   Had a great time and meal at Chop Steakhouse before a concert. The food was delicious and the portions were large. Our waitress was polite, pleasant, informative, and her timing was great. Overall a great meal and time.

   Horrible service. It took 40 minutes to get our first drink, which was one hour after being seated. Our server wasn’t particularly busy. Manager came over to talk to us, but dismissed at as she is a sweet girl whose trying hard. Our server only visited our table 2-3 times the entire 2 hours we were dining there.

   Birthday. Was in for a bite before the concert we were attending and the waitress informed us they were open until 12:00. When we went for out 11:00 reservation we were told they close at 11:00 not 12:00. Just wondering why the reservation was taken for this when they were not even going to be open???

    We ordered appetizers, drinks and main courses, we got our dinner first and no appetizers! Our waitress offered to bring us our appetizers after our dinner because she forget. We refused and were offered zero compensation ie free round etc. We left hungry and disappointed, we won’t be back.

    Drinks were good food was ok but a bit pricey for the quality. Steak was undercooked to what I ordered a bit tough and veggies were still pretty raw.

    It was my father in laws birthday and he can definitely be a hard sale when it comes to food.. All he wanted was steak and lobster so he ordered the top sirloin and petite lobster tails... The manager came by to inform him that they were all out of lobster.. And top sirloin.. Lol greeeeat. So he offered him another (more expensive) steak and shrimp instead for the same cost. And then the waitress came back and informed us that his beer was on the house. And then came back again and told us his dessert was on the house for his birthday (which was delicious and they wrote happy birthday in chocolate on the plate). And then came back once more to give him a gift card for free lobster tails and beer when he comes back next time. In my opinion, the standard service was incredible, food was amazing and then they went above and beyond for my FIL on his birthday. Thank you so much for a perfect evening!!

    This is my absolute favorite restaurant in downtown area. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal, specially the BLT and steak bites, Amal was great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in the downtown area.

    Food was fantastic. Appetizers such as the Chili Shrimp and Cheese dip are recommended. I had the Prime Rib and it was so tender and flavorful. Our server Aly was terrific, such a friendly and efficient service. We will be back

    Bad experience, with poor service. Made reservation and despite restaurant being almost empty was placed on a long communal table. Asked to be moved to our own table and was told we couldn't as it was going to be busy later with hockey game. Game was in 4 hours time! Eventually, manager did move us. From there service was excruciatingly slow. We did manage to get an appetizer but nearly 2 hours after we had sat down we still had not received our entrees. After complaining, manager eventually came back from kitchen to say was a mix-up, and although kitchen said it would be 5 minutes she had cancelled our order and was comping our drinks. Clearly our order was never placed. We then had to rush to our concert without eating and then having to eat a food truck burger instead of a nice steak meal. Will not recommend this place.

    Food was alright. Portions weren’t worth the price though. The large prime rib was nothing close to the sawmill for size comparison and the gravy was honestly bad. Tasted almost burnt. Service was good. Dessert portion was small for price.

    We drove in from Sherwood Park and we sat in the lounge before going to Game 4 BOA. Our server, Hannah was fantastic. The food was delicious, came out timely. The place was packed for pregame dinners but such a great experience. The music was on the louder side, which was fine for us, but my mum thought it was loud lol. Normal for the bar. Our dinners came out cooked as ordered. Everything was great, really awesome. Well done, Chop.

    The service at this Chop location is above and beyond! The staff were very accomodating to my daughter, who ordered a dish that she didn't realize was spicy. When they realized why she wasn't eating it, they brought her a new dish ON THE HOUSE! The food was fantastic and the staff was incredible. I would choose this location again, 100%

    Chop is normally one of my favorite steakhouses. Tonight we were seated in a booth that was filthy. Food scraps from the previous group were on the table and seats and the menus were sticking to the table because it wasn’t wiped down. We alerted the waitress after waiting for 10 minutes and the hostess did a poor job cleaning the booth. We had to point out food and drink slops that were missed even after requesting it be properly wiped down. There was no acknowledgment from management or an apology. Overall the meal was “OK” but our steaks weren’t to the normal standard. A very poor experience tonight and we won’t be returning as regular customers to this location.

    We had a 5:15 reservation in the dining room for 6 ppl on an extremely busy concert night in the Ice District. We were seated promptly and our server(Michael) was ON POINT. We could tell he was very busy but he was attentive and listened. We had drinks, appetizers, and full meals - not one the same - everything came out as ordered, hot and perfectly cooked. Thank you Michael! The food was great but you were perfect!

    A nice evening for a birthday celebration prior to an event at the Winspear. Only downside was the restaurant is situated above the bar and involves three stairways to access. Strange configuration. Food was excellent as was the service. Recommended.

    Brought my grandmother to Chop for Mother’s Day. Upon arriving we were told we would have to sit upstairs because we had minors in our group. Which is fine, but they claimed their elevator wasn’t working (which we later found out was not true) and my grandma has mobility issues. Our server was polite, but only came to our table maybe 3 or 4 times throughout our time there. We ordered goat dip for an appetizer and it was cold. 3 out of 4 of the steaks we ordered were either very undercooked, or very over cooked. My entree was cold.. The steaks were remade, but took forever and we were going to pay and leave before they got to our table. Overall a terrible experience.

    It was an Oilers game night and they were full. Close to game time it emptied. We did the downtown dining week menu which was an amazing deal. We were with our family for dinner and a movie, the teens ordered prime rib and the adults ordered the Miso Salmon for the mains. The teenaged boy’s prime rib, icovered the huge plate, they were very happy. No complaints about the food or the service.
