Chianti Il Ristorante
Beef tenderloin, choice of brandied green peppercorn sauce or gorgonzola fondue
Thin spaghetti, filet bolognese sauce, touch of milk
Penne with wilted spinach aglio e olio, gorgonzola, crushed red pepper flakes, breadcrumbs, toasted almonds
Outstanding service and quality food......a great dining experience!
Outstanding as always. Neighborhood gem. Been eating there regularly since it opened.
First time there. I’ll definitely be back
Always love the ambience here. Service, as usual, was outstanding, with Kevin making helpful suggestions for wine. Chianti is our go to restaurant for any celebration.
When your waitress recites the Specials for the evening , (all 5), describing each dish and its preparation, all by memory, you know that you are in good hands. The house salad was a taste delight, both fresh and flavorful. Braised short ribs......wow. It could not have been better. The dining rooms have always been a bit spirited when it comes to the noise level, however, it does seem to fade into the background as you enjoy your meal. The service, I would put against any 5 star.
We've been eating in Saratoga for years often on business and have watched this Restaurant (now a group of restaurants) mature from it's original location to the current. We make sure to eat here at least once per visit and often visit Forno or Bocca as well. The food is a result of someone who cares deeply about food and has the restaurant expertise to deliver consistency. That's the dry analytical view. The romantic view is that Chianti is a magical experience. Innovative and welcoming. The wait staff are invariable pros. and know how to provide attentiveness without interrupting the flow of your meal. Yeah it's pricey. What isn't? Live life fully and enjoy this gem.
Chianti is always a favorite for my wife and I and I often take clients there as well. On this particular night, the appetizers and entrees took a LONG time to arrive. The waitress had to apologize in between each course. We're patient people and were enjoying the wine, so I would have likely ignored this, but my wife ordered the shrimp and lobster pasta and there were 4 shrimp and not one piece of lobster in it. The waitress (who was lovely) explained that the lobster was flavoring the sauce, however, for a $30 pasta dish that has lobster in the title, it should have half a lobster's amount of meat in it. It didn't ruin our $150 dinner for two, but it didn't make it feel like an exceptional value. We'll be back, but will be sure to ask more questions about the menu to make sure there are no surprises.
We had 8 people. Service was wonderful and the food was great. Several of our party were foodies from NYC. They agreed.
This is one of our favorites! We love everything about this restaurant from the food to the service and ambiance!
Excellent and gracious service. Our dinners were perfect.
The personalized service provided at Chianti is unmatched in the Upstate New York restaurant scene. The food is not only delicious and beautifully presented but completely authentic. This is not your 'spaghetti and meatballs' knockoff Italian food. Chef Fabrizio Bazzani prepares real Italian classics like octopus, sardines, and aged ricotta while maitre'd Pietro pairs each course with wine selections from their vast menu. You cannot miss this restaurant!
Super fun, consistently great food and service!
Outstanding as usual - my favorite restaurant in town!
Staff were very attentive to our needs and requests throughout the evening. Food was spot on I was very pleased. I look forward to my next visit.
Loved it all, from decor to ambiance, service and portions size. Risotto with truffle oil was phenomenal!
This was a Valentine’s dinner. Everything was exceptional. I cannot rate this a true 5 stars because that would mean there is no room for improvements, but it was certainly greater than a 4.5 stars so I rounded up. Service was great, our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered the Branzino, it was good but had a few too many bones left on the inside for my liking, nevertheless delicious. My biggest problem was our appetizer cost more than the entree. With a bottle of wine, one app and 2 entrees the total bill (before tip) was about $125. I would recommend but know it’s a bit pricey.
Even though I expect a lot whenever I go, they somehow manage to continue to make it better each time. The food is always great but this last time it again exceeded expectations. A real "wow" meal that made a special event for St. Valentine's Day weekend even more memorable for both of us. Cannot recommend highly enough.
The place we go for every Valentine's and Anniversary, they never disappoint!
We came from out of town for a dance festival, and had reservations for dinner on Valentine’s Day. As you can imagine, the restaurant was quite busy. Despite that, the service was superb and the food exquisite. The duck was to die for - the cherries were amazing - and my husband had the tenderloin which was done to perfection. The waiter recommended a very good wine that paired well with both meals. Chianti’s is definitely worth a stop. Just be sure to make reservations.
EVerything was absolutely perfect!! The waitress was friendly and helpful with our food selections. The meal was beyond delicious. Will return.
Brought our daughter and her friends to celebrate her 18th birthday, Everyone was impressed with the food and the service.
An exceptional meal! The Filetto with Gorgonzola fondue was absolutely delicious, and the server made this single female diner feel very welcome!
The staff and GM were amazing great food and excellent experience
I go here often and will continue to go! It’s my go to place I’ve never had a bad experience. Understand this: it can be loud depending on when you go so just be prepared for that, obviously the place is pricy but you get what you pay for, quality food and service. I recommend the specials because you’re gonna go back and try everything else on the menu.
We had a wonderful evening!
Noise level is over the top way too loud, food and service excellent
Our favorite "special occasion" restaurant, didn't disappoint. A fantastic meal, great service, cozy atmosphere, just the right level of activity/conversation around us. Thank you, Chianti, for another great experience.
Chianti, like the other DZ restaurants, is consistently excellent. Nice wine choices, ranging from solid and affordable reds to jaw-droppingly expensive selections. The standard menu has a wide selection of never-fail entrees, and there were 3 tempting specials ( I opted for linguine and clams, which was perfect). We had as good a dinner as expected, and came away very satisfied. After eating at Chianti for20 years, in multiple locations, it's still a great place. And, yes, it's too noisy, but if you can handle the boisterous conversations, a good meal is guaranteed, and the is no band playing, thanks be!
Amazing dinner. Great selections.
Service very attentive and timely.
Food was incredible and presentation was equally as good. The atmosphere is good however it is noisy .
We had a terrific meal at Chianti’s. This is one of our go to restaurants in Saratoga. Erica was one of the best, most pleasant waitresses we have ever had. She made the meal!
The bartender made a great old fashioned. And the filet was amazing as always. My mother got the Boar special and it was awesome. I don’t think they can do anything wrong
Great experience but would have liked more veggies served with my meal.
Great waiter. Even asked if we had food allergies
We both had scallop appetizer special which was large
Enough as entree. Delicious
My only complaint is wine selection for Sauvignon Blanc
Is terrible. Any chance you could consider stocking something from New Zealand? Kim Crawford is good mid price suggestion.
Food was great and the service was amazing. They all work together nicely.
Specials were fantastic!!
Awesome food, service, value.
Food was good, not great , but good. Just like a lot of other reviewers said it is VERY noisy. Be prepared to yell the whole meal.
We arrived a little early for our reservations but they were able to sit us right away. I had requested a corner table with my Open Table reservation and they obliged. Our waiter was polite, professional and knowledgeable. We love Chianti for their service and wonderful food. This visit was no different. We will definitely return.
Great food, great service, great ambiance and great company....will be sure to go back to try another dish.
The filet mignon melted in our mouth. It was awesome. Best filet in the Saratoga area
