) We ordered margaritas and were enjoying them. The waiter came over and asked for our order, we said we needed a minute. After approximately 15 minutes (again not an issue, but relevant), I called the waiter to place out order. The waiter informed me that the kitchen was closed and apologized for forgetting to give us a heads up. We asked for chips and salsa, he obliged. Then we asked for a refill on margaritas and he told us the bar was closed, again apologizing for forgetting to inform us that it was last call. We salvaged the night eating at a restaurant down the street. I will likely never return and, but for my wonderful company, hated my experience.
Hostess was INCREDIBLY rude. To me and all my friends separately. So she was rude on 4 separate Occasions. Server, Vlad, was awesome. It was their first or second night with the Guidelines so he was a little off his game but still really great service excluding the hostess.
Our favorite back bay restaurant and by far the best Mexican in the city
Great service, truly kind and attentive, service was worth the dinner, the food was not worth the price.
We waited forever for our server to pick up our check. We finally stood up and put on our coats to leave. We found him at a distant register and settled the bill.
I have been a patron of Casa Romero's for over 40 years. During those years I had my bachelor's party at Casa and on many occasions my Wife and friends have also enjoyed Casa Romero's food and atmosphere. Casa Romero is one of our all-time favorite restaurants. Many thanks to Senor Romero for his dedication to offering a consistently high quality dining experience.
When we arrived there was no host(ess). And took a while to be taken to our table - we had made reservations... even though this was odd, the food was good. I had a tilapia veracruzana and it was simply amazing! The tomato sauce was spicy enough for a nice kick without overpowering the other spices ( loved the capers and green olives). My husband had a carne asada - it was cooked how he likes it- med/rare- and he said it was soft and flavorful - delicious.
Even though the menu tries to replicate traditional Mexican food, people who have tried food in Mexico (I’m from Mexico City) will be disappointed. The price was too high and food was not what we expected. Service was slow.
The food and margaritas are delicious and the service is great! If you’re feeling like authentic Mexican food in a unique, adorable dining space then you should come here!
Love this neighborhood restaurant that welcomes locals.
Delicious food, beautiful setting - small grotto with gorgeous Mexican tiles everywhere. Reasonably priced and helpful service. A+
