Good food and good atmosphere. Great waitstaff!!
Poor service and the food took almost an hour to come out (fries were cold at that point).
We were a party of 10. We were disappointed when we arrived to find they had discontinued the buffet. That was why we chose Chambers. There were only about 12-16 other patrons there.
Something for Everyone! Chambers 19 is one of our go-to restaurants. The food is always really good, and the prices are reasonable. In the front part of the restaurant is the bar, which is always hopping with lots of people and great live music. The back room is quiet and good for conversation. We tend to eat in the back, since we don't want to have to shout to be heard. But if we had a group to go out with, we may go back for the bar scene. It looks like a lot of fun, and there are people of all ages.
Very friendly and efficient waitress.
Best place in town!
Hey, food was pretty good and the place is nice with nice atmosphere. Service we had that afternoon was a real turn off. Waitress completely unpleasant, unattentive and failed to bring back appetizer plates or check on us. Also, the restaurant was not busy, but I had to go find her for check. I get that everyone has a bad day, but sheesh, don't take it out on customers. We actually had just come from our weddding ceremony for a nice lunch and were disappointed about being treated like an afterthought. The food was good, I would be willing to try it again some time.
Overall, we had a very poor experience. The service was not great. We had asked for condiments and the server never brought them until we asked again. The food was disappointing.
I took a few weeks pouring over menus for so many different restaurants to take my husband to celebrate his birthday. We decided on Chambers 19 and were looking forward to a great experience. In my request I asked to be seated at a cozy table for the night. When I got there, I was seated at a table in a small room that was by itself. It looked like a good spot, until the breeze got to be too much and I asked my server to help. She wasn’t able to turn off the ceiling fan and then informed me that the “quiet” little room would have people hustling through a door behind me, and that we’d have a lot of company. Thankfully she moved us to a much better location.
One of the reasons we chose Chambers 19 was a few of the menu items that were listed on what I thought was a current menu from Open Table. Those items were not on the actual menu at the restaurant. We made our selections and were happy for the most part. My husband asked for his roasted sweet potatoes to be well done and they were far from it.
It was then that we thought to check the app to see what we were originally interested in. We decided not to make a fuss and complain, but he was disappointed on his birthday.
I am not saying we won’t go back, but we may not be in a rush to drive almost an hour to get there anytime soon.
The night we were there the WiFi was out in the area and the credit card machines were not working (not their fault). Cash only and luckily we had enough. The staff was very attentive and apologetic. The food was very good and I would recommend.
The service was fabulous but for the price, the food lacked immensely. My chicken dish didn’t come anywhere near what the description was and my husbands tacos were flavorless and basic. We spent $93 and it was not fulfilling at all. Also, we had a reservation for a high top and were not given that. The person who greeted us just said “umm sit here” and pointed to a table - not very welcoming service. The only saving grace was our waiter...he was very sharp and quick. Overall, this place could be better but needs a lot of revamping
Food was fine, drinks were generous and service outstanding. What more could you ask for?
We came for New Year's Eve. I know it's a busy night, but the food was mediocre at best and VERY expensive. For $60 I got a teacup size of watery bisque, complete with shells that I had to pick out, 4 small oysters served with no accompaniment, 4 very small scallops over maybe 1/2 cup of mashed sweet potato and a sliver of cheesecake.
The restaurant smelled like fish and the bathroom was filthy.
I have been going to Chambers 19 off and on for 30 years. I am glad to say it has not really changed in all that time. You get very good food, served to you by friendly and helpful staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Some things just stay great!
Chambers 19 accommodated the lunch for our company Holiday party. They ensured we had enough room for our activities and to comfortably seat. Everyone there was friendly and accommodating. The food was good and there was something there for everyone.
definitely try the baked goat cheese! we had such a fun and delicious lunch from appetizers to dessert.
Diane Hunter was amazing!!! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! Our waitress was excellent!!! Yes, we would come back in a heartbeat!
We had a wonderful dinner following the annual tree lighting. The scallops were especially delicious! They handled the crowd with friendly service and a warm atmosphere. Such a special gem in town.
