   I went there for lunch with my wife on my birthday. The food and the presentation was 1st rate. If you want to go to Coronado, I recommend you skip the Hotel Del and go to Chez Loma.

   My first visit to this lovely establishment, and it will not be my last! Everything was divine, great service, delicious food, beautiful, ambience, so easy, breezy and restful and peaceful to enjoy a delicious meal in this environment, and with the great staff of servers.     We had outdoor seating which was great because the weather was cooperative. The menu was innovative, the food was excellent, and the staff was attentive. We will definitely try and return to Chez Loma for brunch the next time we are visiting San Diego.

    Tyler our server was great. We sat in a little alcove facing the kitchen curtain so our view was of the kitchen and servers going in and out. Our other view was of the window outside however there were large, dead mosquitos on the window sills which was off putting. Overall the food was great - only the pesto bucatini was disappointing as it lacked flavor. The miso spinach was delicious as was the salmon risotto and the lamb ragu. The chicken Milanese was good - huge portion. More sauce would be good for a portion that size

    I had duck and cream spinach. It was excellent. My wife had steak and asparagus. It was good, not great. The french onion soup was above average. Banana bread pudding was excellent. Great wait staff! Very professional and on point. Good ambience. It was expensive, but we had fun.

    Went here for Sunday brunch. Service was painfully slow. Food was ok, not special. We had a duck enchilada, eggs and a burger. The enchilada was tasty but had gristle in it which, for $23 is really not acceptable. The beignets were good but pricey at $15. There are much better places in Coronado. I will not be back.

    Our first time here. We went for the reopening of their brunch on April 22nd. We both had duck enchiladas which of course are not super French, but they were delicious, really delicious. The staff (I would call it more of a team) was incredibly nice, accommodating and friendly. We 100% will check them out for dinner now which is a more French focused menu.

    Sat at a table in the bar. The bartender/server was attentive and knowledgeable about making cocktails and wine pairings. Unfortunately no boeuf bourguignon (our standard selection) but had the saffron salmon risotto which was delicious. The chocolate mousse tiramisu was tasty and fun.

    The food and ambiance are outstanding. Rachid was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. We had the delicious spring salad, the chicken w/ broccolini as a side and the Citrus Olive cake for desert.     My mom and I came to Chez Loma for an early dinner after a matinee at Lam’b’s Players Theater. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was impeccable, and everybody was so friendly. The wine they recommended was delicious. I had the filet mignon, and my mother had the duck and both of us were so happy with our meals. I chose the filet because somebody else had written that it was the best filet they’ve ever had. And I can tell you, I did not disappoint… cooked exactly as I liked, super tender and flavorful, and everything was seasoned perfectly. We finished off our meal by sharing the olive oil cake, which was beyond amazing. It comes warm with fresh whipped cream and strawberries. It’s so good that I would go back just for dessert. I also had a decaf coffee which arrived more like an espresso and was divine. I should’ve taken pictures throughout the meal, but I was too busy enjoying it. I will definitely be back!

    Very kind staff, lovely environment. They forgot my meal, I didn’t get it until I asked 3 times and it arrived 45 min late after my friends had finished their meals and there was no discount or mention of taking care of it. Felt like a missed opportunity for them to make it right.
