Chickie's & Pete's - Drexel Hill
It was a great time there
My Wife’s birthday
Dinner with Our Granddaughter while she’s visiting us . Always a nice experience !
It was so noisy I couldn't even hear my friend talk. The crabs were good, but for the price, they should have come with potatoes or something else like they do at other restaurants. I couldn't wait to leave because of the noise level.
It was just okay
Power went out
Had fun good food
We have eaten at Chickie's numerous times. We made our reservation through Open Table and advised them so when we arrived. Ironically, half way through dinner we got a call from the front desk asking if we were going to show up for our reservation. Get's even better at the end of this review. We were seated promptly and our server could not have been nicer. We ordered the Mussels Marinara for an appetizer and it was very good. However, in the meantime we are served some bread which was actually cold, as if it had just come out of the fridge. Also, there is no butter or oil just a slab of about 4 slices of bread. My wife ordered Snow Crab Legs and I ordered King Crab Legs. The prices are reasonable, but it is clear now why. The portions that came out are obviously being scaled back. My crabs were basically 2 legs, which were not all that big. One of the 2 legs was ice cold and half of one of the legs was empty of any meat. My wife's Snow Crabs were also a bit small but more in line with previous times she has ordered that meal. Folks, a little hint, you would be better off raising the price on your King Crabs and bringing out a full plate as opposed to what I was served. It was an embarrassment to your usually great restaurant and you guys are better than this. Seems crazy, but the appetizer was way more filling than dinner. Also, when bringing out bread, offer oil or butter and do not assume folks are just going to dunk the bread. My wife had a glass of wine and the 2 crab platters came to $90 with tip. I am not exaggerating but we had tickets to a show and actually ate food at the event an hour later, prior to the show, as both of us were still very hungry after leaving. Too add insult, to injury, when we checked our email after leaving, they had cancelled our Open Table Reservation and the email said we would receive no points as we did not show up for our reservation. We called and it took almost 20 minutes to resolve this on the phone.
Good bar food. A little high priced on some sandwiches. Choose a back area and the noise level is fine.
Waitress was training new staff and her energy started off great but decreased as the night went on. My date asked to see the desert menu and she completely forgot to bring it.
Our server was great, genuinely friendly, checked in regularly and helpful with the menu. Food was hot but I have had better. I wasnted seafood and found the crab cake to be average and my sandwich fell apart to the point I had to eat it with a fork. I love mussels but the were the worse I ever had, I like the spicy kick they had but they were still pretty bland and gritty. My drink was watered down, not flavorful and I doubt it was an honest pour of whiskey in it. I made the most of outing and left a 20% tip. My first and last time going to a C&P
Great place to eat. A bit noisy, but the food was good and the staff friendly and helpful!!!
My waitress Cassandra was very sweet and helpful. I had an amazing time!
They never seem to honor request for seating. They ignore any request that are in system. The other restaurants try to accommodate request and if they can’t they will at least let you know. The Drexel Hill host are rude and don’t know how to make you feel welcome.
Our experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff were accommodating and the food was excellent!!!
I always enjoy myself here! Friday nite I never had an experience like this, the waitress said she was ready to go home and she was waiting for us to close her bill.
Waitress Kelsey is very rude and unfriendly. She ruined our meal with her attitude. Turned a great day into a horrible night.
Great place to hang out with family and friends. Food is good especially the all you can eat crab legs.
I've been here before and the food was WAY better. I got the chicken sandwich and it was so dry it was practically inedible.
Overall good experience. Didn’t enjoy crab cakes. But that’s always a hit or miss anywhere.
None of the three employees at the host stand smiled or seemed to like their jobs at all. They clearly didn't like their manager because I saw numerous eye rolls when he would give them a request. You've clearly got the wrong people in service positions.
The food came out in the wrong order. One of our diners didn't get her entrée until after everyone else had finished their meals. The silverware was dirty and we had to request new pieces. The server never removed one empty appetizer plate or empty glass until we handed it to her to take it away. I like the food here but the service has been terrible every time we come. Disappointing.
The service tonight was terrible. First, we ordered roast beef sandwiches and were served pork, so we had to wait to get new sandwiches. The cheese sauce on the sandwiches tasted off...it definitely had a grainy texture and almost tasted like it was spoiled or on the verge of being that way. I could barely eat it but I couldn’t send it back a second time because I couldn’t stay there all night with a two year old. Also, we ordered chicken fingers which came out after we got our remade sandwiches because they were never rung in the first time.
The waitress was friendly but it just seemed like an off night across the board. It’ll take some convincing to come back to this location anytime soon.
Like this place great mussels will go again
Had a great time watching Villanova win. Our waitress, Julia, was the best!
Everything was wonderful!!
The hostess at the front desk you need people with restaurant experience. They can not handle seating people on nights when it’s fight night and you can’t make reservations. It use to be one of my favorite sports bar to go to. It was such bad service last Saturday night I had to leave and go elsewhere not sure if I would return again. Front desk very rude young inexperienced help.
Very Good - all went well !!
When you order a few courses, they bring to table all at once. I asked why????? They stated when it is ready it is delivered to table. All at once we were served with u peel shrimp, soup, crab cakes, salad, and pizza.
Ridiculous!!!!!! The way they do it!!!!!!
There was a wait but with open table we sat right down. They were crowded, but our waitress was taking it in stride and was fabulous! Great food and fast service!
We sat right away. We were surprised for a Saturday night. Great service very friendly.
Good experience, except that we asked for a booth and when we arrived they did not have it. We waited about 20 minutes and finally the manager accommodated us at a booth that was supposed to be for a larger party. We were able to watch the fight and had a good seat.
Had a relaxing meal and good conversation. Food was delicious.
Everything was good - service was great - food was good - little loud but not bad !
Very disappointed. Everything is a la carte, but you cannot order a vegetable or a starch, other than fries. Asked about the soups. Was told that they were not made in house. Ordered crab nachos. They were served with cold crab meat. We each ordered king crab legs (which came with nothing else). They were water logged. The shells were so soft and rubbery that they could not be cracked, as they kept bending. I believe that these were pre-cooked and frozen. Then they were heated in a microwave. Terrible meal that came to $80. Never again.
We order a Philly cheesesteak, but they forgot to put any steak on the sandwich. There was only a sliver of meat and 90% roll. They had the audacity to charge $9 for this bready meatless sandwich!
I enjoy the seafood at Chickie's and Pete's but the extensive beer list and sports on several big screens could be reason enough to pay it a visit. The service is a little chaotic the meals did not come out together making it awkward for the person dining while the rest of us waited several more minutes to receive our food. They didn't have the white wine my wife ordered. How do you run out of Pinot Grigio? The mussels I ordered were excellent and plentiful but served without bread. Ah, the meal would have been perfect if only for some nice crusty French bread.
Sister-in-law on business from out of town
Ordered French fries, huge quantity and great taste!
Crab legs not as good as they should have been! They were cold & bland, had to ask for dipping butter which was also bland. Servers didn't seem to have a good system for how to know which order belonged to which table.