Great menu selection and the food was great!! Not a quiet, cozy place....lots of people and an energetic vibe
We enjoyed our evening at Chambers 19. There were three of us. We ordered chicken franchise (very good, cutlets thicker than used to with this dish, but flavor was great and cooked well), seafood noodles (very good. Pa led with seafood. The sauce was very buttery, so if you are trying to be good, maybe not the best option), and the bronzed scallops (very good. Sauce was delicious. Risotto was more like a rice pilaf. Some confusion when we ordered it because there is an appetizer portion called the same thing and at first the server brought the appetizer portion with no risotto). Atmosphere is somewhat casual. Our table was pretty close to others and the noise level was such that I noticed it and I usually don’t. But all in all, a very good dining experience and will definitely add this restaurant to our rotation and recommend it to others.
Everyone was helpful & friendly. Food was very good. Price was lower then I thought it would be for a Sunday brunch. Will definitely be back
I really enjoyed the buffet, the food was scrumptious and the service was well paced and friendly. I especially liked the omelette bar!
The only reason for the lower rating is we always eat in the bar and it is noisy. We like it that way. However, if you don’t like noise you can always sit in the dining room and that is awesome too. Our server was excellent and the bartender makes the best drinks!! Always an enjoyable evening. Reservations definitely suggested. 😊
I told my out of town buddy so much about the brunch, I couldn't wait to take him there. We were the only 4 people there at 9am and the only customers there when we left at 10am. I know why now. Upon our arrival, the waiter asked if we wanted a beverage. We all asked for coffee and water. 10 minutes later we got our coffee and never got water. The guy making omelets had a bad attitude and undercooked the omelets. The restaurant has taken a huge step backwards and the only reason I didn’t ask to speak to the manager was the hostess, who was very friendly.
Drink prices were very high. Food prices were good, but food wasn't great.
Funny and laid back wait staff. We wanted to take our time to eat and relax and our server let us do so even with us coming in within the last pie of the open kitchen. Great food and they allowed us to make simple changes to adhere to our gluten free dairy free lifestyle. Would definitely return if ever in the area again. Live music up front was nice and had we not been on a schedule we would stopped and enjoyed another drink at the bar!
Decent. Nothing special. Soup was good.
Too much sauce over scallop dish, just dumped on plate & overwhelmed dish rather than a drizzle
Have been coming for more than 7 years. Made reservations and dispite a very busy Saturday they had no problem honoring the reservations with no delays.
Menu always changes, which keeps things fresh. There is no risk of getting tired of the menu.
Louis our server was attentive, able to add some personality to service and listened.
Sunday brunch is always a favorite with us.. Chambers is a great meeting place. The service is always friendly, the food quality is good and we always leave smiling.
Food was incredible!
The atmosphere was so random in every area of the place, from what felt like an old dining room, to a tiki bar vibe. The food was good, meaning the appetizers. Ordered shepherd's pie for a meal and it was not good, tasting of old taco meat with some mashed potatoes thrown on top. The service was fine but we felt so rushed, every few minutes since we sat down we were asked about ordering, not even a chance to look at the menu or drinks. I was trying to have a nice night out, not time how fast I can sling back some drinks and inhale a few plates of food. Can't say I'll be returning.
The food was the good of a cheap buffet meal...poor quality, and everything was steamed/over cooked by iur reservation for Sunday brunch.
Food good. Service questionable - our second round of drinks never arrived.
Waitress was excellent. Food was delicious!
I thought the food was very tasty. The scallops and steak were cooked perfectly to my liking and it was elegant. They had a wide beer list, which will fit anybodies pallet.
Food was excellent and the staff and overall service was exceptional
It was the single greatest experience I've ever had. I've been to so many restaurants in Doylestown and none compare. THE FOOD. Oh my God. The best French onion soup and ribs I've ever had. The price is fantastic. The people are very kind. My new favorite place ever.
Good place for a quick meal and some live music. Not too fancy but ideal for a nice night out on Main St. Doylestown... attached to a great bar as well.
Nice spot. Fish tacos were a treat and they prepared a side of fried green tomatoes for my wife that was off menu, which she really enjoyed. Great service from Carly.
Same complaint about most restaurants—music too darned loud! But everything else was great—food delicious and decent proportions, great service (though we were virtually the only patrons) and good location right on a Main St. in Doylestown.
