Had a great experience here. The ambiance was lively yet not noisy... it was perfect & fun. The service was v good.

First time I had a bad service there. Ordered the ribeye needed a chainsaw to cut it. It was cook perfectly but was tough. Wanted to tell the waitress about it but she never checked on us.

We come to Chester's often for GNO and as usual, we were impressed. Of course with the fresh reopening it was even more awesome than usual. Thank you for having us.

Great food, quick and polite service.

Our server was amazing and I had probably the best steak I’ve ever had (the mushroom filet) and the beet salad was beautiful. My boyfriend loved the corn chowder. The staff in general were just really awesome, you definitely feel welcome here! I was disappointed in the appetizers but they weren’t bad-just ok. I will have to try some other ones next time. I felt very safe as far as covid guidelines were concerned, they seems to be very clean and organized. Overall a great spot for date night!

Great food and service but the music is pretty loud for conversation and although the restaurant was 1/2 full, they wanted to seat us right next to another table. We asked to be farther from others and were promptly moved to a booth with was definitely 6 ft from anyone else. Masks were worn by all staff and patrons and we felt safe. My husband had the rotisserie chicken and I had the lobster Mac n cheese and we both thought our choices were great. We also went back for appetizers and a drink the following afternoon and had the rotisserie dry rub chicken wings and the lettuce wraps. My husband really enjoyed the wings and I the lettuce wraps, but both were very messy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Rochester downtown area.

We eat there several times every time we come for medical care. Service and food quality are always great. Friendly staff, good, tasty, homemade food - very comforting. Salads, corn bread, veg. chili, soups, etc. haven't had a bad meal there yet.

We dined early and requested distanced seating. That worked good.

The only reason that I did not give 5 stars was that the 8 oz Filet didn’t seem tone worth $42.

We went there to celebrate our birthdays, we haven't been out to a restaurant for months so was excited to be out. The service by Chris was amazing, very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. I recommend the rotisserie chicken, it was so delicious. The decor was beautiful and tasteful. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely return in the future.

We always enjoy Chesters but it is not the place to go if you want dinner conversation. Even with less people due to the pandemic restrictions it is noisy as the background music is always at a moderate to high volume.
That being said I really enjoyed the featured beet salad. The flat bread was not up to it’s usual standard. Extremely salty! My beau enjoyed his chicken as always but expressed disappointment with the mashed potatoes. He usually raves about the potatoes but this time said they were totally tasteless.

Had a great first experience there. Decorated nicely for the fall. Appetizer and dinner prices seemed a bit high compared to the proportions but overall great service and experience.

Chester’s is always a wonderful way to end a long day at Mayo or to celebrate a great day with family. The restaurant offers a warm and welcoming ambiance no matter how you might enter the room. Nothing is fussy but everything is top notch. Our fav will always be the walleye but the options are just as great.
For the past twelve years our first choice in Rochester, with lots of great choices, will always be Chester’s. We suggest that you give it a try for sure!

I purchased a Ribeye for $39, unknowingly to me this didn't include any sides. Asparagus was an additional $6 and a small cup of soup was $8. This totaled to a $54 ribeye dinner. The real problem was the quality of the food, the ribeye tasted like a standard $18-$22 ribeye which comes with all sides. Very disappointed in the cost to quality, I was hoping for a Ribeye close to what I had from Malones in Lexington KY which cost me $65 with all sides. The ribeye from Malones was so much better I can't even compare.

As always, our brunch was delicious.
Molly provided attentive service as our waitress.

It would be an improved experience if the outdoor patio heaters were functional. Food outstanding.

Best place for Sunday brunch every Sunday. Unless out of town, we will be there.

We are staying here for cancer treatments and wanted a special brunch before the treatments start. We were delighted with the design, decor and ambiance. Our server, Macy, was outstanding!! And then the food! It was perfect- all 4 of us thought it was DELICIOUS!!
We will be here 2 weeks and look forward to a return visit for dinner. We highly recommend Chester’s.
