Chuck's Steak House and Margaritagrill
3 out of 4 dinners were sent back. two baked stuffed haddock tasted aweful and we couldn't eat them and one burger tasted so bad our friend couldnt it his. never going there again. has really gone downhill over the years.
Disappointed they did not have prime rib which is the reason we went. Two had burgers and one was over cooked. Soup was so hot that even after the entree came out it was still too hot to eat.
Amazing dinner and service. Very quiet but very dark decor.
Casual, family dining experience with high-end food. Overall value is the best in town.
The food was OK but not what we were expecting from a steak house. the mussels appetizers were just warm not served hot. We both ordered the 20 oz prime rib but they couldn't supply one which was ordered rare. The best they could offer was medium. I would understand this if it were late in the service, but not at 6 pm. Instead I got the rib eye rare, but it seemed to be extremely grainy. Yes I know that the nerves are part of the texture however this was more than usual. The open bar salad was not very good either. It appeared they left every thing out since lunch as nothing was very appetizing. The customer next our table expressed his dissatisfaction with the salad bar too and the beef he was served he described as rubbery......don' think we got our money's worth for for such a high price. Maybe they deserve a second chance.
Usually we enjoy Chucks but on this night they had a band. The music was played way too loud so we could not even have a conversation. The waitress had to many tables so was running around. We had chips and guacamole and a drink but then asked for the bill and went elsewhere for dinner. We were told by the waitress we weren't the only ones to leave because of band. I would not go back again on a night they have music.
The restaurant appears to be faltering. It's dated, unimpressive with zippo ambiance. The service was less than than stellar (was served my wine after my dinner was half eaten). It was a Tuesday night and the place was dead.
The food was not bad. Small portions with an optional salad bar. Value was poor however.
Went on Mother's Day and even though it was busy out food arrived quickly and as ordered. We had a fantastic waitress and a nice time dining there.
After you pass through the solid steel doors, we were welcomed and taken to our table. Greeted by Amanda who provided kind service and quickly brought us drinks and quickly removed used dishes and glasses. The buffet was excellent and the drinks very good. Chuck’s pomade for a nice family brunch on Mother’s Day.
Our server was excellent, the meals were delicious and their pastry chef went above and beyond to repair our wedding cake which had a little mishap. Love it here and will definitely be back.
Surprised at how quiet on a Friday night, bar side active, restaurant side quiet. Great service and food. Will be back 😊
To me and my date, the food was good but the experience was overpriced.
Great Food, service and ambience . Always have a great time with friends here.
For the price of the buffet there could have been more choices of food and a fresh serving station would have been great.
We went for Easter brunch! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding and the service was awesome!
We will definitely be going back next year!!
Pretzels were still frozen & cheese sauce was not brought, bread in French onion soup was soggy, mashed potatoes were cold, steak dip sandwich was overcooked, too thick & the dip was not brought out, the stuffed haddock was not edible. None of out party of 3 ate the food. A huge waste of money, almost $200, throw in the garage.
I had a mid size prime rib dinner cooked med-rare. it was very tasty (flavorful) but I was a but surprised that it wasn't as tender as I expected.
Service, ambiance, seating, all were excellent.
Went out to eat with a few friends for a birthday dinner. The salad bar is always great. One of us had the steak tips - they were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. One of us had the Mexican trio platter - just loved it! Great service - we will be back!
Somewhat run down, torn seats, old furniture. Bar area looked good, good tap selection (6-8 draft), food was overpriced, guacamole and salsa were blah.
My filet was undercooked. I had to send it back twice and it still was not cooked right. My husbands jambalaya was raw. The salad bar was nice. Waitress was attentive.
Food was amazing was sad that they ran out of cheesecake but the brownie was good. We will definitely be back soon.
Chuck’s staff went above and beyond for the birthday we were celebrating! They took the cake we brought and hid it in the back and then came out and sang happy birthday! They also cut the cake and served it to us. As always the food was delicious and the salad bar is awesome. We love Chuck’s!
Outstanding salad bar! Steak is excellent and the baked potato is the best anywhere. Love this place.
Service was fantastic and quality of food superb!!!!!
Everything was wonderful. The service was fantastic except that we were going to the show and our server was aware. She seemed to have disappeared when we needed the table cleaned and our checks. She was not around for a good 15 minutes. The guys stayed at the table and waited around for her and just made it to the show.
The show was FANTASTIC and the food was amazing.
Great food. Good service. Price a little high but worth it.
I used to be a frequent visitor to Chuck's in the past and have had very good experiences. Well this last time not so much. First we made reservations through open table which was great because we were seated right away, but here is where it goes south. First, the table they put us in was in literally in a corner where I sat side by side with my wife. I had to keep turning my head to the side to talk to her. Secondly, I ordered prime rib which was tasty but 3/4 of it was grissle and I ordered rice with it but I sent it back because it was cold. They came back with another plate of it, but it was so crunchy as if it came out of the bottom of the pot. I won't get into my wife's meal because of time, but it was also unsatisfactory. I don't know if because they were busy, but it's too bad I really used to enjoy coming here.
Service was slow - people that got there after us got their food before us.
I go with my wife the first time and is good, privacy and the food is good
Best steaks I've had have always been at Chuck's. Great ambience...I love the little nooks with the tables tucked away. Feels private. Server was fantastic. It was Valentine's Day and we made the best choice! Sad that the soup/salad bar is extra, but it's still worth every cent. We love Chuck's!
Alexa our server was amazing! She was very attentive and interacted well with our 1 year old daughter.
The place is certainly outdated and I am not sure if any of the food is homemade-run don’t walk!!
Awesome good deal love the place valentines day was great food was good I recommend the soup & salad bar & drinks are awsome too
Food was lousy place was dead for a Saturday night I won’t be back
Came away disappointed this time from Chuck's. Treated very well by host and server, but spouse''s steak was way undercooked (as was the woman's at the table next to ours), so she decided not to send it back so she would not have to wait. They are now charging $5.95 for their salad bar as part of the meal, but the salad bar isn't all that to begin with. Server Jim was attentive, but we have had him before and he seemed to be having an off night. Lobster Mac'n'Cheese as a "family side" was overpriced at $21.95...just enough for three of us, but if we had brought our other big eater son there would not have been more than a few spoonfuls for each.
Ordered the small sirloin medium rare... It came out still with a pulse, sent back, came out rare... Had I ordered it medium well it might have come out medium rare. Tasty though it took a while to get it edible. Awesome salad/soup bar w/ bread. Definitely would try again. Diverse menu. Bartenders are a jolly bunch!
NYE. The attendant in our section was on top of things if not a bit overwhelmed with the volume of a continually filled section. This was my first time and was pleasantly surprised by the locals and the appearance of the restaurant. A true neighborhood gem. Food was excellent. Will note the baked sweet potato was a tiny nugget, but the main courses varying from New York strip to salmon were well seasoned and cooked perfect to order. Deserts were tasty too. Definitely looking forward to going back.
Our favourite spot to meet 1/2 with friends from central MA.
We’ve gone many times but it was exceptional this week
I brought a group of clients for a holiday dinner. The service was outstanding, the food very well prepared and seasoned, and the salad bar appeared very fresh and it was delicious. I would definitely return.
