Chickie's & Pete's - Audubon PA
This is our 2nd experience in less than month of poor service. Tonight was just a colossal of no follow up. Got regular fries instead of crab fries but asked for seasoning on side had to ask 4 times after fries were delivered. Meals served in an efficient time after it took awhile for server to return to take order. But hamburger was way over cooked 7 yr old said don’t think a dog would eat this. Hot roast beef I get all the time at S Philly location and it’s great. Well here in Audubon it’s a freakin soggy mess. Btw why put the pickles at bottom of basket and put sandwich on top so now you have soggy bread that doesn’t stay together with the moisture from the pickles and hot roast beef. So my kids needed refills server said they would have to be patient because she was busy. Well it took about 10 minutes for a refill and when they order a refill I asked for a Miller lite. She responded would I like a personal pitcher I said yes. She came back 5 mins later asking again what beer I ordered to many sports bar that are 200% better than this lousy Chickie’s
Always a good time very good service!
Fries are good. Typical bar food good service, from our waitress.
The olace is not clean and the bathroom was disgusting.
Absolutely loved our meals and service. We were seated quickly and served fast! Food was piping hot and exceptionally good! Highly recommend the dry rub wings!
Server was awesome! Valentine’s menu pasta bake was excellent!
Dinner with my daughters
The food was marginal for the cost. I couldn’t get much out of the crab legs.
This location continues to disappoint. Starting with denying that I even made an open table reservation (the assistant manager essentially arguing with me for several minutes about how it wasn’t possible for me to have a reservation, rather than listening to me, viewing my app with the reservation clearly noted, and seating us). It went down hill from there with too many issues to note.
The service was very poor. Our waitress took our order and we didn't see her most of the night. There were 6 people in our party. When our food came, 5 meals came out. I had to flag down another waitress to help us get the 6th meal. When it was time to pay, we asked to have it split evenly between 5 debit cards; 4 of the cards were the same price and the 5 card was charged double the price. We then needed to have someone get our waitress for us to correct the error. My son has to watch is account to make sure that he was charged correctly because we did not have much confidence that our waitress made the correction properly.
I get that this is a sports bar and wasn't expecting fancy food, but the sandwich I got was really sub-par. Guess you wouldn't notice if you were hanging out watching a game. However it turns out the Sunday I went was a "bye" week for the local Eagles so the place was basically deserted (maybe 3 other people besides the staff). Guess that supports that people don't come here for the food.
Much better service this time than last
We had to wait25 minutes till server arrived at table.
Good selection and I got to pick and choose things that really were not complimentray to each other, crab fries were tasty but I expected more....over all a good time
I have been many times to this Chickes. It is becoming more and more hit or miss. We arrived at 5:40. One waitress to work the whole side of the building. I asked if I could have the all you can eat deal that started at 6. After she checked they said yes. Awesome. But since she was so busy she couldn’t keep our beverages full let alone extra wings from the kitchen. I did get one extra round of fries. But not a second of wings. So if you look at the value I got 20 bucks worth.
Was ok. Not great, not terrible. Server was friendly and efficient during a busy time (Eagles' game).
I moved from philly and always went to chickie and petes. i like their crabs. it was my birthday so i decided to try a dungenees crab. it was delicious. the only thing that would of made it better is if i would of been given a free dessert like other restaurants do for your birthday.
We had mussels red we usually enjoy both very much but this time the crab fries were extremely overseasoned (pure salt; the cheese & fries) & the crab cake sauce was really salty as well. We've dined at C&P's since growing up with the original opened & this time was a little disappointing. Our waitress was sweet & efficient & we enjoyed the atmosphere.
Good thing I made reservations since it was $1 crab fries night! We got a table with no problem, food was excellent, and the service was excellent.
Extremely loud our server was more interested in the table that she knew the customers price was a little bit on the high side for what you got good part what our table was available when we arrived the waitress that we had knew that we were not happy with her service and did not charge Us for the soft drinks
Servers were very lackadaisical, food was ok but nothing to get excited about. Seems like this location is going in the wrong direction
Crabs were small but flavorful
Service was great kitchen was skimpy on crab sauce
Fries were good the rest just seemed like hype. Service was slow and had to look for waitress for refills, the location was nearly empty so this is not acceptable. Cheese steaks very bland.
Have been here several times and let's face it, Chickie and Pete's food never really changes.
