Made a reservation for 8 people weeks in advance. Tried to call ahead to make sure there was inside seating since the temperature was 110 at the time of the reservation. I could not reach anyone by phone. When we arrived, they told us they could not accommodate our reservation. They ultimately had us wait until the current guests left to seat us inside but it did not create a good experience. The server was kind and helpful once we were seated.

We ate at Chi Chi 4 times. If it wasn’t for hotel credit, we probably wouldn’t have returned. Service was attentive but food was mediocre at best. However, some items were inedible and reminiscent of frozen food at the elevated prices.

This was definitely a one and done for us! They have a limited menu and managed to run out of a key ingredient, artichokes. The server while friendly got a lot of stuff wrong. Two of the three burgers had stuff on it that shouldn’t have been on it. One friend got the wrong cocktail. And the kitchen was slow. Environment was dirty and the ceilings are low. The music was way too loud. The food was very mediocre and not worth the amount they are charging. They charged us 5% surcharge for employee health and wellness on top of the 20% gratuity. We refused to pay our surcharge. This was probably the worst restaurant I’ve eaten at while living in Palm Springs.