The problem I have is that the king crab shells are always so soft you can't use the nut cracker to
open them. A small pair if scissors would be best so take a pair with you to save your fingers.
We got there at 7pm on a holiday weekend and the crab was overcooked and very, very salty.
The clams casino, which are called something else, were a huge disappointment. A very tiny clam covered in a pile of bread crumbs and salt. We also tried the steamed clams which were very good.
Best part of the meal were the crab fries. They're always consistent.
Great time as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The soup and steak sandwiches were served out cold. The cheese pizza we ordered was very salty and soggy. Will not be going there again.
I was told by Tim the front desk seating person that just because I had a reservation didn't mean I would get a table...instead of preparing for a table of 9 people at 6p he seated people everywhere and then got snagged by my party and could not get out of it..his answer was to laugh at everything and then they separated my party into 2 tables and said here you go your reservation...I have told everyone how awful this was to go through. I will post to all social media sites . Thank you Tim for making Mothers Day 2019 unforgettable
Favorite spot for sports. Staff if very attentive, courteous, & happy to help make you feel like you belong, no one can beat their fries, the best prelude to whatever you could possibly order from their vast menu.👍
Another great time
A great lunch with family. Impossible to resist those fries!
Service was poor. Even though we arrived at thee end of the lunch hour, it took 30 minutes to order food. The silverware was caked with food.
the audubon location is the absolute WORST! so this is my 4th time ''trying'' this chickies location. after 3 prior horrible experiences (food, service and food again) i reluctantly agreed to meet a few couples for dinner and drinks there to watch the local sixers game. after our server who was obviously ''in the weeds'' came over to take our drink order, i ordered a captain and ginger. 10 minutes later we got our drinks, mine was flat.... i mean flat, flat. the co2 line was definitely empty or near empty. the server argued with me about and got me another drink. it too was flat. so i again told her about the bar gun co2 being empty. i switched my drink because this time she said "seagrams is the ginger ale we use and its not really carbonated"..... really? i thought. ok, gimme a captain and coke then.... again i got a flat drink. at this point its been over 30 minutes and i haven't got a drink i could actually consume. my friends at table couldn't stop laughing about it after each of them tried each drink, each time. we decided, that was it and we left.... never to return to chickies again. the waitress had a terrible attitude, wasn't personable and showed zero sign of giving a f*ck about our concerns. i left a 20 percent tip and told her again as i left.... your co2 is empty and you could of shown more concern. after a long days work, we all wanted to unwind and enjoy a nice cocktail.... we eventually did.... at another local bar. never again
Food was inedible and the ice cream cake had frost, so it was definitely beyond it’s shelf life. Will not go back.
We first got crab fries, then wings. The server did not deliver them which was perfectly fine But we never got plates or napkins until we asked for them. Drinks were depleted early in the meal, no one noticed. Again had to ask for refills, and by that time we were nearly done with our entrees. Server was very unaware of their customer's needs.
Restaurant seemed run down and dirty. Our chairs rocked they were so loose and the tables were worn. Food all over the floor. Food was ok. Which meals came with the fries for what you pay its not worth going back.
The food was pretty good, but not being from the area and hearing of the restaurant only from co-workers, I did not realize it wasn't very family friendly. No kids menus or anything and while the staff tried to accommodate, it would not be a place I would recommend taking your family.
Sierra (so?) was our waiter And she was awesome. Entire experience was very pleasant.
I was told that Chickie and Pete's was one of the local semi-franchise places that you need to check out when going to the Philly area. It was average in my opinion, but over priced. The cheese steak wasn't what you will get in downtown area and was just the basic restaurant version. They don't have a kids menu, either, and both my boys (8 + 4) just wanted cheese sandwiches, which the waitress offered, but ended up being cooked on an inverted hamburger bun (which the kids pushed back on eating.) The crab fries were good but really are just over-seasoned with Old Bay, however, I like the syrup dip served with the sweet potato fries. The one thing that I really didn't like- I ordered a hot shrimp appetizer that sounded really good- a dozen shrimp served with a hot seasoning in crab juice- and they were served still in the shell and not de-veined. I had to manually clean every shrimp to eat it, which, in the process, I was ripping off all of the seasoning from each shrimp. That was disappointing. Cool sports atmosphere but quite loud. In the end- not a great place for kids, but probably a good place to drink beer, eat appetizers, and watch an Eagles game with your buddies.
Muscles in Red were covered in parmesan cheese.Very strong taste. Not great service either.
